How to know Apple Id associated with that perticular device (Macbook Pro)?

Hi experts there...!
How to know Apple Id associated with that perticular device (Macbook Pro)?
How to change the Apple Id associated with the particular device?
Okay now the scene is that one of my friend gave me macbook pro as a gift, now we both dont know how to change the associated Apple Id with this Macbook pro. He has his apple id and password which works perfectly with this macbook. But we want to change associated apple id with this macbook. After changing the apple id will it be possible to update mountain lion or to reinstall online completly? Does this process completely disconect from previous apple id and connect with new apple id?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities
If your friend's Mac didn't come with DVDs, he has to call Apple in order to deauthorize his Apple ID from the Mac > http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
After that, you will be able to register the MacBook Pro with your Apple ID, and you will be able to install OS X, iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand for free. After doing that, you can erase the hard drive and reinstall OS X, so everything from his Apple ID will be removed

  • How do you change the Apple ID associated with an iOS device?

So…I made the mistake of putting the wrong Apple ID (I have three – don't ask) on my iOS devices. If I try to change the Apple ID on my Mac, it wants to erase everything that I have on my Mac that is also stored on the iCloud. That is not a good solution. So, I want to change the Apple ID associated with my iOS devices (far less to lose there). The problem is that niether of my iOS devices will let me change the Apple ID associated with them – at least not that I can find.
Does anyone know how to do that so I can get my Mac on the same page with my iPhone/iPad?
    Thanks.

This is the kind of question where it helps to know what you are trying to achieve since the way you phrased the question has several interpretations.  CarolynSamit gave you one, here's another two:
Apple ID Support - http://www.apple.com/support/appleid/  -> Apple ID FAQ http://support.apple.com/kb/HE37
"How do I change my Apple ID Name or personal information?
You can change your Apple ID Name at My Apple ID. Select your country and language, enter your desired changes, then click the Continue button. Changes take effect immediately. You can also use My Apple ID to change your personal information, such as your mailing address or email address. See How to change the name you use for your Apple ID if you'd like more information."

Another answer is you cannot.  Items purchased with one AppleID cannot be transferred to a different account.

  • I have been blocked from my own ITunes songs because my apple ID associated with too many devices

I cannot access songs from my own iTunes Apple ID because it says my iPhone has been associated with too many devices.  I have to wait 90 days to access my own songs on my iPhone.  Here is what happend:
1-Our family moved.  So, with the address change, the credit cards on all of the apple ID's would no longer work because the other users had our old address. (I have 4 users in the family).
2-My family started calling me while I was out of town complaining that purchases were rejected.  This was because our address had changed and it no longer matched.
3-I tried to walk them thru the process of changing the home address on the credit card, but they couldn't do it.  They assured me that they were doing it correctly and were still rejected.
4-So, being the techie of the family, I simply logged into each of their iTunes accounts from my iPhone while I was out of town and made the address change.  While I was in their  accounts, I noticed they didn't have automatic downloads and iTunes match and stuff.  So, I changed it so it would work for them when they logged back in.
5-I go back to log into my own account on my iphone and I cannot access my own songs on the iTunes cloud for 90 days!!!!  This is quite disappointing.
How can I get this corrected?   I tried to reset user settings (not a erase and reset).  I figure it's not my phone, but my iTunes account thinks I'm doing something sharing-wise.
So, in summary, when I am on my iPhone and I go to my iTunes library and click on a song (that I have paid for) with the cloud and down arrow beside it, it's rejected.  It says that I have too many apple id's associated with this device and I must wait 90 days.  It counts down each day.
I just want access to the music I paid FOR!!

    Thank you-I will contact support.
No, I cannot wait 90 days.
Let me restate what I have to endure, even though I own the music and have paid for iTunes Match:
I cannot access my purchases-zero-at all
I have to listen to never ending McDonald's latte commercials and progressive insurance. I have now banned both of those annoying businesses and will not make purchases there.
In summary, I have given apple my minded, and have zero to show for it.
Ps-you get to hear the McDonald's "love hate commercial" every 2 songs on iTunes Radio.  I have substituted the words where I hate McDonald's and love when the commercial is over.

  • Gave my old iPad to my wife - how do I switch the Apple ID associated with that iPad from mine to my wife's?

I bought a new iPad and gave my old iPad to my wife. Every time she goes to buy an app or song it pops up with my Apple ID. We changed it to her Apple ID in the settings/iTunes & App Store. That made it so her ID came up when making purchases, but her iPad is still associated with my ID. For example, her iPad still shows up as one of my devices in the Find My iPhone app. Is there any way to change this other than resetting the iPad to factory, setting up under her ID and reinstalling everything?  Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Any issues with apple tv/airplay with a first generation MacBook pro (1,1)?

I think I'd like to get an apple tv, but fear my macbook pro is too dated. I saw some limitations with mirroring my iphone 4 (not 4s), so I wonder if there are other surprises in store.
    Thanks,
    D.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
If you want to use AirPlay Mirroring with your Mac, you won't be able because it's not compatible with your Mac > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5404
However, although Apple says you can't, you can mirror your computer onto the Apple TV using a third-party app as AirParrot > http://www.airparrot.com

  • The email account I used to purchase a number of songs inmy library is no longer active and I do not rember the apple ID associated with that email. How do I authorize songs I purchased on that account on my new computer?

Years ago I purchased a number of songs in my library using a corporate email address that is no longer valid and I do not remember the password. As I have no way to retrieve these songs and autyhorize them it because of the inactive account I cannot play the songs on my new computer without repurchasing them. Any suggestions?

