How to keep the highlight when the JTextComponent lose focus?

I wanted to do some basic copy/cut/paste on the JTextPane from the Menu. But when I selected the menu, the highlight disappeared. How do keep the highlight?
The only topic I found about this was here:

but it appeared intimidating and not exactly what I needed.

Most javax objects will accept things in <html> tags why don't you try setting them onto the JTextPane (never tried this btw but should be worth a try) using html and the transferring the same syntax to the output email

How to Keep Custom Brushes in the Brush Panel Flyout Menu?

So I have a set of brushes that I mostly commonly use. However, I still use other brushes on occasion. When I load those brushes, my custom brush set doesn't stay in the flyout menu and I have no choice but to find the brush file and reload it. Every time.
It's getting to be a pain in the butt, so I'm wondering if there is a way to permanently keep your custom brush set in the flyout menu of the brush panel I've attached a screen shot in case what I wanted wasn't quite clear! I want my custom brushes to go where the green area is point.
Also I'm running a Japanese version of PS, but I'm pretty sure almost all the menu places remain the same. I translated some of the menu (although it might not be the exact same as the US CS6, but if you give me instructions, I'm pretty sure I can figure it out!)

Looks like you using mac os x?
There are two places you can put your brush presets file:
1. /Macintosh HD /Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Presets/Brushes
2. /Users/User Name/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Presets/Brushes
The difference is that the ones in the cs6 application folder show in your red area and the ones in the library show up below the red area with a separator line

Sounds like you copied an icon from the icon spot in a Get Info window for an image file, then pasted that intoo the same spot in the Get Info window for your folder. As you found out, that won't work - unless the image file already has a custom icon, that is.
Visually, it's hard to tell if an image file has a custom icon, particularly if View Options for a folder (or the desktop) has been set to 'show icon preview' - the OS will use Preview to make an icon for that file 'on the fly', but it does not really exist as far as being a copyable icon.
For what you want to do, the solution is really very easy.
Do a Get Info on the image file whose icon you want to copy for your folder. In that Get Info window is a larger depiction of the image about halfway down - double-click that, and it should open in Preview.
Press Command-A (that's Select All in the Edit menu).
Press Command-C (that's Copy in the Edit menu).
Close Preview, close the Get Info window for the image file.
Open the Get Info window for your folder.
Select the icon in the upper left by clicking it once - a blue border should appear around it.
Press Command-V (that's Paste in the Edit menu).
Close the Get Info window, and you're done.
Comment - that's a nice way to make unique folder icons, but there is one drawback: how to distinguish visually between a folder with such an icon and an image file.
One way, old school, is to append the character ƒ to the end of the name you give the folder. That character is easily generated by pressing Option-F and can be a visual indicator that the item is actually a folder and not an image.

You can backup the bookmarks on the old computer and create a JSON or HTML backup and restore or import this file in the Bookmarks Manager (Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks).
You can use an USB stick to transfer the saved bookmarks file to the new computer.<br />

Sorry, in my app I have an ArrayCollection of items from a news feed that the user has deemed important, and given each item a rating. The For loop will loop through the "newsDB" array and set the var accordingly (positive, negative, neutral). The variables are what is populating the arrayCollection (ratingAC). How would I either a) bind the variables to the ArrayCollection so that it updates when one has changed, or b) update the specific index in the array collection. When debugging, i notice that the variables are updating, but the arrayCollection is not.

Because it was not possible to apply a gradient to a stroke in CS5. When you open the file in CS5, it is reduced to something that can be rendered in CS5.

I think you need to rephrase your question and be more specific. Also for me the images you are referring to do not exist. From your question I am interpreting it as "how do I program?"
