How to know a particular Delivery Type "Normal" or "Return "

Hi,
Can anyone please let me know:-
1) How can we distinguish between "<b>NORMAL</b>" Delivery and a "<b>RETURN</b>" Delivery?
2) How can we distinguish Materials inside a Delivery:-
              a) Empties.( packaging materials ) ?
              b) Not Delivered. ?
              c) Extra Delivered. ?
Regards...
Avi..............

Hi Avi,
1. Distinguish between normal & Return
For this the naming convention for Delivery type is different
Normal Delivery - LF
Returns - LR
2. Distinguish materials inside a delivery- you need to be more eloborate on this question
every material is having different no and hence we know what materials are their in a particular delivery
3. Packaging materials:
These are defined seperately and the Material Type is VERP. IN config we can decide whether a particular delivery item needs to be packed or not. this can be done using delivery item category (packing Control) and Delivery Type (automatic packing)
4. Not delivered - This can be seen in Sales order document flow - Go to Va02 and F5
5. Extra delivered:
This can again be controlled in customer Master - SHipping Tab - Under delivery tolerance/ Over delivery tolerance. Also in delievry item category (Chcek Min Delivery Qty/ Check over delivery.
Reward points of it helps

    Hi,
    1) I believe for return delivery LIKP-VBTYP = 'T' and for normal delivery LIKP-VBTYP = 'J'

  • How to set a default Billing type for a particular Delivery type

    Dear All,
How to set a default billing type for a particular delivery type.
My requirement is, we are creating delivery for a Stock Transport Order. Delivery type is NL and the Purchase order type is UB.
When we are creating Billing, it should take Billing type "ZSTO" by default, which is the customised Billing type.
Where we have to do this setting?
In case of normal sales order, this control will be available in the Sales order document types.
In case STO, how to set a default billing type for a delivery type (NL).
    Regards,
    Rajesh

There is a customization available here no default or hard coded
Normally in a sales doc type we mention which billing type system has to pick
If the billing happens from a PO which billing type system will take depends on the controls set in the areas mentioned below
Go to your delivery type OVLK (say your delivery type is NL)
In that there is a field called default order qty in the order reference tab (say if you maintained DL there)
This DL is called PSEUDO order type
Then in VOV8 for DL based on the billing types mentioned ,system will take the billing doc
For delivery related billing say if you mention say ZF8 in the details of DL in VOV8(provided you have created ZF8)
Then while you bill the delivery doc of NL system will take ZF8
For intercompany delivery you can create ZIV billing type also Pure customization
PO is linked to delivery type ( MM spro settings)--Del type linked to order (pseudo) type---in order type (pseudo) we mention the billing types. Here the flow is bit different that pure SD flow
Though the invoice is crated by manually putting customized Biiling Type and A/Cing doc also generated, but in the VF04 still system shows the same deliveries pending with Billing Type (F2).
This manual is not reqd if the said assignments are done properly
    Hope it can assist you.
    Thanks & Regards

  • How to know whether the Content Type at Library level is Inheriting Parent Content type or not Using Powershell?

    Hi,
How to know whether the Content Type at Library level is Inheriting Parent Content type or not using Powershell?
Is there any property for that? Or Do I need to compare the Content type Id's at Site collection level and Library level?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    AA.

    Hi Ashok,
For a content type, there is an attribute called Inherits, the value of this attribute determines whether the content type inherits fields from its parent content type when it is created.
If Inherits is TRUE, the child content type inherits all fields that are in the parent, including fields that users have added.
If Inherits is FALSE or absent and the parent content type is a built-in type, the child content type inherits only the fields that were in the parent content type when SharePoint Foundation was
installed. The child content type does not have any fields that users have added to the parent content type.

  • How to know  pro-grammatically variable type(string ,numeric ....) of TestStand variable using CVI

    Hi,
how to know  pro-grammatically  variable type(string ,numeric ....)  of TestStand  variable using Labwindows CVI.
    Thanks
    Mukesh Kumar

    Mukesh,
You could use the TS_PropertyGetType() function in CVI to do this. Here is a reference page for the GetType function--you can see that it returns a PropertyValueType which will indicate which type the PropertyObject (variable) is. In CVI, you'll find this function in the NI TestStand API 2013 instrument methods, under PropertyObject > Static Properties.
Hope it helps, and let us know if you have any more questions about it!

  • How to create a Inbound delivery type for a special  purchase order type

    Hi,
I try to create a special Inbound delivery type for a special purchase order type (a transfer purchase order).
In SD module, I can créate a special outbound delivery and precise the sale order type, but I don't manage to do it for a Inbound delivery type.
Do you know if i can do it without specifiq?
    Regards,
    Roselyne

    Hi Roselyne,
What you experienced is standard system behavior. Inbound delivery type is uniquely assigned to confirmation control key. You can only specify confirmation control key on item level in PO. The assignment of Delivery type can be seen in the following table:
    T163D
    IBTYP EBTYP LFART  RETDLV
    1        AB                      X
    2        LA        EL           X
    3        GW       EG
The field T163D-IBTYP is checked in different programms. For example in programm RM06ENAB (TA: ME92F). If you insist to customize the determination of delivery type by PO type, I strongly suggest you discuss with the Application consultants before making the modifications to ensure it won't impact other areas.

