How to keep songs in order of album/artist help pls

Hiya,
Firstly is there a quicker way of putting an album on my shuffle other that clicking every song and adding it please? Also I have two albums on at the moment but they are all mixed up, how do i put them in order of album etc
Thanks, Michelle. x

You can select multiple songs at the same time. If they are all in a row (one after the other), click the first one to select it, press and hold the Shift key, then click the last one. Drag and drop the entire selection to the iPod shuffle under DEVICES.
You should also be able to select songs not in a row by pressing and holding the Option and Command keys, then clicking on the songs you want to select. Once selected, drag and drop any select songs and they should all follow.
Also (the most convenient way to fill the shuffle), you can use the Autofill feature at the bottom of the iPod's Contents tab in iTunes. First, make a new playlist and call it "shuffle songs" or whatever you want to call it. Put all the songs you want on the shuffle into that playlist. Now go to the Autofill controls and select to +Autofill from+ the playlist you just created and populated. Then, click on the "Autofill" button. The shuffle will sync with the playlist all in one shot, instead of having to do it manually a bit at a time.
To answer your second question, you can drag the songs in the iPod's Contents tab to reorder them. The sequential order of the songs in the shuffle is as shown when you click at the top of the leftmost column (the one with the numbers). With this column selected (the header should be highlighted), you can drag the songs to be in the order you want.

  • How to keep songs from the same album together in the Walkman app?

How do I keep songs from the same album together in one album instead of it being spilt up into three different albums? Is there any way to keep this from happening? I have all of the correct album information, but it still happens. I thought I would use Media Go and see if it helps but it never works properly.
Any suggestions would be much appreicated.

Make sure your Album information in mp3 tags is all the same in all tracks belonging to the same album.
Clear the cache memory of Storage Media service
    https://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/WALKMAN/Multiple-Song-and-playlist-appear/m-p/732329?sl=y&sso_no_log=...
If, despite having the same album information in mp3 tags and clearing cache memory, you still get multiple entries or songs belonging to the same album are split into 2-3 albums, then I suggest an easy way.
Use Winamp and create an *.m3u playlist in the same directory you have the mp3 files stored in your phone. This playlist will then appear in Playlists - My Playlists and you will be able to enjoy your music in correct order of tracks and all the tracks will be there.
That is my method (using m3u Winamp playlists) simply because Walkman app does not respect the Track Number tag in mp3 files belonging to the same album and rather sorts the tracks within the same album based on Date Created.

  • For iTunes Match, how come some songs "match" on an album and other songs on the same album "upload" without matching?

For iTunes Match, how come some songs "match" on an album and other songs on the same album "upload" without matching?  All songs are available on iTunes.  I don't get it!  Any way to manually match songs that iTunes apparently can't match?  I have hundreds in this unmatched state.

Shazam has NO problem determining what these songs are. Maybe Apple needs to consider licensing their technology as it seems MUCH more accurate than what they are doing.
You aren't comparing like with like.
The main task that Shazam has is to identify the name or a track and the artist. I believe that it suggests the album as well, but if it gets that wrong then it doesn't really matter too much.
With iTunes Match, getting the album (i.e. identifying which version it is) is much more important. If it gets that wrong then it breaks up the flow of an album. This makes the task that match has very much harder.
In fact, there is a strong argument to say that currently the problem iTunes has is that it is matching too many songs, resulting in matches from different albums.
I'm sure that match is not struggling to identify whether it has a song or not, but whether it has the correct version of a song. When you introduce different masterings into the process then, depending on the thresholds set, it is probably correct in concluding that it hasn't got a particular version, even if you think it has.
The solution would appear to me to be a tweaking of the matching thresholds along with the ability to force an upload, but we just don't know what restrictions they have (remember that if Shazam gets it wrong the it doesn't present you with a copy of a new track that you didn't have previously). It is almost certainly not just a case of improving their technology.

  • How to keep songs on iphone, work computer and home computer the same?

