How to know print margins size

Hi. I'm developing a print management. I have a problem with impresion margins. I lknow my printer can print with a very little margin (less than one centimeter) but in java, every I print has one inch margins (left, right, upper and lower). How can I to know what are really the less possible margins for each printer from java classes?
Any idea? Thanks.

    Hi,
To know the size of the input message , i hope we have one option , after copying the test payload from the SXMB_MONI into Message mapping test -- click on test
after come back to design tab in message mappign
click on left side root node and Press CTRL+SHIFT + mouse right click and click on trace -- you can see the size of the message payload.
    In SXMB_MONI..
    see the payload messges

  • How to know print program for SAP Script

    Hi friends,
how to know print program for SAP Script form name ?

    Hi ,
You can use the following code changes in the layout & see..
You have to create a program Z_BC460_EX4_HF for that..
    /:PERFORM GET_NAME IN PROGRAM Z_BC460_EX4_HF
    /:  USING &CUST&
    /:  CHANGING &NAME&
    /:ENDPERFORM.
    Dear &NAME&
The ABAP routine could be defined as follows:
IMPORTANT: The structure itcsy must be used for the parameters.
    REPORT Z_HENRIKF_SCRIPT_FORM .
      tables scustom.
form get_name tables in_tab structure itcsy
                           out_tab structure itcsy.
      read table in_tab index 1.
      select single * from scustom
        where id = in_tab-value.
      if sy-subrc = 0.
        read table out_tab index 1.
        move scustom-name to out_tab-value.
        modify out_tab index sy-tabix.
      else.
        read table out_tab index 1.
        move 'No name' to out_tab-value.
        modify out_tab index sy-tabix.
      endif.
You could also fill the ouput parameter table this way
READ TABLE out_par WITH KEY 'NAME1'.
       out_par-value = l_name1.
       MODIFY out_par INDEX sy-tabix.
    endform.

How do you print a size 2 font document on a 4 X 6 index card?

Some printers have a print odd or even numbered pages setting. See if yours does. Do a ⌘ + P and select 'paper handling from the pull down menu to see if your printer has this feature.

  • How do set printing margins for my hp110photo smart printer

I can't get my printer to print the whole page text. It cuts off most of the right portion of the document. How do I set the margins so it doesn't do this.

    seminolepeddler
Possible place(s) to look for a fix:
This might be a function output of the type of document you are printing.
Try setting the editor to wrap the text at a particular margin size.
Depending on your document editor and / or your browser , much of what is printed is controlled in Print Preview.  The Print Preview feature is available in most editors and most browsers under File, that is, the left-most editor drop down menu function.  (Chrome lacks a File Menu, find these features in Settings.)
You may need to switch the print to landscape.
You can also control the margins, at least to a small degree, in the Page Setup > Margins - Header / Footer tab of Print Preview.  Be Aware:  Expanding the margins may impact the header / footer information that is ordinarily printed on the document along with the text.  You can switch off this information, if desired.

  • How to set printer margins if using a lot of printers in virtual desktops which are deleted each time users logs off

    Hello,
i am using Firefox version 31. I have a problem with page setup margins. I need to use left
30mm; right 10mm; top 20mm; bottom 20mm. I am using VMware floating assignemnt linked clones
virtual desktops. After users log off - machines are deleted and users next time logs on get's brand
new VDI's. Users gets printers to VDI using login script from Active Directory.
    Option Explicit
    Dim strPrinterUNC, objNetwork
    strPrinterUNC = "\\some_server\printer_number_1"
    Set objNetwork = CreateObject("WScript.Network")
    objNetwork.AddWindowsPrinterConnection strPrinterUNC
    WScript.Sleep (20000)
    objNetwork.SetDefaultPrinter strPrinterUNC
    Set objNetwork = Nothing
Each user have different logon script, because they use different printers (different printer names e.g. \\some_server\printer_number_2 ; \\some_server\printer_number_3 and etc. Page setup margins in Internet Explorer are ok. But how to make Firefox page setup margins as i need? For other options i have
used CCK2 Wizard 2.0.4 tool. It worked fine. Maybe i can put some information in C:\Program
Files\Mozilla Firefox\defaults\pref\autoconfig.js I have some usefull data in it allready. I
have found info that: "Setting print margins is done in the printer settings". I have a lot of
printers, so i can not set printer margins individualy for each of them. Now mozilla shows top,
bottom, right, left each 12.7 mm. What should i do if i have a lot of printers in enterprise
    environment?

Firefox has a profile folder that has preferences to save this. But the config that would need to be changed is:
print. save_print_settings = True - (default): Save the print settings after each print job
    Locking that preference: [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Locking_preferences]
    Or done manually:
#In order to check the margins, we need to go to ''File'' > ''Page Setup''.
#Once this is done, switch to the ''Margins & Header/Footer'' tab.
#Check what's set there under ''Margins''.
The following are the default values for ''Margins'':
Check these values accordingly and change them if necessary.

