How to install XI mail package?

Hi,
I wanna use the mail package I can download from SAP-Note 748024.
I already read different HowTos (e.g. How To use the mail adapter of the Xi 3.0 J2EE Adapter Engine,...) but I cannot find an information about how to install the XSD-File?
Do I have to install it?
In my mail sender communication channel I use mail package and I can see in message monitoring, that the adapter creates a xml structure with "Subject, from, to, content,..." - fine!
But now I have to develop a message mapping and I need the source xml datatype (this mail package).
Tx for your help.
Regards
Wolfgang

Hi,
Download the mail apckage as given in the note.
Save it as an .XSD file  and then import this as an Extrenal Definition in your Integration Repository. Use this as your message Type in the mapping and message interfaces.
You can also download it from this link,
https://websmp205.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/012006153200000361852004E/ximail30_xsd.txt
This will be your Source Message Type in the case of Sender Mail adapter and the Target message type for receiver mail adapters

  • How to install a business package in the portal ?

    Hi everyone,
    I am a beginner in SAP Netweaver Portal, and i have a question :
    How to install a business package in the portal ?
    Thanks & regards
    Hassan

    Hi Hassan,
    Well i would like to quote one more point here, although you can import a buss pack into the portal but there are some std methods to be followed for every thing in portal, When it comes to deploying a busines package, you should always do it from SDM only !! although we can use import facility. now let me tell you the difference between the two. When you use import, you are just putting the contents into the portal and not deploying it, where as using SDM you deploy the SCA files on your portal totally. you must be knowing that business packages are always delivered in SCA formats.

    FYI: POP will by default, delete messages from the server after downloading them (This applies to most pop clients, computer or mobile). POP is old tech and is not recommended if IMAP or Exchange are available. The default when setting up a g-mail type account is IMAP. Full synchronization with the server. You may also be able to set it up as an Exchange account, allowing for push e-mail and sync of calendars and contacts as well. See the Gmail help pages for instructions.

  • How to install update of packaged application "online discussion forum"

    Hi,
    With compliments to the apex-team (!) :
    The update for the online disuccion forum is available since two days.
    I´m using the first version, and I´m wondering how to install this update. If I follow the installation-instructions, I will loose all my data (?).
    How have I to migrate to this new release ?
    Thanks in advance for any reaction.
    Leo

    I think I've found a couple small bugs in the Discussion Forum application.
    You can't post a new message or a reply from the preview pages (26 and 28).
    The value 'test' is hardcoded in the insert statement in the position of a numeric column.
    Is this application going to be moved back to SourceForge? It looks easy to fix.

  • How to install/uninstall multiple packages from a list

    Is there any way to install/uninstall multiple packages written in file? E.g. I have text file with content:
    packageA

    I tried searching (also in man), but I didn't found anything (if I missed this in man/wiki, I am sorry, now is "early tomorow" and my mind needs redbull or sleep )

  • How to install a new package?

    I'm a bit new to Java...
    How can i installa a new package on my JDK?
    Thanks
    Riccardo from Italy

    If you are wanting to update your Jave installation, you must download the new version (most current is 1.4.1), deinstall the old version, and install the new version. There is no "update" from one version to the next.
    Be sure to deinstall using (on Windows) the Add/Remove Program function in Control Panel, as there are Registry entries that must be removed.

    Hello,
    As far as I know you don't need to do anything to install the UTL_NLA package. The package should be part of the normal installation of the DB.
    I don't know if you are aware, but there is a data mining specific forum where questions related to analytics usually answered quite promptly.
    Finally, you may want to check out this post on using UTL_NLA:

  • Installing an additional package

    I'm probably going to sound incredibly stupid here, but I don't know how to install a new package. I'm trying to get the jakarta POI package working with my JDK, but I'm not sure how. I downloaded the zip file and unzipped it, but I'm not sure what to do with the files now. I have a .jar file in that folder, which is probably what I should use, but I really don't know how. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks so much! :)

    My program compiles fine now, but I get this
    exception:
    Exception in thread "main"
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
    org/apache/poi/hssf/usermodel/HSSFWorkbook
    ...How can I make sure I include
    everything I need to and make it actualyl work?
    Thanks! :)
    Unless you're given instructions on what to include in the classpath by the 3rd-party stuff you're using, you'd have to use trial-and-error to figure it out. From the error above, you know that you need whatever JAR has the org.apache.poi.hssf.usermodel.HSSFWorkbook to be put in your classpath (at run-time). If you have WinZip, you can open up each of the JAR files (they're just basically ZIP files with a JAR extension) and look for the "directory" org/apache/poi/hssf/usermodel with the HSSFWorkbook.class in it.

