  • How to integrate BPEL process with OSB?

    HI,
    I want to expose a web service from OSB and then after doing the initial validation of request,want the request xml to be forwarded to one of my BPEL process from where i would go for business processing with the request xml data.
    Could any one help me here, what are the steps to be followed to integrate BPEL and OSB such that i'll be able to get rquest xml from OSB and reply back the final response to OSB .OSB will respond back to external world.
    I have already exposed my webservice from OSB,but don't know how to forward this req xml to my BPEl process and finally fetch res from BPEL.

    Hi Arik,
    Thanks for Helping me out here. But my problem is when i m communicationg with the BPEl via default wsdl generated by my BPEl process, Through SAO-Direct from OSB.It's looking for binding tag in that WSDl which is not present when i created the BPEl process.
    for eg.
    In BPEl I have genarated a web service whose input and response is based on existing WSDL .This is the same WSDL which has been referred in OSB to intract with external world ( for upstream component who would be calling my web service).
    The default WSDL geneareted by this BPEl does have portType,message,partenerLincType. But it doesnot have binding tag.
    Now ,When i m trying to connect to this BPEl from OSB by creating new business service, while refering to this BPEl wsdl,It's looking for binding tag which is actually not present in default WSDL genarated by BPEL.
    So considering my explained scenario,will you plz help me, where m i going wrong and in this case what are the correct steps i should follow to fullfill me requirement.

  • How To Integrate BPEL Process Into Oracle Weblogic Portal 10.3

    Hi All,
    I have bpel process which which has db adapters and Human Work Flow. I need to integrate this bpel process [ created using Oracle SOA Suite 10131] with Oralce weblogic portal 10.3
    Please let me know how to achieve this.

    Hi All,
    I tried to call my BPEL Process thru JSP.
    This is how my JSP looks like:
    <%@ page language="java" contentType="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1"
    pageEncoding="ISO-8859-1"%>
    <%@ page import = "com.oracle.bpel.client.Locator" %>
    <%@ page import = "com.oracle.bpel.client.NormalizedMessage" %>
    <%@ page import = "com.oracle.bpel.client.dispatch.IDeliveryService" %>
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
    <html>
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1">
    <title>InvokeHelloBPELProcess</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <%
    String name = request.getParameter("name");
    if(name == null) name = "HelloBPEL";
    String xml = "<name xmlns=\"http://xmlns.oracle.com\">"+name+"</name>";
    // Connect to the default BPEL domain using Locator
    // Please set the password (bpel is initial password)
    Locator locator = new Locator( "default", "welcome1" );
    IDeliveryService deliveryService =
    (IDeliveryService)locator.lookupService
    (IDeliveryService.SERVICE_NAME);
    //Construct the normalized messaged and send it to the oracle BPEL PM
    NormalizedMessage nm = new NormalizedMessage();
    System.out.println(" -=-=-=-=-=-=-= XML: "+ xml);
    //attach the payload to the NormalizedMessage
    nm.addPart("payload", xml);
    //Post the message to the HelloBPEL process
    deliveryService.post("HelloBPEL", "initiate", nm);
    out.println("The BPEL process HelloBPEL initiated!!!");
    %>
    </body>
    </html>
    Now once i invoke this JSP page I am getting the 500 internal server error.
    The error message is :
    java.lang.Exception: Failed to create "ejb/collaxa/system/DeliveryBean" bean; exception reported is: "javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: While trying to lookup 'ejb.collaxa.system/DeliveryBean' didn't find subcontext 'collaxa'. Resolved 'ejb'; remaining name 'collaxa/system/DeliveryBean'
    Here I have some doubts:
    1) If xml payload that I am passing is correct?
    2) In Locator, do I need to pass 'domain' along with 'password' as my password or it will always be "bpel". i.e.,
    a) Locator locator = new Locator( "default", <password> );
    OR
    b) Locator locator = new Locator( "default", "bpel" );
    Please let me know how to solve this error. I doubt that my xml payload constructed is wrong. could you tell me what is the correct xml payload for below BPEL process WSDL file:

  • BPEL Process Manager caches requests

    Hi,
    i recently downloaded Oracle BPEL Process Manager 10.1.2 bundled with JDeveloper.
    I created a BPEL process which invokes an external web service. The result of the web service invocation is transformed with an stylesheet using the transform activity and resend to another web service. After i deployed the process, everything works fine.
    But now i face a cache problem: everytime i change the stylesheet in the transform activity and redeploy the whole bpel process to the running BPEL PM Server, the change in the stylesheet is not reflected in the 2nd version of the BPEL process. The requests send after the transform activity are the same as in the 1st deployment of the process. Restarting the BPEL PM Server helps recognizing the change in the stylesheet and a appropriate request is send now.
    I can see the new stylesheet after redeployment in the .jar file located in the deploy folder. I also see it in the temp directory of my domain.
    It seems that the BPEL PM Server is caching somehow the stylesheet used in the 1st deployment and does not recognize changes in the stylesheet afterwards. Can i disable this caching? Or do i have to restart the server each time i change the stylesheet for the transform activity?
    Thanks in advance
    Pete

