How to invoking secured service(HTTPS/SSL)from bpel Process

Hi all,
i am very new to fusion middle ware. i used jdeveloper 10.1.3.3 and soa-server 10.1.3.1.i need to pass secured wsdl(HTTPS/SSL) from one bpel Process to other. Let me know any certificates are required to do this?
I am looking forward to getting any advice from our forum.
thanks & Reagards,
Hari.

First of all make sure your jdeveloper and soa suite versions match otherwise you will get unpredictable results. I suggest that you upgrade SOA Suite to 10.1.3.4 as this is the latest version.
That aside I'm assuming that the bpel process are on the same instance. If this is the case Yes you do need certificates as you need to implement SSL on your SOA Installation. If you use a common certificate such as verisign then the process is simpler as you don't need to worry about the public key as they are standard with Oracle as they are with your browser. If you want to sign your own certificate then you will need to add your public key.
If your server is already SSL and it is verisign then you should have no issues you will be able to connect.
cheers

    Hi Phani,
    Are you able to reproduce issue as below:
    1. Login to Application as sysadmin.
    2. Navigate to Intergrated SOA Gateway > Integration Repository.
    3. Click on search on right hand side of the page.
    4. In the Internal Name type "FND_USER_PKG" and click Go.
    5. Click on the User link.
    6. Under the "Web Service - SOA Provider", click in the "View WSDL". Copy the complete URL "http://test:8003/webservices/SOAProvider/plsql/fnd_user_pkg/?wsdl"
    7. Open the soapUI.
    8. Click File > new soapUI Project.
    9. Test the web service.
    If yes,
    I think you might be need to execute a patch:
    solution:
    To implement the solution, please execute the following steps:
    1. Download and review the readme and pre-requisites for iAS Patch 18855074.
    Note: Above Merge Label Request (MLR) is build for EBS 12.1.3 having OC4J 10.1.3.5.
    2. Enable the profile option "EBS Adapter for BPEL, Function Security Enabled".
    a. Login as SYSADMIN user and Navigate to System >Profile  and Search for "EBS Adapter for BPEL, Function Security Enabled" (Internal name :EBS_ADAPTER_FUNCTION_SEC_ENABLED)
    b. Set the Value to 'Y' at SITE level . This means  function security feature is enabled and all API calls for PL/SQL APIs, Oracle e-Commerce Gateway, and concurrent programs will be checked for user security before they are invoked.
    3. Retest the issue by Generating and Deploying the required package.
    4. Migrate the solution as appropriate to other environments.

  • How to invoke synchronous services dynamically (parallel) using BPEL

    hi,
    I am working on soa suit 11g(11.1.1.2.0) & weblogic server 10.3.2. I have one requirement in which i need to dynamically route endpoints. To achive this, i have created one table in which i stored endpoints(wsdl url) & i used parallel flow to get that wsdl entry. I am invoking dbadaptor & taking input from parallel activity's as index variable which is unique for each time. Like for one flow it uses 1, second flow it uses 2 and so on. But when i m calling dbadaptor to get wsdl_url from table, everytime it's taking first index_value, hence i am not getting correct wsdl_url from table. If i will get correct url then i will use dynamica partnerlink to call wsdl.
    Could you please tell me any other way to dynamically route end point in BPEL?
    Thanks
    Amit

    Dude,
    I do have same requirement, but I followed the below link and I have created my process. I haven't tested it due to my environment is not yet ready. Even though my strong feeling is that we can achieve using this OSR installation. Just follow link and install OSR, after that take web service partner link and go to Resource pallet and invoke the service which is already exported from OSB, then one window will pop up with message of Check Dynamic......, there you have to check them. Finally all you need to do is..., Test it on another environment and let me know.

  • Fault information from bpel process when exception happens

    How to extract all the fault information from bpel process when exception happens?
    Are there any other methods other than "ora:getFaultName(), ora:getFaultAsString()"
    When I use "ora:getFaultName(), ora:getFaultAsString()", I get the below message,so I am wondering whether
    I can get any more information about the exception as mentioned below - "detailed root cause described in the exception message" -> how do I get it?
    Check the detailed root cause described in the exception message text and verify that the XPath query is correct.

    Hi,
    As far as I know, it's not possible to get the exception message with a catch all. You need to catch each exception separately, and the you will be able to get each message.

  • Invoking secure services inside bpel with x509 certificate and weblogic

    Hi, everyone. Here we have a problem with invoking secure webservices (*client authentication*) from a bpel deployed in weblogic that is consuming so much time (more than a week) and don't know what else to try.
    The scenario: we have a bpel process which invokes a series of web services without any security mechanisms. Now, we have to change it to invoke a series of webservices that do exactly the same, but using ssl and client authentication with x509 certificates. The first part of it, the ssl one, is done without any problems. But the second part is not working at all, and we (I) are running out of ideas how to configure it in weblogic.
    The situation: I want to invoke a webservice, say, Service1. It requires client authentication, so I should pass a certificate (*which I already have*). I put that certificate inside a keystore (with keytool -importkeystore, from p12 to jks). With SoapUI I have no problem now to invoke the service now. But, I'm not sure what should I do to make it work in weblogic; after all, the provider keeps answering with a HTTP 403 Forbidden error.
    The actions: inside the weblogic's enterprise manager, in SOA deployments (SOA / soa-infra / default ) I selected my composite, and in the Dashboard (down at Services and references), clicked the particular service (Service1). Then, it took me to another page where I can see statistics about that service, and a tab named Policies. There (in Policies) I have the chance to attach a policy, but I don't know which one is the approppriate; I guest it should be WSS11_x509_token_with_message_protection_service_policy, which in turn asks me to provide a value for keystore.recipient.alias, keystore.sig.csf.key and keystore.enc.csf.key. For this keys, I provide values that I configured in Credentials (Weblogic Domain / Security / Credentials, subtree oracle.wsm.security). My own logic tells me that what I have done is what I should have done, but still no luck :(
    I am sure the keystore is ok (if I rename the keystore file it tells me that the keystore file cannot be found, and if I specify an alias which is not inside the keystore it tells me that the alias is not found and list me valid aliases). I guess I am missing something, somewhere, but after many hours (days, almost 2 weeks) googling, still cannot make it work.
    Any ideas would be apreciated. If anyone knows about a post or article about this, it would be apreciated too, but I can tell is not that I just googled for 25 minutes, but I have spent more than a week googling, trying, analyzing and reading formal documentation, with no results.
    Thanks in advance!

