How to insure imac.how to carry it by air

Hi Guys,
I have 27inch imac and I need to travel a lot with it.
It is quite nightmarish to think of what airport luggage
handling can do to it. Is it worth spending a bomb on
some thing like this?525dollars!!!
http://www.casecruzer.com/apple-imac27/index.html
I am going to be travelling a lot in India and the 27
inch imac is above the specifications for hand luggage
for airlines.
Is it better to insure the imac and take it around?
Does any one have any insurance suggestions?
Thanks
Fathima

It is a really bad idea to travel with the 27" iMac. An even worse idea to do it regularly.
The glass is the most fragile aspect of that iMac. When this model was first released last year many folks were having them arrive in their homes and businesses with broken glass. (I guess Apple beefed up the shipping container after that.)
So if you do not have the option of getting Apple's largest laptop for travel, then the expensive case you to which you link may be your salvation for traveling with the 27" iMac successfully, after the first flight!

I want to copy my iMac iPhoto files to a MacBook Air. How do I do this?
Do I drag and drop the iPhoto files or should I use a Thunderbolt cable?
    Thanks.

Connect the two Mac via a LAN or FW cable and Target Disk Mode and copy the iPhoto Library package from your iMac to your  Pictures folder on MBA. All it takes is a drag and drop no matter how you connect the two Macs.
If you have an external HD copy the library to it and reconnect to the MBA and copy again.
If you have a library already on your MBA and it has photos you want to save then rename it before the copy.

  • How to carry forward remaining Earned leaves to the next year.

    HI Experts,
How to carry forward remaining Earned leaves to the next year.
Do I need to write a PCR for that? If yes then which PCR to modify?
Or is there any other way around.
    Regards,
    Tomesh

Most of the time you will find easier to create a rule for that.
Which one to use: it all depend of your schema! you can also create a specific small rule for it.
The proper day, you can store the remaining balance in a time type (or the day before if your "old" quota is closed)  and and store it either in the existing time type that generate entitlement, or in a new one and you create a specific entitlement rule in v_T559E for this time type, valid only once a year

  • How do I get the Air to add my music library to iTunes?

I successfully used migration assistant to transfer all my music from a Windows PC to my new Mac Air.  How do I get the Air to add my music library to iTunes?

thanks for the hint Chris.  I took your meaning of the word "respind" as restarting my Air after the migration.
Actually, it was "respond" (to this post).
If you are not sure of anything below, post back before deleting anything.
You can simply copy the items tin the migrated user to your current user account.
Drag the Music folder, Pictures folder and Documents folder to /Users/Shared.
Then log out of this user and log into your regular user account.
Open 2 finder windows. On teh Finder icon in the dock, right click - New Finder window
Open one to Users/Shared & the other to your user.
On Shared, open Music and drag the contents to your user Music folder.
Do the same for Pictures and Documents (into the same folders).
After it finishes copying, open iTunes and everything should be there.
You can then delete /Users/Shared/Music/ folder.
Do the same for Pictures & Documents.
After everything is copied and you are sure it's in your current user folder, go to System prefs > Users & Accounts and you can delete the new user that you did Migration Assistant with.

  • How do i update Installed AIR Applications? // General Questions

    Hi,
first of all, i'm completly new to AIR. However, i made my way through your product documentation and i'm now able to deploy AIR and a AIR Application (SFDC Chatter) and register it.
Works fine so far, but some questions:
    - How can i update installed AIR applications? If i just try to re-install it, the installer will fail with exit code "9"
-> How can i update them directly? If this is not possible
-> How can i uninstall AIR applications in a large enterprise environment?
    - Where is the ARH Tool that is described in your product documentation?
    - When installing AIR as SYSTEM User (I'm using SCCM) where is the logfile?
    - Do you recommend updating AIR on a regular base? Are "older" applications compatible with newer AIR Versions?
    Thanks for your replies!
    Ben

    Hi Ben,
I'd recommend taking a good look at our captive runtime option that is available in AIR 3.0 and higher.  While you have to roll your own installer (and updater) this could be as simple as a zip/batch file combination.  It also allows you to use the runtime that you prefer and not be dependent on what the user installs or uninstalls.  You do have to be mindful of security implications, but it's definitely the way I'd go.

As for updating, it should be as simple as increasing your app descriptors version number and installing again.  This article explains how you can also use our update framework: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/articles/air_update_framework.html
The ARH tool can be found here:

  • How to enable my ipad air coz of wrong password and Findmy ipad air is on

How to enable my ipad air because of wrong password and i cannot recover or restore my device coz Find my ipad setting in my device is on. Itunes said this must be off before anything, but i cannot turn it off in setting because device is disable. Help me

    Try DFU mode:
Placing your device into recovery (DFU-Device Firmware Upgrade) mode:
Follow these steps to place your iOS device into recovery mode. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.
       1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the
other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
       2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds
until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
                  * If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the
Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off,
release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
      3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the
device. The device should turn on. Note: If you see the battery charge warning,
let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some
charge, and then start with step 2 again.
      4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.
When this screen appears you can release the Home button:
      5. If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the following "recovery mode" alert:
      6. Use iTunes to restore the device.
If you don't see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.
    Additional Information:
If you have a problem getting into recovery mode then try: RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode.
Note: When using recovery mode, you can only restore the device. All user content on the device will be erased, but if you had previously synced with iTunes on this computer, you can restore from a previous backup. See this article for more information.
