Hi GreeMann, Which Flavor of Asterisk you are using ex: FreePBX, Elastix, AsteriskNow.
You can use any of them most of the configuration will be similar.
To configure the SIP Trunk of service provider in asterisk check this

    Hi Raghavendar,
Generally, when you install Lync 2013 in the computer with Office 2010, a Lync Meeting Add-in will be installed and enabled in Outlook 2010. Please follow these steps to check it:
    1. In Outlook, click the File tab, click Options, and then click
    Add-Ins.
    2. Please take one of the following actions:
If the add-in is in the Inactive Application Add-ins list, follow these steps:
    a. In the Manage drop-down list at the bottom of the dialog box, click
COM Add-ins, and then click Go.
    b. Click to select the check box next to the add-in, and then click OK.
The New Online Meeting button should now be available in
Calendar View, and the Online Meeting button should be available when you create a new calendar item.
If the add-in is in the Disabled Application add-ins list, follow these steps:
    a. In the Manage drop-down list at the bottom of the dialog box, click
Disabled Items, and then click Go.
    b. Select the add-in, and then click Enable.
    c. Restart Outlook, and then verify that the add-in is displayed in the
    Add-ins dialog box.
The New Online Meeting button should now be available in
Calendar View, and the Online Meeting button should now be available when you create a new calendar item.
    3. In Event Viewer, view the Application log to see whether an error was logged for Outlook, for Lync 2013, the Lync Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Office 2013.

  • How to integrate Microsoft and SAP using Web Services?

    Hi All
How to integrate Microsoft and SAP using Web Services? If any one has document please send it to me. My id is [email protected]... Please
    Help me
    Best Regards
    Ravi Shankar

    Hi Ravi,
This is for Customizing Email and Other Web Services.
    Create addresses
The address maintenance of R/3 users is carried out either via the R/3 User Maintenance (Transaction SU01) or the Private office settings (Transaction SO12):
    Address --> Other communication...
Selection of the required communication service.
    Enter address.
    Copy or save.
    b) Configuration of SAPconnect (Transaction SCOT)
    Set communication method
    4.0 + 4.5: Goto --> Customizing --> Communication methods
as of 4.6: Settings --> Communication methods
Set the method of the required communication service to the value 'SAPCONNECT' and save the setting.
Customized the same for Internet mailing.
    C) If you want to Transfer Table Structure Values from SAP R/3 to Web Services then
           1. Create BAPI and Transfer whichever things you want.(Note: The Structure
of BAPI should be similar to Web Structure (Datatypes).
           2. Create a BDC and Schedule it in the Background.
Hope it helps you, Awaiting for the Reward Points.

  • Microsoft Lync 2010 and Cisco APs

My company has extensively deployed Microsoft Lync Enterprise voice and this was an upgrade from OCS R2. Staff in my company have complained often of poor calls over wireless. I have resisted applying QoS for now until I understand fully how Cisco APs and WLCs implement QoS. I recently watched a video from Aruba networks comparing performance of Lync calls over its access points and Cisco access points. The Cisco setup was a 3500 AP and 5508 WLC with 7.0.116 code. There were also other bandwidth consuming applications running at the background. I must say that I was impressed at how Aruba's access point performed over Cisco access points. This is because Aruba does application specific QoS and not the traditional client or SSID QoS.
I am considering making recommendation to management to go Aruba for the upgrade of a larger subsidiary. However, before I make such a recommendation,I have 2 quetstions
    1.  I would like to know if Cisco has revamped its WLC code to better deal with Lync and if so, I would be grateful if I could be shown any documentation or video on how to implement QoS to improve Lync experience.
    2. Also if HREAP is implemented, does the WLC still implement QoS or has this to be handled by the switch since packets are locally switched.
I currently have a mix of 5508 and 4404 WLCs with over 300 1041n APs.