How to keep songs on iphone, work computer and home computer the same?
This seems like something everyone would want to do. I don't know why Apple won't give us a simple solution. They could even charge us for it. I would pay!
Has anyone solved this? What is your solution?
    Thanks!

If you just want to be able to sync your devices to the same PC without having them get overwritten all the times, here is a free method
    http://cnettv.cnet.com/sync-your-ipod-two-computers/9742-1_53-50004835.html
Basically, you put the same itunes database file on all the PCs. This fakes itunes into thinking it is always the same PC and the ipod is OK to sync with it. It will NOT keep your libraries truly synced, though. I've just resigned myself to always buying from one PC and manually transferring the content to other PCs I want it on.

How i regroup song to make a album compilation on itunes 12,

    Hi there neoart,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
Take a look at the iTunes Help webpage below, it provides more information about grouping compilations and editing CD information, which should help you change the way compilations are displayed in the new version of iTunes.
    CD info - iTunes Help
    Compilation CD
For an album with songs by multiple artists, such as a movie soundtrack. To group such albums together (rather than list each song with its particular artist), choose iTunes > Preferences, click Advanced, and select “Group compilations when browsing.”

  • How to keep the WBS & Order in account assignment tab of SD contract item?

    Hi Experts,
If I remove the plant from the shipping tab in the contract item (the contract type is WV), I will be able to enter the WBS or Order in accounting assignment tab. However, if I enter the plant (in order to determine the tax in pricing), the WBS and Order are disappered and there is one new settlement rule button showed up.
Do you know any configuration could keep the WBS and order in the accounting assigment tab even the plant is there.
    Thanks in advance!
    Norman

    Hi Chandra,
Thanks for your answer. However, I even added the plant in the WBS, the tax (we use tax jurisdiction) still could not be determined.
The problem is that SAP changes the account assignment tab screen (it suppresses the WBS and Order fields, but addes settlement rule) with the plant in the shipping tab. Do you know how to keep the same account assignment tab screen with the plant in the shipping tab?
    Thanks,
    Norman

  • How to keep DLV status orders cost not to settle

How to keep the dollars associated with production orders at DLV status in WIP and not let them settle to the P&L like orders at TECO status do

settlement can happen with DLV status and TECO is not a must for settlement.
Hence only wayout is not by diverting the settlement to somoe other GL a/c if TECO is not done and diverting the setelemt to P and L if TECO is done. It is deficult to reconcile
Other simple way is change the business proccess, Run the settlement if the order is TECO. How to check that TECO is done or not?
Chekc the orders in COOIS first and then go for settlement.
Or give a Z transaction where user will enter the order number and Z prog will check the status first, then take him to settlement screen, if not it will retun with message- make the status TECO. If you want i can help you if you are planning to go for developement.

  • Keeping songs in the same album together

Because I am traveling for a while, I moved my iTunes library from my iMac to my MacBook Pro. Now, when I open it up, I find that a number of albums have their songs scattered over several different albums, all of the same nsme (even though the library on the iMac displayed songs in the same album together. When I do a get info on the songs (from the same album that appear in different albums), the information appears to be identical, but I am unable to figure out a way to get the songs together in the same album.
For what it is worth, I copied the iTunes folder from the iMac to the MacBook Pro, and dragged it over to an open iTunes window. I also lost quite a few pieces of album art in the process.

Look at Steve MacGuire's helpful article for your solution:  http://samsoft.org.uk/iTunes/grouping.asp

  • My songs are listed as albums, artists, etc.

I got the new 30gig i-pod video today. I bought an album from i-tunes and loaded it on my new i-pod. The problem is that it listed all of the songs in every catagory on the i-pod. So when I go into the albums folder it shows all of the songs in the album instead of the name of the album. It also lists all of the songs as artists as well. Oh and another issue is it's listing the songs alphabetically instead of my track listing! What do I do about this? Any suggestions?
    Thanks.
    -Mike

    Hello there, mtnseatime1.
The following Knowledge Base article provides information and tips that can help restore these albums' natural order.
Why aren't songs with the same album art grouped together?