    Maybe there is some caching property which can be disabled?
    I didn´t find any hints on the forum and currently i always create a new stylesheet (with a new name), copy the whole content from the old stylesheet and assign the new stylesheet to the transform activity before redeployment, which is a very poor solution but still faster than relaunching the server...

    don't see any invoke in your client against the intiate operation.. - which creates the correlation

    is there a way to use an external XSLT engine instead of the build in provided in Oracle BPEL Process Manager?
    The reason is to perform some XSL Transformations that use an OWL Query language.

    Yes. you can write your own xpath function which can connect to external xslt engine and pass-in your document:

    <to variable="v2" part="payload/>

  • How to install Oracle BPEL Process Manager for OracleAS Middle Tier

    hi,
    i need to install BPEL process manager, so i download the following file from otn
    1.soa_windows_x86_101310_disk1
    2.soa_windows_x86_bpel_101310
    here i read the document named b28980.pdf from bpel\doc\pc.1012 to install BPEL PM
    so i start to complete the pre-installation task
    1.installed Oracle database 10g
    2.Run the Integration Repository Creation Assistant on the Database
    3.Install Oracle Application Server 10g Release3 (10.1.3.1.0) and select either the J2EE Server installation type or the J2EE and Web Server installation type. selected J2EE and Web Server installation type
    and installed according to the Oracle application server installation guide.
    installed OracleAS in the path : D:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1
    4.Install the current release of Oracle BPEL Process Manager for OracleAS Middle Tier
    here they mention to select the J2EE and Web Server installation type because that type is selected in Oracle AS installed in Oracle Application Server
    so i start to install the BPEL PM by selecting the setup.exe-->and shows the location source and destination
    default destination is : D:\product\10.1.3.1\OraBPEL_1 selected next on the screen
    the next screen is select installation type here there are two types named
    1.BPEL process Manager for Developer (371MB)
    2.BPEL process manager for Oracle AS Middle tier (107MB)
    i selected 2.BPEL process manager for Oracle AS Middle tier (107MB) and click next
    pop up window opens with title dependencies
    error:
    BPEL Process manager for oracle AS Middle tier will run on top of a supported Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.1.0 J2EE server and Web Server Or J2EE server instance. this location does not contain this instance. Please select new Oracle home that contains a supported instance.
    so i changed the destination path to : D:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\BIN then also i got the same error.
    please any one mention the path for J2EE and Web Server instance for installing the BPEL PM for Oracle AS Middle Tier.
    Thanks in Advance
    Aswath Thaniga

    If you choose the developer version you will be fine.
    If you have installed J2EE and Web Server installation into D:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1 then this is the location you install your BPEL PM into, not D:\product\10.1.3.1\OraBPEL_1 or D:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\BIN.
    D:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1 is what we call the ORACLE_HOME, generally we create a new home for each install, but in this case there is a dependency on 10.1.3.1 OC4J container. So it needs to be installed into 10.1.3.1 oracle home.
    The bin directory is just the executables for that home, its not the actual. home.
    cheers

  • How to connect to BPEL Process Manager from Jdeveloper11g

    Hi,
    I am trying to connect to the local BPEL process manager server through Jdeveloper. However, I cannot seem to find the right option to do that in the Connections navigator i.e. there is no option under which I can define the connection for my local BPEL server.
    These are the only options I get to create a new connection for, under Applications Server Navigator are -
    1.) Applications Server Connection
    2.) BAM Connection
    3.) BI Presentation Services Connection
    4.) Content repository Connection
    5.) Database Connection
    ... and some others, but there is no BPEL process manager connection option just like we had it in the Jdeveloper BPEL designer edition.
    Any pointers/guidelines would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Shishir

    How is it possible through Jdeveloper BPEL Designer 10g to connect to a BPEL oj4J server. I tried to use Jdeveloper 10.1.3.2 to connect to my BPEL process manager but the same problem is there as well ( i.e. no BPEL connection option).
    Is it possible to use BAM connection to connect to BPEL server?
    Anirudh Pucha wrote:
    Also, The connections tab supports only Oracle (BEA) Weblogic 10g R3. Deployments to OC4J is not supported but will be incorporated later. So, I dont think you can use BPEL 10.1.3.1.0 for this.
