How to keep playlists synced between all devices

How is the easiest way to keep all music, playlists, etc. synced between all devices (computer, iPhone, iPad).  Isn't there a way without connecting via usb or wifi?

As Bob says, any iMap service can do this. GMail can, iCLoud mail can too.
Both of these can be used with Mail on any device.

  • How do I stop syncing across all devices (2 iPhones, iPad)?

I currently have 2 iPhones (3Gs & 4S) and an iPad (original) - the 3Gs phone is currently being used as an iPod Touch only.  I gave my grandson the 3Gs to use as an iPod for apps and music, he downloads free games all the time, and they keep showing up on my iPhone 4s and occasionally on my iPad.  When I download apps (paid or free) he gets them sometimes also.  I am concerned that he might also get my books on iBooks, which typically are adult and may/may not have adult situations (he is 9 yo).   I turned Home Sharing off.  While I would like to set him up with his own account, I don't want him to lose the apps and music he does have.
    Any other suggestions?

If you use the files.acrobat.com uploader button in Adobe Reader on the desktop (or visit the website and do it from there), you can download them into the mobile versions of Adobe Reader; and if you do something on your mobile like add a comment they will re-sync back to the cloud.

Restore from old iPhone backup can past all data including messages to your new iPhone. Or you can resfer to this iPhone 4/4S SMS to iPhone 5 transfer tutorial. It shows you how to transfer messages only.

How is it best to keep files synced between iMac and Macbook?  I work from home on my iMac and then out in meetings on my Macbook and need to have access to the same files on both.  The folders are using Microsoft programmes as this is compatiable with 90% of my colleagues, therefore I can't use the Icloud service.

No, the camera connection kit only supports the copying of photos and videos to the Photos app, it doesn't support copying content off the iPad. For your second camera instead of the SD reader part of the kit, does the iPad to camera cable not work with it for direct transfer to the iPad ?
For Lightroom and Nikon software again no - you can only install apps that are available in the iTunes app store on your computer and the App Store app on the iPad, 'normal' PC and Mac (OS X) software are not compatible with the iPad (iOS). There are some apps that perform fairly basic editing functions that are available in the store, but nothing as sophisticated as, for example, Lightroom.

  • How to turn off syncing for 2 devices that share the same Apple ID?

Hello, I really need help, my dad and I share the same apple ID and when he updated his phone to iOS 7, my messages autimatically syncs to his phone. So now he can read my imessages, is there a way for me to turn this off? Note that my dad does not live with me and I have no physical access to his phone. Also my phone is the 4 and his is the 4s. Please let me know soon! thank you!

HI. Me and my dad share the same apple id. I just found it out recently since he bought a new apple device ios 8, and all his bookmarks in safari kept on appearing on my ipad and the customer guide books that he purchased for his ios 8 appeared on my ibooks. How can i stop syncing with him ? Also i want to know if the old books i have in my ibooks and photos in my photo stream have been synced to his new ipad also? I cant see his ipad since he's far away from me right now. I just turned off all options in my icloud setting, will this erase all the syncing between our devices? Please answer soon. Thank you so much.

  • Contacts and Calendar not sync across all devices

Installed mavericks a few weeks ago.  Just looked at a contact on my iPad and iPhone and noted that changes made on my MacBook Pro are not showing up on either of these 2 devices.  What is going on?  I used to sync manually using iTunes.  Tried this just now and does not update info in either calendar or contacts.  I used to see :syncing Calendar, syncing contacts in the window describing progress - this does not appear.
Very very confused. Syncing across all devices very important.  spend a lot of time in rural areas with no access to wi-fi.  Am I trapped in iCloud only? if so How does that work??   Help!

Still confused - now I have multiple copies of the same event on my MacBook Pro, and iPad, and not at all on my i iPhone,
Just created a dummy contact on my iPad, and it appeared on MacBook Pro but not on iPhone. turned off iPhone and turned back on and new contact appeared.
My calendar on iPhone has no data from the time I started using Mavericks until a dummy event I added this afternoon.  Do I need to turn my iPhone off and then back on to get it to sync? even with turning off and on the missing calendar items have not appeared.
I am a bit reluctant (afraid) to go to the web and look at my iCloud.com account for fear of sending yet another copy of the same calendar appointments  and duplicate contacts / contacts info to myself on my devices.  I have multiple copies of the same contact on my MacBook Pro. some of the contacts have 3 or 4 duplicates of the same information - example "home phone" or "e-mail address."  Sometimes I have 3 or 4 copies of the same contact card.
Hope you are having a better day, I am completely confused and more than a bit frustrated.  Has anyone written an app to replace sync services in Mavericks?  I would gladly pay for it!

My photos will not sync to my Apple TV (1st generation), ipad, iphone, or itouch. They used to be there but upon recent syncs with all devices they have all gone. I am totally baffled as I have not changed settings?

