How to keep vertically arranged fields to print on the same page?

Hello,
my report contains fields that are vertically arranged. I want the report to print all the fields on the same page and  not if the page is too small at the end that the half of the fields are printed on one page and the rest on the next page. But there should be more than one data sets on one page (it is no solution to generally make a page break before the fields - it only concerns the end of a page).
Is there a printing mechanism to anchor fields together?
Thanks in advance for your help.
kind regards
Monika Anna

1. Are these vertically arranged fields within the same group?  If so, you can try right click on the Group section, Select Change Group, and then Go to Option Tab and select Change Group together.
2. Otherwise, if you want to fit certain amount of rows into one page, then you can write your own running total and Set New Page when that running total reach eg: 20 rows.

  • HP Laserjet P3015 double sided - the last odd page prints on the same page when printing two copies

    HP Laserjet P3015 double sided printing is set up on Windows 7.  When printing two copies of a document, if it has odd number of pages, the last page is printed on both sides of the page. There is no page feed for the last page.
    Suppose say there are 3 pages in a document and you want to print two copies. It prints like 1/2, 1/2 and 3/3.  The third page (odd number) print on the same page. The last page page does not print on two pages.
    It works alright on Windows XP.

    Hope that you have configured the correct paper type and size in the printer hardware and also selecting the same paper tray, size, type from the printer driver while printing.
    It may be caused due to the job formatting done by the application software or some jobs settings done from the job/application or printer driver.  Check by toggling the 'collate' option and also try to print from a different application software.

    I'm trying to activate my itunes gift card but it keeps saying invalid code. When I follow the iTunes support it keeps taking me round in circles to the same page. What do I do?

    I imagine a ton of people are attempting to activate after the update, and the server is getting overloaded. Simple patience, maybe keep trying, and if possible, try a little later. Think of it as all those people lining up at Apple Stores + about a million more.

  • How to make fields grow dynamically within the same page and in column wise

    Hi,
    Like the newspaper format: Where contents of news are shown columns wise.
    We need to make the fields in a page grow column wise within that same page.
    For example, in a page:
    Column 1 Column 2
    ASDASDASDGKASHDGKAA | ASDFASGFHSJFAJKSD
    ASDFASDFASDJFASGJKDFHA | ASDFASDASDFASDFASD
    AFSDFASDFASDHGFKASDFASD | ASDFASDFASDFASDFASDFA
    ASDFSDGFJASHDGFJKASHDGKFAS |
    ASDFAGASDHFKASHDGFHASDJKFHASJKHF |
    ASDFHASGDKFASDJGHFASDFJKSDGFJKAGSDJ |
    If the Column 1 is full with the fields in the page it should start filling the column 2 which is also in the same page.
    If the Column 2 is also full then only it should move to the next page and should continue the same scenario.
    Please suggest a better way to do this in the Adobe Output Designer.
    Thanks and regards,

    Hi Gurunath, if you steel need a solution on this problem, I think this could help:
    1- place two fields on the form (JF01, JF02), one under each other.
    2- Make two subform with them (Sline1, Sline2)
    3- Make the field JF02 expand on same subform.
    4- Modify the preamble in this way:
    ^define group:D_line1 \field$POSITION\reserve"0.333",in\subformSline1.\positionsave,"first_line"
    ^define group:JF01!OnOverflow \groupG_Sline2.\fieldJF02.
    ^define group:G_Sline2!OnBOF \positionrestore,"first_line"\positionright,"3.65",in
    In the data file put all the text in JF01.
    -The first line say:
    When JF01 is called, save it's y position (\positionsave,"first_line")
    -The second line means:
    when the text overflow JF01 put it in JF02.
    (cause JF02 overflow on itself all the remaining data is overflowed in JF02)
    -The third line means:
    if JF02 arrives at the end of the page (OnBOF), restore the saved position ( \positionrestore,"first_line") and move to the right of "3,65" inches (\positionright,"3.65",in).
    In other words, when JF02 arrive at the and of the age, the next field JF02 is positioned at the same height of JF01 and is shifted on the right
    Take care that in this way JF02 cannot anymore go o a new page.
    Hope this help.

