How to keep Airplane mode active?

Airplane mode turns itself off when I hit the main button, and immediately starts searching for reception of wi-fi or edge. This is really bad in an airplane, and annoying elsewhere when I'm just trying to use it as an ipod.

What have you done so far to try and remedy this?
I would suggest completely shutting the phone off (hold top button until "slide to power off")
If that does not clear it up, restore the iPhone and see if you have the same issue afterwards

So here's my question, my iPhone 3GS will be arriving on Friday, so my understanding is I have to keep my sim card in my current 3G phone so that it will still synch with iTunes? Does anyone know what the process is when I get the new phone on Friday? It's being sent straight to my house. Do i just hook it up to iTunes and it ports my number to the sim card in the 3GS? I hope I'm making sense. Or am I supposed to take my current SIM card and put it in the new 3GS and put the sim card that comes with it in the 3G? Thanks for taking the time to read this!

How to keep real player active with firefox 5.0

The first time I received the notice to update to 5.0 it said that real player would not work after updating. It gave no instructions on what to do about this. I am reluctant to update until I know more about this.

Basically, real player is not going to be compatible with this new firefox version. So if you want it to work, best to stick with what you have and not update until firefox gets a new version or adds more stuff.

Regards,That's a very new term and AFAIK, there is no such term within Oracle. The data doesn't need to be active or inactive. Its just there when the database comes up and as long as you don't access it, it just stays there. What you can do is either to make the tablespace offline so that the data is not accessible at all or make it read only so that its not modifiable at all.
But still, as Pierre asked, you may want to tell us exactly what you want to do.

Keep getting airplane mode message

I keep getting a pop-up message that says, "this accessory is not made to work with iPhone. Would you like to turn on airplane mode to reduce noise interference? You will not be able to make or receive calls."

What Airplane Mode program? To stop a running program launch Activity Monitor (in utilities folder) and quit the program from there. To remove the program drag it to the trash or better use the uninstaller that should have come with it.

Hi. Does anyone know how I can track my iPhone 4S that was left in the taxi and the taxi driver said that he never saw it. It was on airplane mode because I was in Cancun Mexico when this happened. You did try tapping on one of them in that list in the iPod app! This has happened to me and I was able to start the movie from there. You could try restarting the iPad, go into the iPod app and try again.
Now I'm stumped unless it is a corrupt download. You did download right onto the iPad - correct? If you downloaded in iTunes, there is a Move tab or function that you have to select to transfer the movies to the iPad when you sync. They just don't sync over without selecting move.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

You can't.
The rule is simple: if you cannot do anythig with an app without a window, then it quits when you close the last window. So, iMovie, Aperture, Final Cut X, SystemPreferences and others all quit when you close the last window.
Use hiding. Or, if you're accessing files remember iPhoto doesn't need to be running is you use Media Browsers.
