How to know if i have 32 or 64 bit?

I was wondering what command i could use in the terminal to figure out if i have a 32 bit or 64 bit OS? i am running Ubuntu 10.4 Lucid Linux. thanks :)

Sorry if i come off as a bit of a jacka55 about this, but back when i started in computers i would have killed to be able to easily search for information like you can now-a-days ...and so many people refuse to give it a good attempt (which i chalk up to laziness and nothing more). A bit of a pet peeve of mine.

Gigabit-how to know what you have?

How does one know what their cable is?
I remember that some of the cables I bought in the past were cat 5 or 6 but have no recollection of which was which and I threw out the packages.
If I set it for gigabye and only have cat 5 will it matter?
I am using a cable modem (in Japan) that is hooked to time capsule. Japanese web connections are super fast themselves--this is 30MB downstream and I used to have 100 with fiber optic. But as far as the cable I have no idea. Anyway to check?

I don't think there is a way to tell by looking at the wires themselves. Sometimes the cable jacket, the gray plastic sheath around the wire bundle, is printed with a label that says CAT 5e. I am not sure what you mean by wide band. Isn't gigabit all 1000Mbps and isn't Gigabit slang for 1000BASE-T? The following comes from Wikipedia.

How to know which clips have not been used

Hi,
I am a noob at this, but getting the hand of it. Here is my question: I started with about 20 video files(2h of footage). From all those files, I created about 60 "subclips" that have neatly been organized in a bin. Then I lined all 60 clips one by one. However, I accidently deleted one of those clips in the middle (and can't undo because it was a while ago) and I don't know which clip is was.
What I would to do is select the bin with the 60 subclips, and identify which one (maybe more than one actually) have NOT been inserted in my sequence. Is there a way to do so? Similar to Excel when you select a formula and it tells you which cells was dependants, could I select my sequence and it tells me which clips are "dependant"? Any other suggestions?

Thank you very much, this is EXACTLY what I wanted. For those reading this and that can't find the video usage column, you need to go to "metadata display" in the project menu/button (top right corner of the window) and select "Metadata display" and then add the "video usage" column.

In order to buy Adorage effects, I need to know if my Premiere Pro CS5.5 is 32 bits or 64 bits.
When I look at "About Adobe Premiere Pro" in the Help menu, the only reference I get is : "Version 5.5.2 (003 (MC: 258762)). That doesn't help me much

Every Mac has iSync on it. It's a standard application supplied with Mac OS X.
Look in your Applications folder for an icon like this labelled "iSync":

In JDK 1.4, a new addPopupMenuListener() was added to the JComboBox component. I found out I have to use JDK 1.3, but I already wrote a lot of code around this particular capability. I am trying to figure out how to duplicate it in JDK 1.3. I need to know BEFORE and AFTER the popup is displayed. OR, is there a way with JDK 1.3 that as soon as they click the combo box, it fires an event. The thing is, as soon as they click it, I want to change the background color. When they are done selecting, I can use an ActionListener or ItemListener to find out what was selected and change the color again. My killer is trying to figure out how to know when they have selected the box. I tried adding MouseListener, PropertyChangeListener, AncestorListener. None are doing a thing when the JComboBox is first selected.
Any help would be much appreciated.

The photos are still on your phone, and if enabled in your Photo Stream. They are not automatically transferred to your computer when syncing.

The names are for your benefit. The devices are identified by serial number in iTunes. iTunes knows which device is which no matter what you name the devices. It works the same way with iCloud. You can name all three devices Fred - and iTunes can tell them apart - but like I said, you want to give them different names for your benefit.

I don't want to know how to delete duplicate photos anymore. I would like to know why Apple have not put in delete duplicate option menu in iPhoto? Very curious. Is it to frustrate users, so they have to go out and buy another apple photo product?

You could have more 5 computers authorized if you ever, for example, reformatted a hard drive or replaced a hard drive without deauthorizing the computer first. As I said in the other thread that you posted in the other forum, your friend clearly has not restored the iPad correctly. I suggest that you undertake another restore and start again.

Welcome to the Apple community.
Given what you've have described, your friend cannot have restored the iPad correctly. You need to decide whether you are willing to delete his contacts manually, or carry out another restore. Personally I think I would go for the restore.
