How to judge inspection lot is LTCA status?

Hi all, How to judge inspection lot is LTCA status? Can we see it in QALS table? But which field is for this status? Many thanks!

I'm hitchhiking on this thread.
I need to know not only that the inspection lot is cancelled (I get this on JEST table), but also when it was cancelled. For ex. on monday night I loaded from QM to BW an inspection lot that was registered during the day. This lot was cancelled for ex. on thursday. At the night load I have to identify it and load the lot to BW, to maintain is as cancelled also in BW.
What I discovered until now:
- The OBJNR on QALS is the constant "QL" plus the lot number (prueflos).
- On JEST table I have all my lots (from QALS), with the correct status. The cancelled lots have STAT = I0224. But the table doesn't have the cancelling date.
- JCDS table seems to be a good chance, it has status and date fields. But my lots (from QALS) are not there. And, curious, I didn't find any I0224 status.
Everything on the project is OK, this is the only unsolved question, so I'll appreciate any quick answer.

    GURUS, I WANT TO KNOW THAT HOW CAN I RELEASE THE INSPECTION LOT; SO THAT I CAN TRANSFER THAT QUANTITY FROM  QA TO UNRESTRICTED USED;

    First things first.
    The inspection lot when created takes the default values from the material master setting like whether the inspection is to be triggered.
    Once the inspection lot is created and after you change the material master or info records then it will not be refected in the inspection lot.
    So important thing is to get the state of quality system when the inspection lot was created to solve the problem.
    Go the transaction code [QA02] and see the requirements in the inspection specifications tab whether the Task List/ Specification button is enabled or not. If it is enabled means characteristics are not yet assigned. Press the button. If it dosnt work by pressing, it means no corresponding task list or material characteristic as specified in the materail master - Quality management Screen - Corresponding inspection type values. Even if you make changes now it wont be reflected in the lot. So get the settings at the time of creation of the inspection lot. And create the required task list [QP01] or material specification [QS61]. If already the task list / material specification button in disabled means the characteristics are picked.
    Now goto transaction [QE51N] and specify your plant and material and generate the list of open lots
    Select your lot and record the characteristics
    Not you need to valuate and close each characteristic.
    Save the data and come out of the trasaction after all the characteristics are recorded.
    Proceed to TCODE QA11
    Take a usage decision, save the data and quit the transaction.
    Now check whether the lot status is changed or not
    Please tell me if it dosnt work

  • New inspection lot after SPCO status

    We are creating an inspection with "early lot creation" option. Later we post partially stock (1000 KG) to process order. That stock is posted against Inspection lot-1 for batch-1. So businedd do inspection and post stock from QI to UNR. So system update status SPCO(Stock posting completed) but we haven't made UD and still production is under progress.
    Next day business post again 1000 KG to same process order and same batch number, but system creates new inspection lot for same batch-1. Can we stop system to creating new inspection lot for same batch and process order combination? Per our requirements system should updated new stock to excisting insp lot instead of creating new one.
    I have tried all different options of "Control InspLot" but in all cases system does create new lot once SPCO status has been set.

    Give the UD when you release the first set of quantity. Then system wont create inspection lot again if you do the GR.

  • Inspection lot not on status REL

    Hi,
    I'm creating an inspection lot via 309 mvmt, and I flagged off "automatic assigment" in the material QM view because I want to assign the specification manually. But when I do, the inspection lot does not get the status "REL", so I cannot enter results.
    When I set the flag "automatic assigment" it works without problems.
    What's the matter?

    Dear Jeasica,
    The 'automatic assigment" indicator wroks when;
    1. The task list is preapared and stated as released with the same usage as the inspection lot is having.
    2. The material is assigned to the task list.
    3. Most important: it will not work if the materail is assigned to more than ONE tasklist, having the same usage.
    Check the aboce conditions, that will surely help you.

  • How to split inspection lot in Routing?

    Dear Gurus,
    Is there any chance to create splitting inspection lot in the middle of a routing process ?
    My scenarios are :
    I have a BOM with finished product X and Component A
    I also have Routing AA with 2 operation inside, Operation 1 for Production Process, while Operation 2 for Quality Control ( in 1 Routing )
    The flow production is the BOM Component A will be issued into Operation 1(it will be issued in 1 PC), after that the output from Operation 1 will be Product X in many pieces (for example 10 pcs and also define as 10 batch number)
    Now the problem is, when the 10 pcs product X have to go into the operation 2 is there should be define per inspection lot for every batch number (so in this case it should create 10 inspection lot) for QC Operation
    What i know now is the inspection lot already generated for inprocess inspection (for all operation), but it is just 1 inspection lot for 1 production order
    I need to create inspection lot from receiving product X after operation 1 equal to the amount batch created from finishing operation 1 ( 10 pcs = 10 inspection lots), but still inside the routing process and then process it into operation 2 (QC station), how to do that??
    is there anyone who can help to solve this problem?

