How to integrate BW and Portal

HI,
Can any one guide me how to connect portal to BW system.
I havent done it before.
Do we have to do SSO and User mapping?
can any one explain Step by Step procedure.?
are there any prerequsites?

    This is for Customizing Email and Other Web Services.
    Create addresses
    The address maintenance of R/3 users is carried out either via the R/3 User Maintenance (Transaction SU01) or the Private office settings (Transaction SO12):
    Address --> Other communication...
    Selection of the required communication service.
    Enter address.
    Copy or save.
    b) Configuration of SAPconnect (Transaction SCOT)
    Set communication method
    4.0 + 4.5: Goto --> Customizing --> Communication methods
    as of 4.6: Settings --> Communication methods
    Set the method of the required communication service to the value 'SAPCONNECT' and save the setting.
    Customized the same for Internet mailing.
    C) If you want to Transfer Table Structure Values from SAP R/3 to Web Services then
           1. Create BAPI and Transfer whichever things you want.(Note: The Structure
               of BAPI should be similar to Web Structure (Datatypes).
           2. Create a BDC and Schedule it in the Background.

  • How to Integrate B2B into Portal(7.0)

    Dear sirs,
      I have installed a CRM 5.0(sp7) based on ABAP and JAVA. The JCRM is installed on the same WAS while the PORTAL(7.0) is installed on another WAS(different form the CRM WAS).
      The ISA user management is based on CRM backend, which means that I can use SU01 to edit the B2B user.I also configured the PORTAL UME based on the CRM backend so that I can also edit the B2B user in the PORTAL user management. Now both B2B and PORTAL are based on the same user datasoure. Here is my first question:is this system landscape available for a company who want to use CRM B2B scenario? Because I once heard that EP and JCRM must be installed in the same WAS.
      The second question is: When I want to make B2B pages available in PORTAL, is using the URL iview the only way?
    For example, I want the URL:https://gwcrmdev:50101/b2b/b2b/init.do?scenario=B2BScenario&umelogin=NO displayed as an iview in PORTAL. I can't found any other way except using an URL iview. But I could see these parameters in the catagory of 'ISA B2B' of PORTAL system defination:
    ISA B2B Description:  GWB2B
    ISA B2B Host Name: gwcrmdev.com:50101 
    ISA B2B Path:  /b2b/b2b/init.do
    ISA B2B Protocol: https
    I don't know clearly about what use of those parameters. Because when I want to create an ISA iview(from template CRM generial IS iview), I can not find the system field to let me fill the alias 'SAP_CRM'. I also check the 'SHOP' iview in the PCUI package, and I can't find the 'SAP_CRM' too. When I preview this iview, it throws the Portal Runtime Error. Then there is the third question in my mind: How SAP make the iview 'SHOP' connect to the right B2B system? Is it the same problem that we must install EP and JCRM on the same WAS or you can't view the ISA iviews like 'SHOP'?

    For the second question the answer is
    After you create the CRM system object, Right click the system object and choose system alias. Then give a name for the system alias.
    After doing this, When you create the iview it will ask for the system then you can select the system alias.

    "integeration" is a bit of an open ended description. You can share a request between a servlet and a JSP using a forward. Check out the RequestDispatcher class, it can perform a forward for you from within a servlet.

    We are on BI 7. SP16.
    When i run that in se38, i am getting the following information: No default in RSPOR_T_PORTAL and no user parameter RSPOR_DEFAULT_PORTAL" when i clicked on yes(tickmark), view BI_Content of web template 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN(A) is displayed
    There are two options with check box are present 1. 30 template present (Unchecked) 2. BI- Template Present (checked), and a big XML code is displayed.
    When i executed in browser mode, it says Windows cannot find'/irj/servlet/prt/portal............... make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again. to serch for a file, click the start button, and then click search"
    What does that mean?

    How can I integrate Creative Cloud with a Mac Book Pro?
    I currently use Windows 7 file system to store my Lightroom photos.   I have the dng lightroom files in a top file directory and the exports for email and various functions in sub directories.   How does this work in the Mac Book Pro?

