How to combine two Vis

Hello Every One,
Can anyone help me in combining these two attached VIs please. What I am trying to do is convert 16bit tif image (attached) to 64 RGB image and then only crop the image, however I do not know how to attached these two VIs. Please someone help

Thank you for your question. Firstly, the image you've attached is blank, have you uploaded the file in the appropriate format?
I see that the 'Grayscale to Color' VI converts the image from a Grayscale U16 image to a U64 RGB image. Is this what you wish the VI to do? The second VI simply crops the image.
Do both of these VI's function as you wish them to, as separate entities? If so, the issue is calling them in a sequence, is that correct? If so, you can do this by simply making a third, Main VI, which calls these two VI's as sub-VI's.

You can easily embedded one Web Dynpro component within another. This is exactly what you are doing when you use ALV. You can do the same thing with your components. I suggest that you start be reading the help section on cross component usage:

Hello aiya,
I mean using the VI library manager you can copy/move/rename/delete vi's from one library to another.
You don't have to create a new llb to do this.

How to integrate two Siebel Applications into single app UI

Dear All,
Currently we have a Siebel application which is running with various Siebel modules. Like for example in one single application object manager we are having various screens and views related to various modules like UCM, Loyalty, Marketing etc.
But due to some operational reasons, we would like to deploy few modules as applications on different machines.For example we will install a separate Marketing application on a server and loyalty on a separate server.
How can we integrate all these applications installed in different different machines in a single App Object Manager to provide a single UI interface for the user.
So even after segregating into different applications, we would like to have single app UI for user.
Please suggest if it already being implemented in such a way anywhere.

How to integrate two controllers of different vendors to synchronise the motion

We have intended to synchronise the motion of X-Y linear positioning stages with the motion of precision press actuator. These machines supplied by different vendors and came with their stand alone controllers and their platform software controls. However, each controller has digital I/O which can be used to extraxt the digital signal for external devices. I am looking advice for the simple way to integrate these controllers and to develop synchronising motion of these machines...appreciate your comment thank you

It would be helpful to know more about the driver stages you use. Do they have their own feedback loop, i.e. do they use rotary or linear encoders and have their own position control? If so, is it possible to route the encoder drivers to the NI controllers?

How to integrate existing value into one in hierarchy char.

I have a char. hierarchy call ZCOMP_CODE. ZLEADER is compounding with ZCOUNTRY.
The master data in ZCOMP_CODE looks like
ZLEADER;ZCOMP_CODE;
010;1000;
010;1001;
010;1002;
020;1000;
021;1000;
In query I have char. ZCOMP_CODE in row and one KF ZREVENUE in column. Previously we calculated ZLEADER 010,020,021 separately. But, now I want to calculated ZLEADER 020 and 021 together. Does anyone know how to integrate two existing value into one and display it in query? Do I need to create a new hierarchy node for including 020,021?

don't know how you can achieve this in the query...
but in the workbench there's a solution. Just add a routine in the transformation to change 021 to 020.
if you need to have still the 021 info somewhere, create a ZCOMPANY_CODE2 where you store only the values needed (010, 020)... use this company code as hierarchy in the report, and use the other company code for displaying the 021...

How to generate two different analog signal in two different VIs

I'm using a PCIe-6321 board and a SCB-68 connector block. As it has two analog output I would like to use one of these output in one Vi to generate a square waveform and the other output in another VI to generate a sine waveform. Each VI work perfectly separatly but if I run one then the other, the second one doesn't send any signal. Since I don't want to merge the two VIs (It's more convenient to operate them separatly), how can I figure out to make them work together (sometimes).

I assume you get error -50103 (resource is reserved) at either on vi.
It's not possible to run two AO channels independetly from each other with different VIs since both Tasks are trying to request the same timing engine at the DAQ device.

How can I compare more than two VIs at the same time. I am an Lab Engineer I have to check assignments submitted by students and I want to know how many of them are copied from each other. Labview compare VI can only compare two VI at a time while I want to check about 30 VIs at same time.

I'm not aware of a tool to compare multiple VIs. If you don't find anything, consider posting this to the LabVIEW Idea Exchange to expose this idea directly to NI R&D.

Hi Barry,
What do you mean "it doesn't work"? What kind of errors are you seeing? Also, you only specified the file name (data.vi) when opening a VI reference. Try specifying the whole path to the VI. Also, you might want to make sure you are able to ping your other computer from the start (to see if this is a LabVIEW issue or a network issue).

Stepper motor 8SMC1-USBhF and power meter PM100D: how to merge the two VIs into one and make a XY graph of the current position and the power

Hi there,
I have a stepper motor (8SMC1-USBhF) and a power meter (PM100D). I want to measure the power while the stepper motor is moving, and obtain an XY graph with the current position on x axis and the power on y axis. So I just merged the two VIs together by copying and pasting, and created local variables for current position and readout value, and changed them to read, and then linked them to the XY graph, but apparently it doesnt work.
So could you please instruct me how to merge them and obtain an XY graph appropriately?

Hello,
The XY graph requires that each datapoint on the X axis corresponds to a datapoint on the Y axis. To create XY data you will need to creat two arrays of X data and Y data with the same amount of elements then cluster the two arrays together to wire into the XY graph. As an example take a look at the VI snippet below. Is there a specific error being thrown?

i am working at Hameg HM8143 power supply i want to measure voltage and current simultaneiously and use the measured values for further calculations. for this i used two visa read blocks.

you can not use a single serial to send 2 commands simultaniously?
There is a single serial line so one command has to be before another. This doesnt mena that you can not read from 2 seperate threads but will have to ensure that there is a locking mechanism to make sure that your queries are atomic. In labview encapsulating all communications can be done with an action engine which will allow for concurrent execution with automatic blocking of your resource (serial device).