    once you have created an inspection point you cannot change the data -> This would lead to an inconsistency simular to the following case.
    This can lead to dumps if you change the data of an existant inspection point in customizing. SAP recommends creating a new inspection point definition.
    The reason is the fact that key fields can be maintained via customizing, a change of these key fields means that the system will try to sort inspection points with the old key fields using the newly defined key fields.
    Example: Customizing -> Define Identifier for Inspection Points
    (1) indicates the position in the key
    Inspection point definition for Z01
    Key 1 (Original Key)
    (1) Text length 18, (2) Text length 10, (3) Number length 10, (4) Number length 3
    Is changed to Key 2
    (1) Date, (2) Time, (3) Number length 10, (4) Number length 3
    As you can imagine if the plan tries to select previously created inspection points this will lead to a dump, because the key has been changed.
    In this case you need to create a new inspection point definition Z02 with the new key and create a plan which also uses the new inspection point type.
    Appartently you have done so, but the plan assigned to the inspection lot uses the previous inspection point definition, if you were to change the inspection points this would also lead to a dump.
    I hope that this answer helps you to understand why the requested function is not possible.

    If you want another T code only then you can try QA01A.
    or you can create a Physical Sample with QPR1 and then click on the button there to create inspection lot. To create inspection lot for that Physical sample (you will able to see that button only after releasing the sample) Or you can use QPR5.
    But let me know the reason why you want T code other than QA01.

  • Cancelation of QA lots whic are in LTCA Status

    Lots are coming to quality in LTCA status after lot canceled by lot creator. So this list has become big in volume & it is observed in QA32 as pending with Quality Inspection. So please suggest how to remove such lots from QA32.

    If you want to have this automated please follow the following steps,
    1. Create a suitable selection profile to restrict status which is not required for you. (SPRO->QM>QI-->Define selection profile). Here you define a new profile with "LTCA" not active and any other status you want to filter.
    2. In QA32 Initial screen hit the "Dynamic Selection" function button or Shift+F4.
    3. Open the status administration folder on the left and double click "Status profile", now the status profile field gets copied to the right side.
    4. Now hit "My default" function button or Ctrl+F1.
    5. Now assign the new selection profile to the selection profile screen and save this variant.
    Now next time when you execute QA32, default selection profile field is populated with the value and the output of the inspection lots are of status which you wish.
    If you want this to be extended to all users you can create a transaction variant using transaction "SHD0".

  • 04 inspection lot with status SPST

    Dear Experts,
    We are using Handling Unit (HU) functionality in FG material,
    1. We create HU's (say 50 HU's) using tcode COWBPACK,
    2. On creation of HU, an inspection lot of type 04 is created for 50 HU's.
    3. In regular scenario, we do GR of all 50 HU's using tcode COWBPACK,
    4. All 50 HU's are posted in to unrestricted & UD is given using tcode QA32 & status UD SPCO.... is updated in inspection lot,
    5. The HU posting in unrestricted can be happen before GR also (which observes no problem),
    But in rare scenario, we need to cancel / delete the some of HU's at that time following steps are involved -
    1. We create HU's (say 50 HU's) using tcode COWBPACK,
    2. On creation of HU, an inspection lot of type 04 is created for 50 HU's.
    3. HU posting in unrestricted is done for 45 HU's (System status SPST is updated in inspection lot),
    4. Balance 5 HU's are deleted from system using tcode HUMO,
    5. UD is given to inspection lot & status UD SPST.... is updated in inspection lot.
    Now the problem is, after settlement & variance calculation of production order when we try to update status CLSD (Close) in production order the system give an error "Inspection lot 040000XXXXXX for order XXXXXXXX has not yet been completed" this is due to system status SPST is there instead of SPCO.
    As the 5 HU's are deleted hence the stock posting can not be completed. Even we can not cancel the inspection lot due to status SPST.
    Please suggest how to resolve this issue to update the status CLSD in prodction order.

  • For the Inspection lot status is CRTD instead of REL status

    Dear Experts,
    Today I have observed strange behavoir of the system.
    For the Finished material 04 insp type, Every day we used to generate inspection lots automatically with MB31for 101 mov type.
    generated inspection lot status will be REL bydefault. Today we observed system status is CRTD.
    I have checked any material master/Inspection plan been change or not, but it was not changed.
    Please suggest how this behavior happen suddenly.

