How to keep Allways JFrame on top of JApplet?

I have Japplet runs on the client side. after pressing buton on the applet
a jframe pops up. but if i click on the japplet it hides under japplet.
Any ways to keep this jframe on the top ? if i use jframe.keep always on the top will thought security exception. I know applets have some security issue to access local OS resources or permission. just need to know any possibitly to achive this somehow?

I don't think this is possible. Others feel free to correct me. Perhaps try signing the applet or setting the permissions in the policy file.
You can use a JInternalFrame to keep the frame within the JApplet.

Based on my knowledge, you can keep new applications on top of all other windows on your desktop, even while you're working in other programs.
I would like to suggest you restoring healthy by using this command: dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth first.

How to keep figures at the top of the page.

Hi there
I have three figures which I have draw with Drawing tools.
The first figure I want to keep always in the middle of my first page.
Second figure I want to keep always on the top of my second page.
Third figure I want to keep always on to of my third page.
There position should not change even if I add few more paragraphs just before my first figure. How do I say OpenOfifice to keep the figure in place for me? I can do that in Latex. However, I am newbee in OpenOfifice .

I've got a website I made in Flash, and on the main page I'm doing two things: playing an external SWF movie file and changed the cursor to a custom shape. The cursor works, but it won't show up on top of the movie; it keeps going behind it when I try to go over it. How do I fix that?

On my main page I have the simple code of:
loadMovieNum("home.swf",1)
stop();
Mouse.hide();
startDrag("cursor", true);
"home.swf" is the movie that's playing that takes precedence to the cursor.

AFAIK, you can't. When you change focus the app assumes you want to use it.

Keeping a Jframe on top of an applet on a webserver.

I am developing an applet, which must display a Jframe, when somebody clicks on a JPanel. The JFrame must always be on top of the applet. I've tried to use both the .setAlwaysOnTop and .toFront when the window is deactivated.
The applet is running on a boa webserver, which is running on a PowerPc with uClibc. When I click on the JPanel the JFrame does not display. The Java console issues a Java.security exception saying that setAlwaysOnTop is not allowed.
I think I need to sign the applet. When I do this is can run the applet locally giving no problems, but when I do it on the web server I get the exception again. What am I doing wrong? Should I pass something along with the applet, like a cerficate or something?

1) Have you gone through the Sun Swing tutorials on how to create and show JFrames?
2) Usually when an app shows another window, that second window is a dialog such as a JDialog. Once you get your code working, you may wish to consider this.
3) If your app isn't too large, you may wish to post your code here -- with code tags of course. If it is too large, then you would do well to whittle it down to a smaller size, enough to compile and show your problem.
4) If you are using NetBeans to generate your Swing code, I advise you to not do this, to first learn how to code Swing before trying to use this tool.

Awesome window manager: How to keep application always on top

Is it possible to keep media player applications always on top ?
Following is my current configuration.

properties = { floating = true, ontop = true } }
This is working fine whenever I start application. But problem is, if I go to full screen and come back, ontop flag is unset.
Is there anyway to fix this ?

This is working partially. ie, VLC is keeping ontop propery, but video is not going full screen.

1st of, I've seen the Lynda training for FCP but really enjoy the training DVD's with the surfer (Into The Blue)...
Where can I get more training video DVD's with files like this to help me and build a reel?
Also, part II, is there a way if using a MBP to keep QT DVD ontop so I don't have to keep APPLE TAB to get back to the training DVD? My work flow is follow along and pause DVD then go back, etc.

You can turn off a preference in FCP's user prefs, to bring all windows to front on activation. That way only the windows you click on come in front of the DVD player.
But probably a better way to handle the problem is to use the tab+apple key to bounce back and forth between the two apps. Try that...
My book will work just fine in FCP 5, comes with a ton of media to work with, and will hone your skills I think.
Also Apple's Pro Training series is much the same, and are written well. I'm working now on a training DVD...

When the image meet a internal frame while it's moving, this image will go under of the internal frame , so that we can not see the image any more.

My applet has a JFrame that pops up when the applet is downloaded. Right now, if the browser goes to a different page or, if it is closed, the frame disappears.

These comments applies to using the Applet PlugIn.
One annoying thing about using the PlugIn is that every time you browse from your applet's page and return, it is destroyed and reinstantiated and then init'ed instead of just stop and start applied on the same applet object. One solution to maintaining state across multiple instances is to use static data. Here is an example that does this with a JFrame, since that is what the poster mentioned, although I usually just do this for the UI on the web page itself.
This doesn't keep the frame visible when off the web page, but that seems to go against basic applet behavior.

I have a new requirement to add in OI .How to keep OI main window fixed in the background with message pop ups atop OI window.
Even with message box pop ups , i should not have the access to OI main window.To make it more clear,when i change to some other application in my PC task bar (for eg:-MSWord) and then click back to OI main window ,i should see the message box on the top of OI main window . I should not have the access to click OI main window and OI message box as two separate operation in the task bar.
Please let me know where i need to make changes in my OI codeset.

How can I keep a listbox on top of a string control?

I would like to keep the listbox "on top" or "in front" of the string control. Whenever I click in the string control, though, the listbox moves behind it. I have set the order from the menu, but that seems to get overridden.

How to keep screen on top of others

Hi there,
I'm not sure if this is posted already. If it is I apologise.
I have a question which is to do with keeping one screen on top. By this I mean that I would like to watch a movie (keeping this on top)
and at the same time I would like to maybe do my work, play another game or something that is multi-tasking.
I can't stagger the windows around the screen because the screen sizes are locked... so is it possible if I can keep one screen locked on top of another? instead of staggering them around the screen?
I hope my questions is easy to understand. I'm not usually good with technical terminology. Thank you in advance!

Keeping a window on top using JNI.

We would like to keep a java JFrame as the top window on the screen.
There is plenty of discussion regarding the fact that it's not possible without a native call which I accept (there is a price to pay for system independence). BUT, in my situation this isn't an issue, because it will always run on Windows.
So... my question is how do you use the JNI to keep a window on top? I've never used JNI, so from the top please... ... ...