  • Multiple marketing labels printed on the same page

    Hi Experts,
    we are using marketing campaigns in order to get a label for each business partner that to target group. For printing the label we are using a form which we assign to the campaign at execution start time.
    The problem is that we get a page for each business partner with its label printed, but what we want is 24 labels be printed on the first page, corresponding to the first 24 business partners of the target group, and so on with the rest of pages and business partners.
    Does somebody know how to achieve it? Any suggestion?
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Rosa

    Hi Rosa,
    I also have same requirement.
    I know its old post.. still Did you get solution for it?

  • How can I put report parameters and report on the same page?

    I want to have a page that has user input (text fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, etc.) at the top of the page, with a submit button. When the user submits the page, I want the resulting report (returned from a query) to display below the input area.
    With ASP or JSP I would write a page with a FORM at the top, with the ACTION submitting to the same page. If the ASP/JSP detects it was submitted (by looking at the request URL or form parameters), it queries the database and displays the report; otherwise it doesn't query the DB or show any report.
    How would I do this with with portlets?
    Thanks!

  • Printer printing to the same page - no break or fresh page

    When we are submitting more than one request to our printer (simultaneously), it prints the second job not starting from a fresh or new page, however it continues to print continuously on the same page on which it had printed the previous job output.
    Please advise.
    Manpreet

    Hi Manpreet,
    Not sure what you mean by "simultaneously" or what format you are printing, perhaps you need to put a page feed "control-L" in between requests?
    Alternatively, if you mean concurrent requests one after the other, sounds like the printer driver you are using is missing the reset string.
    System Administrator, Install, Printer, Register
    Query the printer you are printing to, note the type.
    Click on the Printer Types button
    Query the Type you noted.
    Find and note the driver for the style you are printing.
    Click the Driver Button
    Query the Driver you noted.
    Make sure the Reset field is present with value like '/eE'

  • How do I get my library to show in the same page as playlists

    In the older version of iTunes the library was visible in the Playlists "list", so when I had an item I wanted in a particular playlist, all I had to do was drag it there. I got a dialog box if it was already there. Now, in V11 (which is ugly, slow, clunky, hard to use and generally awful BTW - another post-Steve screw-up) the library nolonger shows up in Playlists, so I have to right click on the song in the library, then select "Add to Playlist", then manually scroll down through the playlists to the one I want, as the mouse wheel is disabled, then highlight the playlist I want. I can't do a multiple select, and the dialog box forgets where I was so it doesn't default back to the same playlist if I'm doing multiple transfers. ***.

    system preferences - print and scan - you'll see your printer on the left side - click it and drag it to your dock.

  • How may I assure b/w copy prints at the same-size as my original artwork?

    For example, the dimensions of my b/w original artwork are 5 x 8 inches.  However, the printed (HP Deskjet 6520)
    copy measures appx. 5 1/8 x 8 1/8 inches!  I'm unsure why this is happening.  What adjustments may I make, and
    where may I make them so that my 5 x 8" original art will be 5 x 8" on the printed copy?
    Many thanks for your suggestions/directions.
    Curious,
    George

    I have found laser printers, such as the one you are printing on, do distort the print out a small amount usually about .016" or less. Being the nature of toner on paper and a fuser heating both. But for a 5" X 8" image this seems a bit much (as you report .125"). If your Options are set to Do Not Scale and Media Defined By Driver, in the print dialog it should be printing to scale, 100%. Unless you are Ignoring Art Board and using Marks and Bleed to add Trim Marks. This will take the extremities of the artwork and add trim marks to it, which may be the reason you're .125" over.
    What is your Bleed set to? Is your document set to Use Document Bleed Settings?
    If you have Scale to Page selected with a 8" image, your piece will be enlarged to fit to the page printed to. And if you have an 8" wide (although you put 5" first so I should assume this is the width) and have scale to page selected your image should grow to fill the width of 8.5" sheet, less the printers unprintable margin.