    Dear Don,
                    Check in SPRO for inspection type configuration. Some body has changed the 'Task list usage' for Inspection type.
    If you are using '1' and if there is other one except '1' then system will create inspection lot in CRTD status.
    You need to change it manually in QA02 and assigne plan.

  • Change Inspection Lot System Status

    Hello. This forum has been very helpful in the past. Am a novice.  
    We have a material that wasn't completely set up when the inspection lot was created. An operation 20 needs to be added. Operation 10 exists, but no results recording have taken place yet. Current status is REL CALC SPRQ ORRQ.  Since the inspection is released, we can't change the key date.  How can we get it back to a state where we can update the key date?

    Yes, I do mean that only. You need to reset the inspection lot using T code QAC3.
    Go to QAC3>Enter inspection lot number> Hit Enter> Save> Terminate the transaction.
    Then, refresh the inspection lot in QA32, you would see it with system status CRTD*.
    Next, go to QA02> Inspection lot num> Insp. Specifications> Change the key date to today> Click on Task list/spec (It will display the message that inspection plan *** has been assigned to inspection lot.
    Then, click on Sample> Smpl. > Save.
    You'll get the inspection lot with REL* status with latest Inspection plan assigned.

  • Recurring inspection lot status "created" changed automatically to "Release" without change history

    Dear Experts,
    I observed that for few materials recurring inspection lot (inspection lot origin 09) status from "CRTD CHCR SPRQ" to "REL  CALC SPRQ PRSI" changed automatically without manual interruption.
    I have thoroughly checked the change documents in status management, but the there is change history found.
    can anyone help me understand the root cause of the issue?

    Note : System status CRTD because there is no Insp.plan master data for particular material
    Check & create Inspection plan for material & also check the Material master QM view Insp.set up tab.
    Suppose if already created Insp.plan for material,then you need to assign Insp.plan manually in QA32 select the insp.lot line & click change Insp.lot icon in Header ,click spec.& save
    Then system status change from CRTD to REL.

    Some how i am getting three unexpected observation
    1. Inspection lot stock tab in UD is not there.....how to make it appear so that i can do the quantity posting can be done.
    For your information this is against good receipt & QA32 quantity to be posted is showing the qty correctly.....which means stk is in quality
    2. In MMBE transaction i am not able to view batch & qty posting
    3  In MB51 i can see the document details but qty is showing in unrestricted....which means stk in unrestricted which contractdory to my first statement.

    2 Any clue for 2 & 3 point if possible.

  • Manual creation of inspection lot

    on october 1st  i received the  material (QM is activated for this Material)  2000 qty from the vendor 100011
    system automatically created Inspection lot 2000 qty......in that i i have posted only 1000
    now in MMBE i am seeing 1000 in QI stock now today i have to move the stock from QI to unrestricted.....
    Manually i created inpection lot using QA01 for the Remaining 1000 qty......after that i am clueless how to proceed with pls guide me.............with the following steps.......

    Creating Manual inspection lot for the remaining 1000 qty will not prompt for the stock posting. Here u can only record the results for the same.
    For the balance stock posting, u need to go to the same inspection lot( old one which was created for the 2000 qty against GR). To search for this lot, in QA32,
    select the radio button " select all inspection lots"
    Provide the date range. if u are not sure about the dates, keep blank
    provide material, batch etc.
    Now after execution, check the inspection lots for the status SPRQ or SPST
    Select the insp lot & click on Usage Decision. Post the balance stock to unrestricted.

              We want the system to create only one inspection lot for partial goods reciept from a production order.As an  option i have selected "for each material,batch and storage locaion"option in QM view.Material is batch managed and serial number processed.But still the system creates new inspection lot .Does anyone have a clue.The first inspection lot was only result recorded w/o UD status INSP ...i read that if first inspection lot is credited or already the posting qty is zero then the system will creat new insp lot every time we do GR but here thats not the case as there is still qty to be posted and only RR is done.Pls help .Thanks

    In normal case system will not create inspection lot..
    but you are activating Serial no, means 100% inspection,(and your MIC single RR )
    that is the reason system is creating new inspection lot for each GR
    I don't have real time exp. but i can share some views...
    if your prod.order 100pc and first gr 25pc -- then inspection lot has these 25pc with S.no
    in next GR 25pc- how your existing inspection lot  will update with new S.No ?
    that's why system create new inspection lot but incase without s.no and 100%inspection
    system will check whether inspection lot is created or not and open or completed-- based on that create new lot .
    let us wait for some experts view...