Just authorize the computer and retreive them.
    Go here -> https://iforgot.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/DSiForgot.woa/wa/iforgot .
FYI: you should have simply updated the AppleID with new info and continued to use it instead of creating a new one.

  • How do I change my apple id associated with FaceTime?

Hi do I change the apple id associated with FaceTime on my MacBook?

Beset would be to go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings and then set up the iPod with with the new ID.
The Apple ID is used for:
    Settings>iTunes and App stores
    Settings>FaceTime
    Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
    Settings Game Center

  • How do I get my new Apple ID associated with an older MacBookPro so that I don't get charged more than once for a purchased app when I download it to the older computer recently upgraded to Snow Leopard?

I recently upgraded my 2 year old MacBookPro to Snow Leopard so I could download Face Time and Final Cut ProX to it.
I've already purchased the apps and installed on my iMAC and Macbook Air.
    After downloading Face Time I received the following mail;
"Your Apple ID, *************, was just used to purchase FaceTime from the App Store on a computer or device that had not previously been associated with that Apple ID.
If you made this purchase, you can disregard this email. This email was sent as a safeguard designed to protect you against unauthorised purchases.
If you did not make this purchase, we recommend that you go to iforgot.apple.com to change your password, then see Apple ID: Tips for protecting the security of your account for further assistance.
    Regards,
    Apple"
I don't want to be charged twice for these apps, especially Final Cut ProX, so how can I get the MacBookPro associated with the Apple ID I'm using now?
    Cheers

This is probably a new precaution that Apple has taken to alert folks that something has occurred with their account that has not occurred before*, namely a Mac has downloaded something from their account that has not done so before. And as the notice says, if it was you doing so, then you may safely ignore the notice. Also, do not be alarmed, Apple refers to all downloads as purchases, even when they are free.
But if you are truly concerned about the notice then you can authorize the Mac with your iTunes account, which should be the same as your MAS account. Open iTunes on the older Mac and sign into your account. Then in the Store menu choose Authorize This Computer. Now this Mac is definitely associated with your account and can now play media that you purchase from the iTunes Store as well.
*My banks do the same thing when I pop up making a purchase with my bank cards somewhere in the world I have never made a purchase before. They call me and email me and want to know if it is indeed me using the card.

  • I have some apps on my iPad that were installed using an old apple ID. They can't be updated because the old ID is no longer valid. How can I change the apple ID associated with these apps?

I installed some apps using an apple I'd that is no longer active. I can't update them because it asks for the password of the old I'd instead of the I'd I currently use. How can I change the apple I'd associated with these apps? I still want to use them. One app I paid for using the old I'd. The other app is free. I have already tried deleting them and reinstalling them.

If you simply just changed the email associated with that appleid you can just delete and Re-download the apps.
You can verify  the above step by going to the App Store on device > Updates>Purchased - if you see the app there just delete it from the home screen and redownload from the purchased section
Now if you got rid of that account entirely, you will have to delete and re-purchase on your new account

  • I just created an iCloud email and I want to use that email for my iTunes account as well. I need help suiting the old apple I'd because I do not remember anything associated with that email and I don't know the security questions

I just created an iCloud email and I want to use that email for my iTunes account as well. I need help switching the old apple ID because I do not remember anything associated with that email and I don't know the security questions or the login for that old email.

You cannot do that.  The AppleID you used to create the iCloud account is an active primary email address.  The email address you created with the iCloud account is also an active primary email address (all Apple domain email address automatically become AppleIDs as well).  You cannot replace the primary email address on one active AppleID with the primary email address on another, active AppleID.
You can use your iCloud email/AppleID with iTunes, but it will be a separate account, so all your previous purchases remain tied to the other AppleID you have.
I don't understand your statement that you could not remeber your old AppleID password, as you would have had to use it to create the iCloud account in the first place (the first step of creating the iCloud account required you to login with your existing AppleID and password)?

  • Hacked Message: Your Apple ID was just used to download Podcasts from the App Store on a computer or device that had not previously been associated with that Apple ID

So I just got a message from Apple saying
"Your Apple ID was just used to download Podcasts from the App Store on a computer or device that had not previously been associated with that Apple ID"
I am new to Apple products and signed up to the app store about an hour before but have not downloaded any apps yet.
I also turned on iCloud Drive.
Neither of these are Podcasts and I do not have any Podcasts on my device.
The message is a really poor warning, it could for instance list the IP address which would immediately tell me if it was me.
It could list what type of device it was.
It could list what Podcast was downloaded.
But no, just some random message, probably generated by the really bad default iPhone settings that put ease of use before security.
I have a long complex password that I do not want ot have to change just because Apple generates a stupid message.
On Google you have a log of all logins and devices, is there something similar with Apple, so I can figure this out?

    Kroll17 wrote:
I don't know, I thought it was pretty clear
"was just used to download Podcasts from the App Store"
it said it was used to download a Podcast from the App Store
I have not down downloaded any podcasts and there are no podcasts in the podcasts app, of course if Apple were to list the podcast that was downloaded, the IP address and the device it might help one dismiss the message.
I am running the latest v8.1.1 although how the version of my OS related to a message generated by Apple servers is beyond me, unless my device is not authenticating properly so Apple thinks I am someone else but then as I have not downloaded any Podcasts that would not seem to be the issue.
It does NOT say you downloaded a podcast. First, podcasts are not downloaded from the App Store; they are downloaded from the iTunes store.
It's very clear to me; the app named  "Podcasts" was downloaded, not a podcast. "Podcasts" is a app provided by Apple for managing and downloading podcasts.
