How to Keep one person's IM's.

I have an iPhone 5 that has a backload of messages in it from one particular person.  I want to download those messages from beginning to end and store them on my computer in a usable form.
I am running MAC Mavericks.
How can I do this.  My backups of this phone are done to my computer.
Thanks~!

Backups to a computer done using iTunes include messages but the backups are stored in a format that is intended only for use in restoring to the phone. There is 3rd party software such as http://www.wideanglesoftware.com/touchcopy/ than can transfer messages to a computer. Another option is 3rd party software that will extract the messages from an iTunes backup.

  • How to keep my personal hotspot on always with no changes to off?

HI,i have two devices and i want to keep the personal hotspot on all the time. How do I have to keep the personal hotspot on all the time and not to be changed In case I want to track it? Thank you

If you are using the Music App, it should continue to play the songs while playing solitaire, unless the game app settings prevent it, which I really doubt.
Quit both apps - Music and Solitaire and reboot the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
Try again and see if it works properly.

  • LR2 How to select one person in a picture

New to LR and I'm trying to select just one person in a picture and remove everything else.  What tool do I use or should I use Photoshop

That's not the type of operation LR was designed for. So yes, Photoshop remains the best way to deal with ex-spouses.

  • How to keep one-time-only audio files out of iTunes?

If someone sends me an audio file that I want to play just once ... or if I record a voice memo on my iPhone ... these audio files wind up copied into my iTunes folder and listed in iTunes. I'd rather they weren't.
Is there some way I can just play an audio file, or record a voice memo, and not have it copied into the iTunes folder and displayed in iTunes? If so, it would save me all the manual deleting every time one of these things shows up.

Thanks, that works, but it's not exactly what I'm looking for. Rather than have to search for the file in Finder and then hit the space-bar, I'd like to be able to simply double-click on an audio file, let it play in iTunes, but not be copied to the iTunes folder and remain in the iTunes browser until I delete it.
Also, I need to find a way to keep voice memos from residing in iTunes. I use them a lot, and they just clutter it up.
    Thanks much.

  • How to send a message to just one person when it keeps sending to previous group?

I want to be able to send a text message to just one person at a time.
My iPhone 4s keeps sending messages to all the people that have been grouped with the intended recipient, no matter if I put ONLY that recipients name in the box.
    I have:
         - cleared out the list of previous messages (even tho I hated to do so).
        -  turned off group messaging.
         - shut down my phone, waited 30 min and restarted it.
    None of that worked,
    Please help!

Have you tried going to your contact list - said contact - send message?

  • How do we split our iCloud accounts but keep one iTunes account so we can share purchased content for our multiple iPhones and iPads?

How do we split our iCloud accounts but keep one iTunes account so we can share purchased content for our multiple iPhones and iPads?

You can migrate a copy of the data to a new account, then delete the other person's data from each account.  To do this, on the phone that will be changing accounts, if you have any photos in photo stream that you want to keep on the phone, save these to your camera roll by opening the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tapping Edit, then tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share and tap Save to Camera Roll. If you have any synced notes that you want to keep on the phone, email these to yourself so you can create new notes in the new account.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud.  The phone that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.)  When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone.  Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom).  Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to the new account.  You will create a new icloud email address with you turn Mail to On.
Finally, to un-merge the data you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't want (such as deleting your wife's data from your account, and vice versa).

  • Forwarding messages to more than one person at a time, how in the heck do i do it ??

    Hi there!
I hope you are enjoying your new phone.
In order to forward a text message to multiple people, just long-press on the message you want to send and select 'Forward'. In the 'To:' field begin typing the first persons name, then hit the 'enter' key. This will typically move the cursor down to the message, just tap on the 'To:' field again and begin typing the second person's name, and so on and so forth until you get all the people included.
Keep in mind, if you have a limited texting package that sent messages are billed per recipient. Example, if you forward a text to 10 people, then 10 messages go against the allowance.
    Have a great day!

I do exactly as Thomas Reed does. Always have from day one. Going on 15 months now and I get at least 10 hours of use out the battery every day. No matter how much juice is left on the device when I go to bed - I put the iPad on the charger - doesn't matter what the battery gauge says - I plug it in and let it charge all night.

  • How to keep multiple function modules under one Web service

    Hi Experts,
I have Three RFC function modules and i need to create one web service for these three RFC function modules. I know How to crearte a web service for one function module.
please suggest me How to keep multiple function modules under one Web service.
    Thanks in advance
    Lakshminarayana

    Hi Lakshmi,
The best way to do it is to assign all the three RFC Enabled FM's to one function group. Later on the top menu in Utilities you get an option to Create a Webservice from a Function Group.
You can create one single Webservice using all the the 3 FM's.
    I hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Manu

  • How do I transfer personal data from one iPhone to another?

How do I transfer personal data (contacts etc) from one iPhone to another (3GS to 4)?

You're gonna have to start over if you want to use the backup of your 3GS to restore to your iPhone 4. So, in iTunes>Preferences(under the edit menu if using Windows)>Devices...delete any and all backups listed for your iPhone 4(there should only be one). Then, on your iPhone 4: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. That should take but a minute or so, then plug your phone in, iTunes running, name it what you want & restore it from your 3GS backup. Follow this by syncing your iTunes content back to your phone.

  • If I have two email accounts, one personal hotmail account and one MS Exchange work account, how can I setup individual notifications for each account. Right now, any email from any account has the same notification. I want work to be different than perso

If I have two email accounts, one personal hotmail account and one MS Exchange work account on my iPhone 4s, How can I setup individual notifications for each account? Fore example, if I get a work email, I want to hear a DING, DING....If I get a personal email, I want to hear a BEEP, BEEP. Right now, any email from any account has the same notification. I want work incoming email notification to be different than personal incoming notification. The only semi-workaround I've seen is just disable any notification for the Hotmail account, so only work emails would notify. But then I don't know when I get a personal email. Even the lowely Blackberry Torch 9800 has this feature..not iPhone 4s??
    Thanks

Sorry you get only one notification sound for all email accounts.  you can send a suggestion to apple here http://www.apple.com/feedback/

I have 2 e-mail acccounts on my Ipad, one personal, one business, how do I send from the correct
address? At this point it does not give me an option.

You can set a default email address here:
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > underthe Mail section - Default Account.
Any email you start will use this account by default but you can change this manuall by tapping the email address in the From field. That whill bring up a dial to select the email address you want to send from.

  • How do people register for more than one person on a form?

We had a lot of complaints last year from organizations who sent several employees to our training.  It took a long time for them to process these one at a time.  How do people register for more than one person on a form?

    Hi thearcca,
This entirely depends on the form you create, you can add multiple choice button and ask for the no. of employees the organization wants to register.
Also, you can add corresponding text field for the names.
    Thanks,

  • How do I send, or bcc to more than one person at a time?

I have used outlook express for years and grown very familiar with it. I switched to Thunderbird because of mail problems in WIN7. I have no problem receiving, or sending to one person. The email autofills the name of the first person, but when I try to type another name, the first is deleted. This is the same on TO: or BCC. Also, is there a way to avoid having to click on the field "show remote content" on every message.
    Thanks for any assistance.
    Norman

    I missed your 2nd question.
This article explains how to always show remote content and the risks of doing so. You can make that call. Adding your trusted senders to your address book will allow content from them and is the recommended action.