  • [SOLVED] texlive2k8 -- how to install omega into $HOME?

    Hi folks!
    Because the omega-collection is declared obsolete and therefor no more provided in texlive2008. That's bad, because I used it with tl2k7, and though I appreciate xelatex and cjklatex, I still need lambda very badly. So I want to have it installed it now in $HOME for several reasons:
    * I could probably install it systemwide as root somehow, but I'd like to avoid conflicts with pacman...
    * ...as omega shouldn't be overidden by systemwide tl-package-updates
    * I want to have one specific user make use of it
    * I can 'take it with me' (like the whole $HOME-dir) then so that I mustn't isntall it again, just to copy and rehash it (somehow) after setting up a new linux- or tl-system.
    -- And yes, I haven't any experience yet on how to install external latex-packages, so hence omega is a "collection" makes it even more difficult for me~
    The destination dirs should be ~/.mytexmf (bec. I'd like to have it hidden) and ~/.texlive/*. Therefore I edited /usr/share/texmf/web2c/texmf.cnf like this:
    % TEXMFHOME = ~/texmf % default
    TEXMFHOME = ~/.mytexmf
    TEXMFVAR = ~/.texlive/texmf-var
    TEXMFCONFIG = ~/.texlive/texmf-config
    TEXMF = {$TEXMFCONFIG,$TEXMFVAR,!!$TEXMFHOME,!!$TEXMFSYSCONFIG,!!$TEXMFSYSVAR,!!$TEXMFMAIN,!!$TEXMFLOCAL,!!$TEXMFDIST}
    TEXMFDBS = {!!$TEXMFSYSCONFIG,!!$TEXMFSYSVAR,!!$TEXMFMAIN,!!$TEXMFLOCAL,!!$TEXMFDIST,!!$TEXMFDOC,$TEXMFHOME}
    (I don't know really the meaning of adding !! and if it's necessary here; I read somewhere, that !! makes a directory 'ls-R'-able, but then users tend to forget to update it also and that's why that should be avoided.)
    The first problems arise here, because a $ texhash still returns
    texhash: /usr/share/texmf: directory not writable. Skipping...
    texhash: /usr/share/texmf-config: directory not writable. Skipping...
    texhash: /usr/share/texmf-dist: directory not writable. Skipping...
    texhash: /usr/share/texmf-doc: directory not writable. Skipping...
    texhash: /usr/share/texmf-var: directory not writable. Skipping...
    texhash: Done.
    though the my paths are correct and even the exports included into ~/.bash_profile:
    $ kpsewhich --var-value=TEXMFCONFIG ((aka kpsexpand '$TEXMFCONFIG'...))
    home/myuser/.texlive/texmf-config
    $ kpsewhich --var-value=TEXMFVAR
    /home/myuser/.texlive/texmf-var
    $ kpsewhich --var-value=TEXMFHOME
    home/myuser/.mytexmf
    Next point: The easiest way would be to run tlmgr for instaling the omega-collection, but either it is (still) not existing within the Arch-TL-installation (couldn't figure out that here or find it in AUR) -- or I'm just to stupid to find and to launch it; I also couldn't run it from a mounted texlive2008.iso yet -- but if, how would the iso's-tlmgr know about my installed texlive-system? Nevertheless tlmgr probably wouldn't find the necessary files (though there's some data with 'omega') on the tl2k8-iso, it could install it properly from an external place.
    Then I mounted my old tl2k7.iso and went to the mountpoint for executing $ sh install-pkg.sh --collection=omega, with similar errors:
    /bin/tar: texmf-dist/fonts/afm/public/omega/omseco.afm: cannot execute open: file or directory not found
    /bin/tar: texmf-dist/fonts/afm/public/omega/omsecob.afm: cannot execute open: file or directory not found
    /bin/tar: texmf-dist/fonts/afm/public/omega/omsecobi.afm: cannot execute open: file or directory not found
    /bin/tar: texmf/lists/omega: cannot execute open: file or directory not found
    /bin/tar: texmf/tpm/bin-omega.tpm: cannot execute open: file or directory not found
    /bin/tar: texmf/web2c/omega.pool: cannot execute open: not authorized
    /bin/tar: exited because of preceeding errors.
    install-pkg.sh: line 213: /usr/share/texmf-config/tex/generic/config/language.dat: not authorized
    mktexlsr: /usr/share/texmf: directory not writable. Skipping...
    mktexlsr: /usr/share/texmf-dist: directory not writable. Skipping...
    mktexlsr: Done.
    updmap: config file `updmap.cfg' not found.
    PLEASE RUN texconfig or texconfig-sys to make new formats.
    (texconfig --rehash/texhash [as user or root] didnt't make any difference.)
    I also tar-ed omega
    $ sh install-pkg.sh --package=omega --archive=/home/myuser/.mytexmf/_tl-omega_rc/omega-sty.tar
    and extracted it into the appropriate directories within ~/.texlive and ~/.mytexmf and made symbolic links into /usr/bin for lambda and omega. But again 'of course' texhash (as user or root) didn't show any effect~
    I hope everthing is understandable.
    So how can I install omega/lambda in $HOME via install-scipt or tlmgr (if it exists and I can get it to run)?
    Any hints? -- Thanks very much in advance!