    Osita,
As far as I know, Cisco has not done any optimization specifically for Lync, but as long as Lync is using standards-based tagging for the latency-sensitive parts of the application (voice and video), then you can elevate your WLAN QoS setting to the appropriate metal to allow for elevated QoS-tagged traffic on that WLAN.
Keep in mind that the controller does not actively tag upstream client traffic, so even if you have clients doing other applications on their workstations over that WLAN, that traffic will not be re-marked from best effort to a multimedia QoS level. I.e., you can have a WLAN that shares both data and voice/video in a Lync environment.
If you want to learn WLC QoS from the best (IMO), here is is Jerome Henry doing a 5-part video series explaining and implementing QoS on the WLC. It starts with Part 1, and the goes to Part 2-a, 2-b, 3-a and 3-b:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44t-0JYEwkA&list=UUm3YBBhcJRokmAD1LaJg3hQ&index=15&feature=plcp
Locally switched HREAP traffic will come out into the switchport marked with the DSCP tag given to it by the application. It is up to you to configure proper end-to-end QoS on your network from there.

  • Microsoft Lync 2010

    Hi.
Microsoft Lync 2010 installation on existing active directory.
DNS and DHCP working fine. When i installation Microsoft lync server 2010
    Error appear :
    Checking prerequisite SqlExpressRtc...installing...failure code -2068578304
    Prerequisite installation failed: SqlExpressRtc
    Please give me proper solution.
I hope you understand. Please early response.

This issue is normal because of following reason:let me notice that installing Microsoft SQL Server 2008 on a Domain Controller is not recommended by Microsoft. For security reasons, Microsoft recommends to not install SQL Server 2008 R2
on domain controllers. SQL Server Setup will not block installation on a computer that is a domain controller, but the following limitation (among others) apply:
You cannot run SQL Server services on a domain controller under a local service account or a network service account.
Microsoft Lync Server tries to install SQL Express using the
NetworkService account. This can cause installation to fail on Domain Controllers; to move forward and get it installed.
So that Lync is not supported to deploy on Domain controller.

  • Integration of CUCM 8.5 with Microsoft Lync 2010 issues

    Hi All,
We have integrated CUCM 8.5 with Microsoft Lync 2010 (both Mediation and front end server on Virtual machine on same location) on lab environment, and which is working perfectly on both ways (Two way calls with no issues). But, when we tried configuring the same on live environment, we have no two ways calling between Lync client and IP phone endpoints. Our Mediation and front server are in U.S and CUCM 8.5 cluster are in India and lync clients are in India region, connected via MPLS link and all the traffic ports are open. The following are the configuration on both sides:
    CUCM side:
•- Created Direct SIP trunk with MTP enabled.
•- Assigned Mediation server IP address to Port 5068.
    •- TCP enabled
    LYNC Side:
•- Followed the steps from Cisco Lync integration document through cisco website.
Are they any other configuration requires, when the servers are in different location?

You configure the CUCILync client as a shared line.  You then tell the CUCILync client what to control either the desk phone or use the CUCILync client itself.  When CUCILync controls the phone it is not registered in CUCM.  CUCILYNC will still give a screen POP when the desk phone is controlled.

  • CallManager 7.0 Microsoft Lync 2010 Integration

We are currently running CUCM 7.0.2 and Microsoft Lync 2010 and want to be able to have Lync clients make calls from Lync.  There are lots of documents that talk about the integration and this makes things very confusing (as to what to do).  What are our options here?  Which option is the best?  Which options is the easiest?

    Hi,
First of all you'll need to upgrade CUCM to 7.1.5 or later according to:
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucimoc/8_5/english/release/cucimocReleaseNote.html#wp342335
CUCM 7.0 might work, but it was not tested. The integration needs to be done using a SIP trunk between the servers. You can refer to the guide below:
    http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/solutions/collateral/enterprise/interoperability-portal/1048876.pdf
I also found this guide on the MS site:
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=26800
    Hope this helps!
    Regards,
    Tere.