  • How do you get 2 different link colors on the same page in DW CS4

    Hi
    After creating a white link called “white link test” in a blue background, I need to create a blue link called “blue link test” in a white background. How do I accomplish this task In DW CS4? I would greatly appreciate any feedback. Thank you
    <style type="text/css">
    <!--
    #apDiv1 {
                    position:absolute;
                    width:117px;
                    height:47px;
                    z-index:1;
                    background-color: #0000FF;
                    left: 6px;
                    top: 103px;
    a:link {
                    color: #FFF;
    -->
    </style>
    </head>
    <body>
    <div id="apDiv1"><a href="file:///C|/wamp/www/laserzone/public_html/add_maintenance.php">white link test</a></div>
    <p> </p>
    <p>blue link test</p>
    </body>
    </html>

    Nothing has changed. A stylesheet is still a stylesheet.  And pseudo-classes are still pseudo-classes.
    You need to define a set of link states (link, visted, hover, active) for each ID or class name required.
    Let's say you want to have red  links in your #header and white links in your #footer.
    CSS:
    #header  a {text-decoration:none}
    #header a:link {color:red} /**unvisited**/
    #header a:visited  {color:gray} /**visited**/
    #header a:hover, /**on mouse over**/
    #header a:active, /**on  click**/
    #header a:focus {text-decoration:underline}
    #footer a  {text-decoration:none}
    #footer a:link {color:white}
    #footer a:visited  {color:yellow}
    #footer a:hover,
    #footer a:active,
    #footer a:focus  {text-decoration:underline}
    HTML:
    <div id="header">
    <a  href="some-link.html">Link in the header</a> |
    <a  href="some-link.html">Link in the header</a> |
    <a  href="some-link.html">Link in the header</a> |
    </div>
    <div  id="footer">
    <a href="some-link.html">Footer  link</a> |
    <a href="some-link.html">Footer  link</a> |
    <a href="some-link.html">Footer  link</a> |

  • How to open a link from search engine in the same page

    I just noticed that my links are opening in new windows instead of on the same page on Safari. Is there anyway I can change it back to where if I click on a link in the Yahoo search engine that it would just open within the same page without opening a new tab or window, where I can go back and forth between pages? For example, say I type in "wikipedia" on Yahoo home page and click search. Then it takes me to the Yahoo! Search Results page with a link to the Wikipedia website. When I click on that link, the Wikipedia home page loads right within the same page instead of opening a new tab or window and loading into that new tab or window. If I wanted to go back to the search results, I can just click the back button. I remember Safari doing that before, is there anyway to get back to that? Thanks.

    You can set the Integer pref <b>browser.link.open_newwindow.override.external</b> to "<i>1</i>" on the <b>about:config</b> page.
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/about:config
    The browser.link.open_newwindow.override.external pref uses the same values as this pref for JavaScript window.open() calls.

  • How to update a report  from a form on the same page when form item changes

    I have a portal form from a table and a portal SQL report with a bind variable on a page. I want the report to get updated with details based upon what was selected from a form item. The form item is a selection from a dynamic LOV. Whenever the form item gets changed, the report should get updated to reflect the change. Can this be done using a javascript ONCHANGE event?
    Oracle Portal Version is 10.1.2.2.0.

    Your applet can open an URLConnection and read directly a document from your webserver.
    public String readText() {
      java.net.HttpURLConnection conn = (java.net.HttpURLConnection)myURL.openConnection(); ...
    }So using JavaScript on your page, you might call readText() to fill that textarea.
    The interesting link you gave, handled the JavaScript/Applet interaction. Test that with just return "Hello";.
    The real programming is more interesting.