  • How to know or check the type of a field when processing a dynamic table?

    Dear all,
When processing a dynamic table i have a short dump because of a convert_of_type incorrect, so i would like to check the type of field-symbol <f> before moving the data (type char) to this field-symbol <f>.
Could you please help me how to check or get the type of field-symbol <f> (because field-symbol <f> is assigned dynamic, so this <f> can be type char, unit, or quantity, ...)?
The source code same as below:
ASSIGN COMPONENT lc_field OF STRUCTURE ls_data TO <f>.
MOVE lv_field TO <f>. (Dump is here when lv_field is char type and <f> is quantity type => could i check the type of <f> if it's char type before using this instruction "MOVE ..."?)
    Thanks a lot in advance,
    Vinh Vo

    Try to use this way
    WRITE lv_field TO <f>.
    Instead of
    MOVE lv_field TO <f>.

  • Automatic determination of Delivery type and Billing type in a sales order

    Hi,
I want to know that in a sales order cycle, how does automatic assignment of delivery type and billing type takes place after we create a sales order?
For example, when I create an outbound delivery for a sales order of type normal (OR) then in that case how does the system knows that it has to create an outbound delivery of type LF.How does the system propses it automatically and same is the case of billing document.

    Hi
In customising the sales document type (Tcode VOV8) -
specify the default Delivery type in the field DELIVERY TYPE in the 'Shipping' area of the sales document type customisation.
Similarly you can specify the billing type in the BILLING area for both Delivery related billing and Order related billing.
    Thanks,
    Ravi

  • Using Different inbound delivery type?

    Dear experts,
In the goods receipts process we currently are using the standard inbound delivery type "EL" with the standard item category ELN, which is not "Relevant for putaway".
We are assessing the possibility of start using WM in one of our plants. So, I found out that the we should be using a item category (in the inbound delivery) with the field "Relevant for putaway" flagged. Like, for example, the standard WIDN (maybe together with the standard inbound delivery type WID). But only at those plants with WM!
The issue is that as far as I know the inbound delivery type determination depends on the "Internal Confirmation Categories":
So for the type "2 Shipping Notification" only one delivery type can be chosen, how are we suppose to do it plant dependent?
It looks like a unique delivery type should be used in the client?
    Thanks in advanced,
    Fortian
P.S.: I already read SAP notes 214604 & 201655 but they are not being helpful so far... Maybe I'm missing something.

From your post I understand that the current plants are IM managed.
So for these plants the put away relevancy will not have any effect so if you enable the put away relevancy for the EL delivery type there will be no impact on the IM plants and for the WM plant the put away will be relevant.
Now the usage of the put away relevancy will also depend on which transaction you are using for posting a goods receipt. If you post via VL32N then you will first have to perform the put away step and then the GR posting. If you use the MIGO/MIGO_GR transaction then the goods receipt in WM will also be posted before the put away happens.

  • Delivery Type Assignment in CSN0

    Hello all,
I´m configuring SD in order to work with PS module.
Does anyone know how can I assign a delivery type in transaction CSN0? When I enter the transaction, the system assigns the "LP" type as default and I want another one.
Useful ideas will be rewarded indeed.
    Thanks,
    Adriano Cardoso

Thanks a lot for your reply. Although, I´ve tried to find this configuration as per your advise, but I could not find it. Could you be more specific about this config?
    Thanks again.

  • Delivery type determination in case of returns to vendor without return PO

    Hello Gurus,
When we create Return PO, and when we want to created delivery for this PO , we assign delivery type RL to the PO in SPRO.
Now when I return the material thorugh MIGO (without return PO) with delivery check box active, system determines different delivery type than RL. My question is that where do we assign this delivery type and how the system determines this delivery type in case of returns to vendor without return PO.
    Thanks
    Pravin

Control parameters at movement type level determine the delivery type created. I guess you are using MvT 161. Try configuring delivery category for MvT 161 in OMJJ.
    Hope this helps.

  • Create Delivery Type

    Hi Gurus
How to create/customize new delivery types.
    Which Tcode/menu path
    regards
    RG

    Hello,
You should first check the delivery types and item categories that are contained in the standard SAP R/3 System.
Go to SPRO>>Logistics Execution>>Shipping>>Deliveries>>Define Delivery Types Transaction code OVLK.
Here you can copy existing delivery type or create new entries.
Then you can create item categories (Trsnsaction OVLP) and also assignment of item categories to your respective delivery types (Transaction code 0184)
