How to know if there is a web threat on my computer.
Two days ago I was trying to view a page that I always see with no problem but I got a messages from Intego Virusbarrier saying that safari was attempting to download known malware that could control my computer. I didn't understand, it was a common designers website that I had always visited with no problem. The message had a counter with the option of proceeding or blocking. I blocked. I have both safari and chrome installed so I decided to check the site in chrome, again with the same window. I let it be, but the following morning as a tried one more time safari didn't show me the warning window, instead it took me to a blank page that wouldn't load. All of the programs froze and my mouse arrow started to move a little sporadically, nothing would work properly. I finally had to unplug my computer. after a while i plugged it back in and everything seemed to be working fine. I had virusBarrier scan my entire computer but it found nothing wrong. I checked my download folder and utilities and plugins and found nothing odd. all seemed fine, But this morning it started again. My computer wouldn't respond properly and I had to unplug it again. After I replugged all seemed to work fine, except safari, which wouldn't do anything. I disabled all plugins and it sort of worked but the problem is when I tried to reset safari, it makes safari stop working. Chrome seems to be fine. Virusbarrier, (which supposedly instigated the alleged malware warnings) still can't find anything wrong. But I have noticed that virusbarrier wont lock itself. every time i turn my computer off or put it to sleep it will unlock the ability to configure setting when it wakes.
I don't know if it is virusbarrier or safari or something else, but i believe that come tomorrow it will continue to happen. I've tried and checked every folder and still can't find anything that shouldn't be there. The main problem I have is that its my whole computer, not just safari that freezes and acts up. I use airport and have to manually connect to the Internet each time I log in, so I don't understand how each morning this seems to be happening, because I'm not connected to the Internet when the computer is off.
update: no, safari doesn't work at all anymore.

One sure fireway to invite problems on a Mac is to install a/v software.
Barry and rkaufmann87 are trying to give you excellent advice.
If it were me, I'd backup my important files then erase the drive and start over. Anti virus software on a Mac is invasive and hard to uninstall properly.
Since you are running v10.5, an Archive & Install won't do the job. You'll still have the previous System Folder on the drive. Clean install only.

I can't believe there's still no proper answers for this question . I'm now struggling with the same issue as the original asker. It seems that at least with the newest version of Nokia Drive you can delete the maps saved (without the need to remove the whole application). You can do that even one by one. But the question is: "If I delete a particular map and load it again, will that be the newest version of the map? Or is there still a need to delete the whole Nokia Drive application, as said in the instructions linked earlier in this thread?"
Anyway, even deleting one map and loading it again sounds very frustrating without knowing if there actually is a new update or not. We should know exactly which is the current version of each map and wheter there is a newer version.
Many things are gone worse after Symbian. On Symbian phones, you could easily update all the maps with Ovi Suite. Now, with Zune, you can update the firmware, but not the maps which was a disappointment to me. I don't have WiFi connection, so, for me, it would be cheaper to download huge amounts of data with my computer's wired connection (with my phone connected to it via USB). Don't want to waste my monthly data limit to download again possibly the same map versions just to be sure...
But please, moderators and others, give us some comments and answers...

There is one activity screen in the ic web(CRM 5.0). There is two button(Change, Save , Sendnotification) on that screen.
Sendnotification: if i click this button then it will check whether there is any change done using below logic and will send the noti..:
DATA:lv_transaction   TYPE REF TO if_bol_transaction_context,
lv_entity       TYPE REF TO cl_crm_bol_entity.
lv_transaction = lv_btorder->get_transaction( ).
      IF lv_transaction->check_save_needed( ) EQ 'X'.
         then save the changes and send notification
      ENDIF.
Question:
Now i clicked on the Change button and did some changes.Then saved.
Then again i did some changes, now i clicked on the Sendnotification button.It sent an notification.
Now i again clicked on the Sendnotification(this time i didnt do any changes), it sent the same notification again.
So how to know that actully changes done or not & how to write code if there is no changes?
During debugging , i found that the method check_save_needed always returns 'X' as long as i am in the chage mode of that activity. As a result if i dont do any changes also in the activity and click the button , it sends the notification.
please suggest how to restrict using coding........