    Try to enable SSL and WS debugging on your WLS. Add the following to your startup script:
    -Dweblogic.webservice.verbose=true
    -Dssl.debug=true
    ..then you might be able to spot if the rejection is based on some handshake problem.

  • Passing HTTP Headers from BPEL to a RESTFul service in SOA 11g PS2.

    Hi All,
    We have the following requirement.
    We need to pass the following headers to RESTFul service.
    x_invensys_wss_username = "Some UserName"
    x_invensys_wss_password = "Some Password".
    I tried to first pass username and password properties by following below post.
    Attach Http headers in BPEL Process
    Specifically below steps..
    Hi,
    If you are talking about how to invoke a secured webservice...please follow this...
    After creating the reference for your secured webservice in your composite, right click on the composite and say configure web service policies...
    Add the security policy named "oracle/wss_http_token_client_policy"
    And also, for the reference, create two binding properties
    1. oracle.webservices.auth.username
    2. oracle.webservices.auth.password
    For the above two properties, provide the appropriate values.....
    Please test the same after making this changes and let me know....
    Thanks,
    Narsing Pumandla

    Somehow i don't see the headers getting added to the call.
    The service i am calling don't really need these headers.But the URL we will be calling shortly for the real application need them.
    Can someone let me know whether this SOA version supports this or not.?
    If yes , Then what is the best way to solve this issue.[i.e Able to send hardcoded values and also user specified values.]

  • URGENT: Error while invoking soap-based web service from BPEL process

    I am trying to invoke a soap-based web service deployed in a different OC4J container but on the same iAS middle tier install as the BPEL server. The deployment is successful. I am running 10.1.2 BPEL server.

    Any ideas on what the problem might be ?

    Sandor,
    Thanks. Your suggestion of turning off optSoapShortcut worked. So does that mean that by default remote web services cannot be invoked from BPEL process by SOAP - unless this configuration change is done ?

    I am trying to set this map data using java code ,
         HashMap procADMap1 = new HashMap(5);
                   PropertyTypeWS pType = new PropertyTypeWS();
                   pType.setTypeIndex(2);
              AppdataDefImplWS appData1 = new AppdataDefImplWS();
              appData1.setName("Project");
              appData1.setType(pType);
              appData1.setMaxSize(400);
              appData1.setLOB(false);
         appData1.setDefaultValue("Project Default value");
              procADMap1.put(appData1.getName(), appData1);
              setVariableData("request","createNs","/createNs/namespaceData/appdataDef",procADMap1);
    Then I am passing request object to the method which I want to invoke from bpel process.
    I am able to deploy the application but when I do post message I am getting following exception,
    NamespaceWithMap (createNamespace) (faulted)
    [2004/09/09 18:35:54] "{http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension}bindingFault" has been thrown. Less

    summary: {org.xml.sax.SAXException: SimpleDeserializer encountered a child element, which is NOT expected, in something it was trying to deserialize.}
    detail: {null}
    Is there any other way to handle Map type in bpel process?
    Thanks in advance,
    Sanjay

    Thanks for the quick reply.Actually the web service is already deployed on the server.What I want to do is use existing wsdl file of the deployed web service and invoke the method of the same using oracle PM.
    If I remove element which uses apachesoap:Map type it just works fine also I am getting the complex object returned by the web service method.But when I try to set appDataDef which is of type apachesoap:Map(Axis conversion for java.util.Map and it uses namespace xmlns:apachesoap="http://xml.apache.org/xml-soap") I am getting the error.
    Can you give me some direction to use this exising wsdl file to set map object or it is not possible.

  • Calling HTTPS webservice from BPEL

    Hi All,
    We have enable SSL on soa 11g and its working fine.
    We have developed and deployed a process on same soa server, Now we are trying to invoke this service (process) in another BPEL process.
    While developing the second BPEL process in jdev we are not getting any error but while deploying (on the same server) its throwing error.
    The second process gets deployed without any error if we dont call the HTTPS webservice(first BPEL process).
    Please help.
    Error desc:
    Error during deployment: Deployment Failed: Unable to find a WSDL that has a definition for service {http://oracle.com/sca/soapservice/TSystemOrderProcessing/TSystemOrderProcessing/receivePO}receivePO and port execute_pt. Please make sure that the port attribute for the binding defined in the composite file is correct by checking the namespace, service name, and port name. In addition, check that the WSDL associated with the binding namespace is imported and currently reachable (check the import nodes at the top of the composite file). Finally, validate the HTTP proxy settings for the server..
    [05:30:06 PM] Check server log for more details.

    Hi Surendra,
    It seems that WSDL for service receivePO is not available at the deployment time.