    Well, tlmgr is of course on the mounted iso TL2k8 (just mixed s.th. up~), but it does not start:
    # /mnt/bin/i386-linux/tlmgr
    Can't locate TeXLive/TLPOBJ.pm in @INC (@INC contains: //tlpkg /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.10.0 /usr/share/perl5/site_perl/5.10.0 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/lib/perl5/core_perl /usr/share/perl5/core_perl /usr/lib/perl5/current /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/current .) at /mnt/bin/i386-linux/tlmgr line 33.
    BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /mnt/bin/i386-linux/tlmgr line 33.
    where line 33 is this:
    use TeXLive::TLPOBJ;
    and I don't know what to do here~
    And neither works installing from the mounted TL2k7-iso, even when I try to install omega/lambda into my main texmf:
    # sh install-pkg.sh --collection=omega
    (ignoring dependency on collection collection-basic)
    cat: language.*.dat: file or directory not found.
    mktexlsr: Updating /usr/share/texmf/ls-R...
    mktexlsr: Updating /usr/share/texmf-dist/ls-R...
    mktexlsr: Done.
    updmap: config file `updmap.cfg' not found.
    PLEASE RUN texconfig or texconfig-sys to make new formats.
    texconfig-sys makes no change. But this is funny because there are several 'updmap.cfg's:
    # locate updmap.cfg
    /home/myuser/.mytexmf/home/myuser/.texlive/texmf-config/web2c/updmap.cfg
    /usr/share/man/man5/updmap.cfg.5
    /usr/share/texmf/web2c/updmap.cfg
    /usr/share/texmf-config/web2c/updmap.cfg
    (and I wonder why this directories and files indeed exist~:
    /home/myuser/.mytexmf/home/myuser/.texlive/texmf-config/web2c/updmap.cfg
    I ran mktexlsr in my specific directories in HOME again though i don't know if this is really necessary, with the same result: these directories are not recognized, only those in /usr/share...
    Tried then
    # fmtutil --byfmt lambda
    # fmtutil --byfmt omega
    but with no output.
    Edits from my /usr/share/texmf/web2c/texmf.cnf:
    TEXMFMAIN = /usr/share/texmf

  • How to "install" Enhancement Pack Installer

    We have located and downloaded the SAPEHPI for both Windows and UNIX.  After accomplishing this we were really weren't sure how to "install" or configure this tool.
    We see LOTS of documentation and discussion about running this tool, but not much regarding what to do with it after you download it?
    We were expecting to see something on SAP's instguides page, but there was nothing there.
    We aren't necessarily looking for a walk through in this forum - just some documentation that we could read to get us going.
    Any information or suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Hi Jeff,
    You have to unpack the file with SAPCAR:
    SAPCAR -xvf <download direc.>\<path>\<file>.SAR
    The installation program creates a new direcgtory called EHPI.
    To start the SAPehpi program the command is:
    <DRIVE>:\<path>\EHPI\STARTUP.BAT "jce_policy_zip=<policy zip file>"    mind the double quotes if you work on windows
    To get the policy zip file you have to read notes 1238121 and 1240081. It depends on the release but we downloaded the policy file from the sun page.
    The documentation more useful for this tool I have found is "How to install SAP Enhancement PAckage 4 for SAP ERP 6.0" version 1.07 from 2009-08-26.
    Hope this help you.