  • Track Order Problem - Album Artist...

I'll just give an example of my problem and see if anyone can help me.
I have a few cd's with various artists, but I can't get the track listing in original order. The Album Artist is listed as 'Various Artists' and all of the track numbers are correct.
I realize I can fix the track order by pressing the Album tab, but I do not want my library sorted by album. I have my library sorted by Album Artist, but all of my albums with Various Artists still list the tracks in alphabetical order of the artist's name.
    Anyone have a solution?

Click in the Album column header and sort Album by Artist.
I'm not talking about the Album Artist column

  • How to arrange songs that iTunes separates by artist?

I recently purchased a CD from Schiller, which contains tracks by the artist but also collaborations (e.g. Schiller mit Kate Havenevik).
What is the easiest way for me to be able to play the disc in the order created?
itunes has created a Schiller entry with tracks 1, 3, 7, 9, 11, 12 and 14.  The other tracks (e.g.) are separated into different Artists.
    Thank you!
    Fred

Make sure all the Album artists are Schiller with Friends even if it is Just Schiller. If you apply this at the Album level all the tracks beneath it should inherit the values. But play around with these values until it looks like you want.
    For the second part
Find out which folder iTunes is using by going to Preferences, Advanced
This will give you the folder. Make sure the two checkboxes underneath are ticked.
I suspect the iTubes is using the second folder. So now open finder and navigate to the iTunes folder. Drag the music files out of there into iTunes. It will import them and copy them to the folder it is using. When you have confirmed everything has copied over you can ditch the music files from the itunes folder

  • How to keep photos in order i have them on Iphoto album when I burn a CD?

How can I keep my photos in the order I have them on IPHOTO in albums when I burn them to a CD.
They do not stay in order, but scatter all over the CD.   I number them starting at 1 using no 0 nor double
numbers.  When I need a double number I use a letter,  like 9f.
How can I keep the people's names under the photos when I burn a CD?

Files on disk have no order - the order is supplied by the viewing program (like the finder) - for example using the finder you can view the same set of files in alpha order, by size, by date created, etc, etc - so all you can do is give the files an atribute that the viewing program can use and tell the viewer what view options to use - you have no control over it
The most common way to do this is to export photos using the sequential file name option (see the user tip on exporting fro details on the available options) and then have the viewer view in alpha sort

  • Keeping songs in the original album order?

I tried to play a few "Album"s on my iPod mini, but the songs don't stay in the order they are in on the CD. I wouldn't care so much but some of them are Broadway Soundtracks and I don't like hearing them out of order nessisarily. I tried changing their order in my main iPod playlist that gets updated, and I even tried typing numbers in front of the song names. It seems they show up in the order they are in my iTunes library- but there's no way to change the order, and I'm confused as to why those are in the wrong order anyway.

    Molly,
In iTunes, select an album that's causing you a problem and look at the track numbers. Are they jumbled up there also?
If so, click on the header bar where it says "track #" until the little back arrow points up.
Are the tracks now in order? If so resync this to your iPod.
    If not post back.

  • How can I change the order of albums on iphone music app?

Recently went through two iTunes updates that I feel are not in tune with how my music was sorted before. Prior to the first update (forgot how long ago it was and which version it was), under the music app on my iPhone 5S when you tapped on an artist the next page would display all albums under that artist separately. Meaning I was able to play one album at a time. After the update, now when you tap on an artist you get all the albums (with each song under each album) showing on one page all lumped together. I preferred playing each album separately, rather than having the following album play after the previous one. Well, I was able to get over that. That is until the most recent iOS update. Now the album orders reversed completely based on date of release. Whereas before the albums were listed in order based on release date, now the first album that shows up under each artist is sorted by the most current release. This is so ANNOYING; why do they keep changing things around? Is there any way to sort the order so that the albums are listed in order of when they were released?

When syncing folders the photos are ordered by capture date - the only way to alter the order (apart from using iPhoto or Aperture on a Mac) is to amend the photo's capture dates : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4221