I had the same thing happen to me.  It's a bug in iPhoto 9.4.2.
The first time you run iPhoto after upgrading to iPhoto 9.4.2, it "updates the iPhoto library".  This sometimes tickles a bug where iTunes can see all your iPhoto albums, but iTunes thinks they are empty.  Since iTunes thinks all your albums are empty, it dutifully deletes any photos from your synced iOS devices.
It's easy to tell if this is the problem you are seeing.  Open iTunes and go to the photos sync panel for one of your iOS devices.  If you have multiple albums checked, but iTunes shows a total of 0 photos, then you have the problem.
I spent an hour with an Apple Genius.  he couldn't find any mention of this problem in their internal support system.  His recomendation was to reinstall the operating the system.  I suspect that this won't solve it.
The only solution I have found is to restore iPhoto 9.4.1 and the corresponding iPhoto library from your backups.
I would refrain from upgrading to iPhoto 9.4.2 until Apple has a fix for this issue.

  • How to block a website (for all devices) on an EA6900

I'm trying to figure out how to block a website for all devices connected to my router. The only thing I can find is blocking websites by device. Please tell me that they did not take this feature away.

welcome to the 'smart' world.  I think one of the best improvements Belkin could do is to give us back the option of the old gui. so much more useful.

  • How do I sign out of all devices?

How do I sign out of all devices? I need to do this because I am new to firefox and couldn' t find the sign out option when I was using another computer away from home.

Change your Apple ID password.  That won't 'sign them out', but it will bock access or use of that Apple ID, so they'll have to sign out anyways.

  • How to keep playlists in sync between two computers?

I have a MacBook Pro and a regular desktop Windows 7, and I have all of my music on both of them. However, I constantly keep adding new songs to different playlists all the time, and this makes it hard to keep everything in sync with both computers and my iPod because I usually sync from my Mac.
Right now I export the updated playlists on one of the computers and import it on the other, but it's quite the hassle just to keep some playlists in sync. I tried using home sharing, but it just keeps downloading duplicates everytime I try to import, I would've thought it was smarter by just adding the new songs but appearently it isn't.
So, anyways, is there any easy way for me to automatically keep playlists in sync between two computers?

I am indeed subscribed to iTunes Match.  Are you saying that with Match, it will sync my playlists?  I will have to check this when I get home.  That would really be a nice surprise!
I sync my iPod to iTunes on my Windows 7 box, but use iTunes on my Mac for synching my iPhone 6 and iPad 2.  Normally, I'd be modifying a playlist on the Win 7 box, adding or rearranging songs.  However, occasionally, I might download a song to the iPhone while out and about.  Then, when I'm back at the Mac, I'd do a sync and add that new song to one of the playlists.  Should Match then be keeping the playlists on the two machines in sync?
As for the library replication, I had to do that when I first signed up for Match.  I was WAY over the 25k song limit, so I made a copy of the library, and in that copy deleted enough songs to get me under the limit.  Also discovered scripting and did some really neat things with that tool.  Still have the option when I start iTunes to use the old library, just in case there's something there I need to copy to the smaller lib.

  • HT204053 Naive question I know but here goes. One apple ID, multiple apple IOS devices (touch/pad/phone). Books purchased via Kindle sync to ALL devices via iCloud. How can I stop this? I want to separate each of the family's reading prefernces from the d

    Naive question but here goes.
As a family we have one Apple ID. All devices are synced via my PC and backed up to it rather than to iCloud.
Books purchased via Kindle App appear on all the devices within the "cloud" option. How do I separate each reader's prefernce to their own device? I want to make sure that the younger one's dont have access to anything unsuitable.
    Thanks.

You can have one AppleID for your purchases so that all teh devices can use all the apps without having to buy them again, and at the same time, have different iCloud accounts for each user so that their content is not intermingled with everyone else's.  You can even go so far as to have your iCloud Account enabled for "Find my iPhone" for each of the other devices allowing you to keep track of where tehy are when they get misplaced.
If you need/want, you can share iCloud Calendars between different iCloud accounts as well.  This is exactly what my wife & I have done.  We share calendars so I know when she has classes or dog competitions, and she can see my work schedule so she knows what nights I have to be in late, etc.

  • How do keep my pictures on all All my devices.

I have IMac, Mac Pro, Ipad2, and Iphone.  All devices are on the lastes software. How do I keep the same pictures on all them?, I'm having problems with keeping the same pictures in all devices this is very frustrating. I'm afraid that Im going to lose some pictures.  Any advice out there?

    For Mac to Mac "syncing"...
What do you mean by "Sync".
The general term means when two Libraries (A and B) are compared and files in Library A are copied to Library B, while files in Library B are also copied to Library A so that both Libraries are identical.
This is bi-directional copying and you cannot do this automatically with iPhoto. No Syncing software is capable of parsing the iPhoto Library in this manner. One or both of your Libraries will be damaged if you try this.
You can have uni-directional copying - files in Library A are copied to Library B - this is essentially backing up. Obviously you can also copy from Library B to Library A.
The nearest you can get to syncing is to use iPhoto Library Manager to move files/Albums/Events plus associated metadata between Libraries. This process cannot be automated.

  • How to sync over all devices

All my devices were synced for the longest time. Yesterday I upgraded my internet services so the iMac was out of commission for about 6 hours. Now I only receive iMessages on my iPhone and iPad. I can send from my iMac, just not receive though. I've forgotten how to sync everything so they receive the same iMessages. How do I get the iMac to be the same as the others? Thanks ahead of time.

The iMessage system is not guarenteed to send the messages to all devices.  It seems to prioritise the mobile devices, and it won't always get to all your devices.
