We have intended to synchronise the motion of X-Y linear positioning stages with the motion of precision press actuator. These machines supplied by different vendors and came with their stand alone controllers and their platform software controls. However, each controller has digital I/O which can be used to extraxt the digital signal for external devices. I am looking advice for the simple way to integrate these controllers and to develop synchronising motion of these machines...appreciate your comment thank you

It would be helpful to know more about the driver stages you use. Do they have their own feedback loop, i.e. do they use rotary or linear encoders and have their own position control? If so, is it possible to route the encoder drivers to the NI controllers?

You can!t using af:query. the af:query component comes as is. If you can't do it through the properties, you probably can't do it at all.
As in your other thread, the way to go is to program your own search form. This way you can use a layout and functionality you like.
For this you create a form with input fields for the values you are searching for, put them on hte page in a way you like and in the end by hitting on a button (e.g. called Search) map all inputfields to parameters of a service method you defined in your application module or VO. This service method then executes a view criteria returning all matches in the default iterator (just as if you had used af:query.

How to call a controller from a different BSP application?

I have searched for the documentation, I have found literature that says it is possible but I am struggling with the syntax. I am in BSP 'MVC1' and upon a condition I would like to call the main controller of BSP 'MVC2'. What will be the syntax?

You can easily embedded one Web Dynpro component within another. This is exactly what you are doing when you use ALV. You can do the same thing with your components. I suggest that you start be reading the help section on cross component usage:

Hello aiya,
I mean using the VI library manager you can copy/move/rename/delete vi's from one library to another.
You don't have to create a new llb to do this.

How to integrate two Siebel Applications into single app UI

Dear All,
Currently we have a Siebel application which is running with various Siebel modules. Like for example in one single application object manager we are having various screens and views related to various modules like UCM, Loyalty, Marketing etc.
But due to some operational reasons, we would like to deploy few modules as applications on different machines.For example we will install a separate Marketing application on a server and loyalty on a separate server.
How can we integrate all these applications installed in different different machines in a single App Object Manager to provide a single UI interface for the user.
So even after segregating into different applications, we would like to have single app UI for user.
Please suggest if it already being implemented in such a way anywhere.

How to get two syslog resources with different filter levels into ASA

I have my ASA's set up to push logs to my syslog server:
logging host inside 198.xxx.xxx.185
logging trap notification
However, I would like to also trap if a VPN on my ASA's go down, but I want to send that to my SNMP server, NOT my syslog server. I also want to only trap that VPN log message and nothing else, so I want to set the filter level to emergencies:
logging host inside 198.xxx.xxx.16
logging trap emergencies (+ system message 123456)
How can I configure my ASA so that these two syslog destinations will have separate respective filter levels of notifications for .185 and emergencies for .16?
Also, does anyone know the System Log Message ID for a VPN tunnel going down?

I have created a posts recordset and a comments recordset
the comments table has a post_id to link the comment to a specific post through setting it equal to the id field in the posts table
so that whenever a post loads the comment whos post_id is equal to the id of the post should load
I know that if one advanced recordset combining the two tables is created I can set the values to be eqal in the where clause but doing so causes an error in the url parameters of the page.
Plz help guys and thanks in advance.

Just do this in advanced recordset

ON posts.post_id = comment.post_id
WHERE posts.post_id = colname
Add 1 variable
name: colname
type: numeric
default value: -1
runtime value: $_GET['pid']
so in browser URL it will be post_view.php?pid=1

Me and my wife have two iPhones 3S, sharing the same iTunes store account, which get usually synchronized via iTune 9.2. Now, I want to upgrade my iPhone to iSO4, while my wife is quite happy to momentarily stay with iSO 3.1.3. The question is will she be able to keep synchronizing her iPhone the old iSO3 way after me downloading (and installing) iSO4 on my iPhone? Need an advice before doing something foolish...

If you don't want to update your wife's phone, don't update. The OS is NOT part of the itunes sync, other than some apps may only work properly under iOS 4 once developers start updating their apps. You should have no problems doing what you want.