  • How to install PDK?

    Hi,
       I just downloded the pdk from SDN. It has come as a rar file called "NetweaverDeveloperCockpit_NW04SP12.rar" I don't know how to install it in the portal I have. Please help me how to install this rar file.
    Thanks,
    Bhagya.

    Here are the instructions from the PDF included in the rar file:
    <b>Technical Description and Configuration Information
    Purpose</b>
    The following procedure describes how to install the Business Package Netweaver Developer Cockpit (PDK) in a portal and how to configure the portal so that the example iViews work correctly.
    <b>Prerequisites</b>
    You have installed a standard SAP Enterprise Portal either locally on your personal PC or on a test server. Optionally you have installed SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio.
    You have uninstalled older PDK versions completely with the “Archive Remover” tool and “Portal Content Studio”.
    If you use MaxDB as Database, you have to deploy MaxDB JDBC Driver manually and register it at the portal. For more information see SAP Note 773401
    <b>Installation</b>
    Import the Business Package for the Portal Development Kit into your portal installation.
    The business package is delivered in SCA format and you have to use the Software Deployment Manager (SDM) to install it. For more information, see SAP Note 731386
    Import the attached ICE transport package via the Content Management->Content Exchange->Package upload. Import the the file DeveloperContent.zip As a result you see the folder “DeveloperContent” under the KM repository documents.
    <b>Post- Installation Steps</b>
    <b>Configure the Portal for the Netweaver Developer Cockpit</b>
    The connector example iViews in the Portal Development Kit connect to SAP Backend System with the system alias PDK_R3_BACKEND.
    To run these examples you must define a system object for a test SAP Backend System in your system landscape and assign the following aliases: PDK_R3_BACKEND
    The JDBC example iViews use a JDBC database with the alias: LocalMaxDB
    To run these examples you must configure the system object LocalMaxDB or define a new one and add in your system landscape and assign the following aliases: LocalMaxDB.
    The Dummy Object Based Navigation Examples (without real Backend connection) require that you the System Alias PDKDummySystem to the System PDKDummySystem
    According to your authentication policy you also have to maintain Usermapping and afterwards you have to configure Distributed Query Engine (DQE) for the systems. See SAP help portal and tutorial forfurther information.
    The System Landscape Directory SLD has to be maintained for the WebDynpro Examples which require a backend connection. See Web Dynpro Tutorials for details.
    For more information on how to create system objects and assigning aliases, see Enterprise Portal Administration Guide 6.0->Portal Platform->System Administration->System Landscape->System Landscape Editor.
    To ensure that you have the permission to run all the applications in the business package, you must be assigned to the following portal roles:
    Role ID - Purpose
    Super Administrator - for all Portal operations and permissions
    Administrator - Optional
    com.sap.pct.pdk.JavaDeveloper - The NDC role
    ContentManager (optional)- For importing ice content.
    <b>Restart Server or iView Runtime Container</b>
    This is recommended to deploy all portal archives. Known SDM limitation in NW04.
    <b>Authentication of WebDynpro Content Administrator and SLD</b>
    WebDynpro Content Administrator and System Landscape Directory need a SAP WebAS Java Server Administrator authentication. Usually the portal administrator is not assigned to the Java Server role Administrator so username and password with the correct permissions for these iViews have to be provided.
    <b>Create user in SAP Backend System</b>
    The example iViews connect to the SAP System using the username you are currently logged on to the portal. You must create a user in the SAP System with the same user ID as your portal user or define any user mapped to the portal user via usermapping.
    Portal users accessing an SAP System via remote function call (RFC) must have a user or be mapped to a user in the SAP System with the following authorizations.
    Authorization object S_RFC with the following field values:
    ACTVT: 16
    RFC_TYPE: FUGR
    RFC_NAME: RFC1, RSAN, SDIF, SDIFRUNTIME, SDWZ, SKBW, SPR4, SPRT, SRFC, SSCV, SURL, SUSO, SUSW, SU_USER, SWOR, SYST, SYSU
    <b>The following authorization is only necessary for Drag&Relate:</b>
    Authorization object S_TCODE with the following field value:
    TCD: SPO1
