How to keep CMYK colors in CMYK in Pages?

I've tried specifying text color using CMYK percentages in Pages, but when I click somewhere else and click back again, the colors have been converted to RGB and back to CMYK again. How can I force Pages to always store colors using CMYK data?

Color management is in the Color Picker. Create a color using the CMYK selector and then drag the color down to the swatches below.
Maintaining a color is not easy but you can create color swatches and reuse those.

As long as the registration page is within the same session, the values will remain in the session until they are specifically cleared out. This can be done by a process on a page - so check if you have a "reset page" process on P1 and, if you do, delete it. This can also be done on a branch - so check the branch that takes you to P2 and see if there is anything entered in the Clear Cache setting and, if it shows *1*, remove that. There are other ways as well, but these are most typical.

When I click page tabs in WLP, it will trigger a refresh event.
The portlet has a webflow with a refresh event whose destination is
lastContentUrl(referent-namespace is portal, cloned from portlet2.wf).
The question is when the page changed, the jsp files which use
request.getParameter() to get parameters will fail to fulfill what they
need because the event provide none parameter.
So that everytime page changed, these portlets will have quite strange
contents.
How to keep these content constant when page changed?

The problem is still there if the jsp file is about inserting a new record
into the database.
If these parameters are gotten from the session, mutliple insertings will be
attempted when the portlet is refresh.
Maybe we can put some control flags in the session to judge the correct
behavior, but the method results the session full of parameters(control
flags).
Or is there any better design?

You could use the session to put your parameters in instead of letting itride completely
on the request object. Although, your question is more than just makingthe content
reappear, it’s about holding state. The project that I am working on, theusers
decided that they want the page portlets to go back to the "normal" state,not the
"Maximized" view. So, I put a processor in between the internal.refreshwildcard
and the Preprocessor input processor so that all the portlets would beseen in their
"normal" state.

How to change background color only in specific pages???

Hi! I try to change color of background in pdf document using adobe reader, but it only changes all pages together and I can't find a way to do it on selected pages(or even select them). For example I need to change only 1st and last page to grey background color and leave the middle pages with white background color. Please help! Thanks

I seldom use Word so I can't help you with that problem. It could be in the way you are adding the background in Word but again, I use it about oncve a month.
If you have Adobe Illustrator, you could do it there by adding a colored box in a layer behind the text (you can open the pdf directly in Illy).

I'm working with Flash 8, with the FLV player component. The
player loads various flash videos (flv)
that can have verious sizes.
I have set the autosize detection for the player. But I want
the size of the embeded player to also
change according to the size of the loaded flv.
For example, if the loaded flv is 100px by 100px, I want the
embeded player to be 100px by 100px (in
the html code). if the flv is 500px by 350px, i want the
embeded flav to change to that 500 x 350px.
As far as I know, the sizes of the flv file cannot be
detected with PHP or javascript, so only the
component can detect the flv size. Therefore I would need a
way to re-write the embeded code after
the flv has loaded.
Anybody knows how to do that? Is it possible?

How can I convert Pdf from RGB to CMYK, keeping font color 100% K while working in Illustrator?
When I try to open the document in Illustrator and I convert to CMYK the black font converts to rich black, but to set up for Offset printintg I need the text to be only in Black (100%K).
The original source of the document is a Microsoft Word file, I have converted the Word file to Pdf in order to setup for OFfset Printing.

I have tried that way, but the downside is that the fonts are set in gray not in a 100%K, also I have to deal with other fonts that are composites and meant to stay Full Color. I could select text by text and convert to gray but, its a 64 page document and I wouldn't want to make a expensive mistake.

How to change CMYK art to grayscale?

I am trying to change a CMYK vector file to grayscale in CS4.
I went to Edit/Edit Colors/ Change to Grayscale. The .AI vector art now looks gray on screen, but the title says "Icon.ai@100% (CMYK/Preview)". It still reproduces as a CMYK file and not Grayscale.
I can't place this into a 2 spot colour document. What am I missing?

Here is a recap -
- the vector file was received from the customer as a CMYK PDF file. It is to be placed in a two spot colour flyer.
- I used Illustrator CS4 to open it and convert it to grayscale. It will print black only in the flyer.
It looks grayscale on the screen and yet says "CMYK" in the title.
I am not sure where to look in the palettes to confirm its colour mode.
- When I place the file in my InDesign CS4 document and Package the document, it shows up as a CMYK file. When I delete the file from that document, I end up with one spot colour and one process colour (black) job which is what I want.
So, this vector file is confusing me. How do I tell in Illustrator if it is CMYK or grayscale?

How to keep color when switching from RGB to Indexed Color Mode?

I'm working in Photoshop CS6
In Photoshop I've designed a custom crop screen for use in Magic Lantern (a program that runs with Canon cameras) The project is in 8bit RGB and to be able to use it (in Magic Lantern) I have to change it to Indexed Color (using a an .act file provided fom them) Then I have to save it as a .bmp. When I chnage from RGB to Indexed color (loading the .act file) the color in my Photoshop project turns to grey.
I haven't worked with Indexed colors or changing the color mode etc.
My question is... how can I keep the color (or a color similar, compatible color) to what I created in RGB when I convert it to Indexed Color using the .act file?
Any suggestions?

Was using OnRequestEnd.cfm to load copyright info at bottom
of each page but page size varied and copyright info would appear

with CFFORM, us have to set the attribute 'wMode=transparent' in
CFFORM so text is above form. Tested in IE and Netscape. Put at end
of individual templates or inside OnRequestEnd.cfm - Enjoy!