Planning group is specified in the vendor master. The Planning groups are assigned to appropriate Planning levels. Planning levels are also assigned to MM and SD transactions like POs etc.
You can do the configuration in SPRO under:-
SPRO > Cash Management > Structuring > Groupings > Define Groupings and Maintain Headers > Maintain Structure
SPRO - FSCM - Cash and Liquidity Management - Cash Management - Master Data - Define Planning Groups.
SPRO - FSCM - Cash and Liquidity Management - Cash Management - Structuring - Define planning levels for Logistics
You can check the vendor master table LFB1 via transaction SE16 / SE16N to see which vendors are assigned to your specific planning group.

How to know when there will be something new.

I have a Powermac G4...and it's ok but kinda slow...not updated. In otherwords I would like a new computer (and an iPod). I'm thinking about a refurbished 20" imac intel core duo. But I don't want to get it and then realize something new just came out the next day. I know It's a method of sales, but it would be nice to know what's next like a new OS, prosessor, computer, ect. One other thing withthat is if there will be a new eMac. That would be tight.

How to know through code if the web page is modified on a particular site ?

I have an application developed using struts framework. In my application i accept URL from user and
then connect to that URL. After that i retrieve the contents of that URL and do further processing. I have an action class which does these things. I store these processed contents in database along with the URL.
The requirement is that if some other user requests with the same URL in my application, that time already processed data from database shall be used.
As we know web sites keep on modifying its pages from time to time. I want some routine with which i can check if the issued URL ( specific web page ) is actually modified or not. It it is so , i will connect to actual URL and if no then i will use the data already stored in database . Is that possible ?
What are the possible ways to implement the same ?
Can any one have solution in this regard ?

Use Ajaxical polls to inform the server if there isn't any update. If so, change page accordingly using JS+DOM.
You can't do that from the server side on. The HTTP protocol fortunately disallows pushing responses.

does anyonw has info to whether if one is abkle to know whether the export funvtion Exp or Exp80 exist in a db. In other words, how to query db whether we can do an export of objects/tables or data from a db?
Tried to use Exp80 in Oracle rel 8.0.4 but db says unknown command.

however, i cannot find the exp.exe in the dir mentioned by you. i am a pc (developer installed on WinNt) accessing a remote server (oracle rel 8.0.4 running on Unix). therefore does the exp exist in my pc or do i have to do the export on the remote server itself??

How to know if there are more positive or negative numbers?

I will try to explain my problem with an example, since in the computer I don't have labVIEW installed.
I have 10 numbers and multiply it for 10 other numbers
and of course i will have 10 results, after it I have to show the meddium value of this 10 results and have to show the signal that most appear (+ or -)
My problem is to show the signal, if I have 7 negative numbers and 3 positive numbers, how can I measure it and show the negative signal in the final?
example:
-0,3 -0,8 1 0,3 0,6 -0,7 -0,1 -0,5 0,3 -0,4
So i have to put in the final:
- 0,5

How to know which CS4 serial number is installed on my computer ?

Our company has several CS4 software packages installed on several Windows computers.
Some have been purchased from a store, others have been downloaded from the Adobe webstore.
Now I'd like to upgrade to CS6 on one of the computers; for this, I assume, I will need the serial number of the CS4 packaged installed on that specific computer, correct? but how can I find that out ?
Unfortunately, we did not keep track of which specific CS4 package was installed on which computer
Already deactived CS4 in Indesign while unchecking the 'remove serial number' checkbox, restarted Indesign, and the computer, but nothing seemed to happen
Tried Adobe Chat, but after repeating the same question 3 times and the chat being closed (by Adobe) 3 times without any response to the actual subject, I gave up...not having had the impression that I was talking to a person by the way...

Again, more bad advice from Mylenium. You can use Belarc to find all kinds of information about your computer and installed software, and will show most serial numbers including CS4. I'm running Win 7 Pro with CS2 and CS4 installed and see both serial numbers in Belarc)

go to MY ORACLE SUPPORT (previously called as Metalink) and click on patches & updates tab.
on left most top corner you will find "what are recommended patches?". you can just click and know what are requrired for your version.

Two things, bushmanernie (love the name)
First what version of Lion are you running and have you downloaded any Combo updates since you installed it.
Second; I see you only have 10.6.2 in your profile. You might like to update it.
I don't have Lion myself but I'm guessing you don't have the very latest version. You can check what should be available through the opening Apple support page > downloads.
