How to join multiple clips and music?

Hi. I have finish a project, but I want to include new music with news clips in the middle of it . How can I join the multiples clips and the music I have edited so far in order to move them in the timeline as is they were a single clip, that is, without broken them? Thank you

In my RPD I have 3 facts and 4 dimensions and the joins defined are as below
Physical layer - All joins are FK and inner (1:N)
FACTA-------------- DIM_TIME, DIM_CUST,DIM_CAL
FACTB-------------- DIM_TIME, DIM_CUST,DIM_CAL
FACTC-------------- DIM_TIME, DIM_CUST,DIM_CAL, DIM_XYZ
BM layer - All joins are complex, inner
The logical table F1 pulls columns from FACTA, FACTB and FACTC . Complex join exists between all 4 dimensions DIM_TIME, DIM_CUST,DIM_CAL, DIM_XYZ to logical table F1.
Issue: I need to build a report with $ column from FACTA, FACTB and FACTC and need to add filter conditions using columns from DIM_TIME, DIM_CUST,DIM_CAL, DIM_XYZ.
However when ever I add a filter condition from DIM_XYZ the physical query generated is not generating code to access data from FACTA and FACTB. Instead it is subsituting a NULL and just pulls data frm FACTC.
My Questions: What is the best way to build the physical and BMM layer using FACTA, FACTB,FACTC, DIM_TIME, DIM_CUST,DIM_CAL and DIM_XYZ??
I need to resolve this issue ASAP so any help is appreciated. Thanks

Very true ! My main point was to show how easy it was to sync. I still think apple has a way to go to make this a great tool. It was fast to edit but when I want to send somthing to AE 5.5 it was a nightmare. I do I love how it organizes keywords and the color correction tools are good if you want to do it your self (check out this site http://www.colorgradingcentral.com/final-cut-pro-x-color-grading-table-of-conten ts ) it will be a great program if apple listens to all the comments but does not make it too complicated the you cant create quickly.

To give other users read-only access to your iTunes library, use the Sharing features of iTunes. Sharing works over the local network as well as on the same computer. See the built-in help for details.
To give others selective access to your iPhoto library, you have the option of using iCloud Photo Sharing, if the privacy implications don't bother you. The images will be stored temporarily on Apple servers.

How to select multiple clips???

I am a very avid iMovie user and now this new version has me so confused. I have the basics down, but I can't figure out how to select all clips and dump them into the "timeline" area. I can select them one at a time and place them in the assembly area but that takes forever on a one hour soccer game. Anyone figure out how to select multiple clips or all clips at once?

Weird seeing this question today after I dealt with this yesterday. I did a movie yesterday that was multiple clips. I was able to select all clips at once and drag the entire thing up to the top window. I just tried to do the same thing again after reading this question and for the life of me, it will no longer allow me to click and drag to select them all. I wonder if this has something to do with the fact that all 10 or so clips I was able to highlight before, were all parts of the same clip when filmed (they were split into individual segments when imported). When I try to combine two clips that are not filmed sequentially, it will no longer allow it. The help menu says nothing about this. All it says is you need to click on the first clip and hold the mouse down and drag it to the end and it will select all. That is not working.

So now I *have* used Butler with PPro, and it works very well, here's an idea of how to do it:
Import folder of clips
Ensure first clip selected in bin and sorted by Media Type
Most of these commands need shortcuts assigning - mine listed below
Macro:
To create seq from selected clip:
‘New seq from clip’ (Shift+CMD+N)
To duplicate this seq:
‘Reveal Sequence in project’ (Shift+F) - not strictly necessary as it will already be selected
‘Window | Project’ (CMD+9)
‘Edit | Duplicate’ (Shift+CMD+/)
To rename the duplicate
‘Enter’
Various keystrokes to rename as required
‘Enter’ - to make name stick
‘Shift+Enter’ - to reselect that sequence
‘Esc’ - to get out of editing name
To change resolution of duplicate:
‘Sequence Settings’ (CMD+5)
‘Tab’ x 3 (to get to H Frame Size)
‘xxxx’ (to enter frame width)
‘Tab’ x 1 (to get to V Frame Size)
‘yyyy’ (to enter frame height
‘Enter’ x 2 as prompt will say previews will have to be deleted
To then find next clip ready for macro to run again:
‘Open in Timeline’ (Shift+CMD+O)
‘Match Frame’ (Shift+Spacebar)
‘Reveal in Project’ (Shift+CMD+F)
‘Window | Project’ (CMD+9)
‘Down Arrow’ - to select next clip
I tried it with Butler (manytricks.com - free trial, $20 to buy) and it worked a treat, takes about 3 secs per clip
AHK (for windows) is at autohotkeys.com and is free.
You could start making multiple macros - that would enable you to do grade / resize in middle of duplication - and then export etc, but I figure you can figure that out ;-)

How to move multiple clips with transitions?

Im still transitioning from FCP7 to FCP 10.1.2 and can't believe I have missed the lesson that explains how to move multiple clips with transitions.
Up till now I have tried several work arounds including deleting all the transitions then using the (P) Position tool to move the clips from the primary track to some track above it then re adding all the transitions. This is a function I do on a daily basis. Am I missing something? Please help!

With some further investigation, the transitions have nothing to do with my problem. In my case there was a tiny “Black gap slug” within the group that was preventing me from being able set it on top of another group of clips or gap someplace. But even with the gap removed… I can move the clips on top of another group but the transitions stay behind on the primary (Magnetic)
In the screen shot you can see what happens when I move a group out of the primary (magnetic) timeline onto a gap. All the transitions get left behind.
Ive notices that Cutting and pasting will only paste the sequence some other place on the primary (magnetic) timeline for me.
An example of why I would want to put a cropped/ resized group on top of another group is to do picture in picture effects or if I wanted to create a background behind a set of adjusted clips.

You can privately share a calendar between devices using different iCloud IDs as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mm6b1a8694. Even if your devices use different IDs for iCloud you can continue to share the same ID for iTunes to share your music and other purchased media. Purchases from iTunes should be in the iTunes library on your computer, simply connect the device and sync the content you want.
If for some silly reason you choose to not use the device as designed, simply go to the iTunes store app on the device and download the content directly there.
I'd strongly recommend that you take a look at the User's Guide, that will answer many of your questions about how to use the device.

Hi Reshma,
According to your description, you want to get items from three different lists in one request using REST API.
Within the exposed REST API endpoints, there seems no such API can support to retrieve data from different lists in one request currently.
If it is an on premises environment, a workaround I can provide is that you can create custom WCF web service in the server side to gather data from the three lists,
then call this service in your code to fetch the data you need, in this way, you will need only one request to the server.
If it is an online environment, custom WCF web service won’t be an option, a possible workaround is that you can gather the data needed from the three lists to an
extra list using workflow, then access this extra list using REST API, it will reduce the number of the requests from the client side.