    The file system is very similar to, if not exactly the same, as it is on Windows. The problem is the way Apple has chosen to display certain things in a Finder window. Just because there is a Pictures entry in the Finders sidebar, that is on the left of a Finder window, doesn't mean that Shortcut/Alias/Link shows All Pictures on every drive connected to the computer. It is a Link/Alias/Shortcut to the Pictures folder in the Users/CurrentlyLoggedOnUserName folder.
    The filing system is the same. There are Folders, Sub-Folder and files just like on Windows. If you want those images you have on a memory card to show up under the Link/Shortcut/Alias named Pictures in the Finders sidebar you will need to Copy them from the card to the Pictures folder under your Username.
    Also by default Apple has chosen to hide things from display. If you go to the Finders preferences you can turn on all kind of stuff that make the system easier to use. Specifically what is displayed in the sidebar and on the desktop.
    your best bet is to first familiarize yourself with Finder and how it displays things. In Windows the left panel of Win Explorer displays drive letters and other links to certain folders on your drives. OS X Finder does the same if those thing are turn on for display. One big part is OS X doesn't use drive letters. It uses Names. Specifically what on Windows would be the C:\ drive in OS X it is Macintosh HD. The same thing as C, your main drive.
    I used a Mac for 2.5 years and IMHO Windows, in general, is easier to use.
    Let me add that if you bought your Mac from Apple directly you have 14 days from date of purchase to return it, No Questions Asked, for a full refund.
    If you bought it from some other retailer, Apple Authorized reseller, you would need to check with them on their return policy. I know Best Buy has a 30 day return policy.
    If you are finding the Mac and OS X just to hard to get use to I suggest you return it and get what you know. That is if you are still within that 14 day return period or within the return period for the reseller you bought it from.

    but doesn't work....Somebody have another idea?

    i followed the steps in http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/pdf/frm9isrw9i.pdf to configure forms to use SSO, and when i try to run the form from portal i obtain the following error message:
    FRM92050 failed to connect to the server /forms90/l90servlet:-1
    and in the details the first error show:
    User does not have proper credentials configured in OID.
    First, i think that "l90servlet" is wrong because the correct url is with "f90servlet" or this refer another thing?
    Second, my forms run excelent before i configure SSO, but i need this to use the get_application_property...
    Please, somebody can help me? :$

    You could integrate the Fincance systems to XI.
    If you are using SAP for FI Module you could interact with XI through Idoc, RFC/BAPI or Proxy etc.
    If you are using different FI applications then based on these applications you could use the Xi integration.
    If these applications are Web based then -- SOAP/HTTP
    For Oracle /DB2 --->JDBC
    and many more .. It depends on application requirments.
    If you need anymore specific information, please give some more details as which application you are using SAP or NonSAP

    I have been working a lot with troubles to integrate an IPS 4240 in my WAAS plataform. A lot of signatures comes up when I have actived IPS. I found out some tips about disabled specific signatures and install the appliance in IDS mode.
    ¿Anybody known how i can conduct a transparently integration with these technologies?

    When the IPS sensor is placed outside of the optimization path, then both IPS and WAAS will work well. The IPS sensor blocks the TCP option 21 that WAAS uses to initiate the WAAS setup. The IPS sensor cannot handle the sequence number manipulation that WAAS currently uses. It's outside the RFC and the sensor will block those packets by default.

    Payroll Outsourcing functionality allows you to compile master data or payroll data in the SAP system to submit to a third-party service provider in an electronic format. The Outsourcing solution available in the United States and Canada provides a generic interface which writes data into an IDoc (Intermediate Document) for transport to a third-party system. In order to transport data into and out of the SAP system, you must set up a logical system, partner definition, and outsourcing ports.
    If you have built your own payroll interface, using the Interface Toolbox, for example, you can use the Import section of this scenario. The Export section applies only to the transport of IDocs.

    You need to decide where you need the integration touuch points between these systems. So, you need identify the business processes where the integration is happening.
    A quick example in CRM - R/3 case could be Quotation to Sales order.

    I’m am in the design part of a Fiori project for a customer, they requested the configuration of two Apps:
    1. Standard SAP Transactional (No problem here)
          - R3 username and password authentication
    2. MS SharePoint App to be configured in Fiori front end.
          - Active Directory authentication
    The main issue here is in the authentication part, do you know what would be the best option to use in order to use the same and unique user for one login and functionality on both systems?
    Both systems have their own users and are different on each one.