  • How to know the specific size of a field in oracle table

    Hello,
    oracle 11.2.0.3 on redhat
i have three tables with same structure, table0, table50, table100:
    create table table0 (id number, shipment RAW(2000), options RAW(2000));
i inserted 10000 rows in each but with some differences:
table0 has 10000 id, but shipment and options has null values
table50 has 10000 id, but shipment and options has only 5000 rows, the other 5000 are null values
table100 has 10000 rows of id, shipment and options. No null values.
I want to know the specific size of each column, also the size of each row, to know the exactly size of the field.
    for example:
row 1, column options of table100 has "asdfasdfagasdgasbabsdgoasdpgiahnwe1129u412094u12"
row 2, column options of table100 has "a".
both are raw datatype, but i think its space will has different size (bytes), how to know it? any query?
    I found this query:
    select owner,tablespace_name,segment_name,sum((bytes/1024/1024)) Bytes
    from sys.dba_extents
where owner in 'MAA' and segment_type='TABLE' and segment_name ='TABLE00'
    group by tablespace_name,owner,segment_name
order by owner,tablespace_name,segment_name, bytes; but i think it isn't my solution.

    thx mr. sb92075
i tried with vsize too but same result:
    with table50
    SELECT VSIZE(OPTIONS) FROM TABLE00;
    VSIZE(OPTIONS)
                 1000
                 1000
                 1000
                 1000
                   *with table100
    SELECT VSIZE(OPTIONS) FROM TABLE100;
    VSIZE(C_ELECCION)
                 2000
                 2000
                 2000
                 2000
*it's the same size for 'a' like 'abcasdfjañldngaosnbaposnbpaosuqroiwejrklasndiaoshbaposdjgajs'?? It's hard for me to believe.
data is saved in blocks, a extents is a contiguos number of blocks and a group of extensions are segments. If you insert some text in a table field, Oracle create a extension and insert there the data but depend the bytes you insert Oracle will create one or more extents. How to know this specific space in that field?

  • How to know the database size

can one tell how to find the database size?

Depends what you mean by database size and how you want the output to look?
Are you referring to the number of rows across all tables of a schema? The number of bytes used by the rows? The number of bytes used by the tablespaces? The number of bytes used by the datafiles? etc. etc. etc. So many options.
Be more clear in your requirements please.

  • How to crop & print specific sizes in Aperture

I have a project I am working on where I need to make a series of prints that are flush-mounted onto boards that are 2.25"x5". I want to take images from my Aperture library, crop the long and skinny portion from them them, and print them out on my Inkjet printer (single prints on 4x6's on my Canon 6220 for tests, but I am going to want to print multiple-up prints on 5x7 paper once I get going as I need 10-20 copies of each print). I started by cropping (using the Custom feature) and then using a 4x6 preset in the printer dialog with the image size set to 2.25x5. I, of course, have run into the issue that the crop tool does not crop by inches, but rather pixels, and only in certain aspect ratios. I have tried making an export preset, as some suggested, but that only works if the image is the right size to begin with. By chance, some of my prints are exactly the right size, but mostly they are a bit short or wide...
How do I make a template or crop guide so that I can crop-out the portion of my image that I want, keeping it in the correct aspect of 2.25x5, and then print it out at the exact size? And then how will I do this as a multiple print job on a single piece of 5x7 paper? Do I need to figure out how many pixels a 2.25x5 print will be? Can I set a custom aspect somehow? I know in PS there is the ability to set the "canvas Size" and work the image into that, but I don't have PS on this machine. I have Pages to work with as well, but no Illustrator or InDesign apps or skills. Ideas?
    Thanks!

If you select Do not constrain or Custom in the crop tool you can set the crop to any aspect ratio you like. You can either drag the box or enter your dimensions in the tool. Note it won't take decimal points in the dimension boxes so in your case enter 500x225
The crop tool only reports MP because inches would make no sense here. The image could be exported and printed at any size the crop tool only sets the aspect ration of the image.

  • How to know the correct size of an image?

hello, a thing ive never got a satisfying anwer on:
how can i know the REAL image size of an image?
    1.
image 1a: this is the size i see in the photoshop window
1b: (why by the way is there 2 sizes?)
    2. image 2: the size i see in windows/my documents.
    same image, big differenct (8mb <--> 49mb)
    which one is correct?
image 1: size in photoshop window
image 2: size in windows/my documents

Don't feel bad; there are more "size" indications than you'd think you need, but they're all useful for some things.  And there are some interrelationships.
    Size indications you might find:
The size in "megabytes" of the image document in your computer's RAM (the first of the two numbers in your first image). This is helpful for getting an idea of how many resources in your computer the process of editing a particular document is taking. This number can grow to much larger than the second number, for example, if you have a lot of layers in your document that Photoshop has to maintain separately in RAM.  This size number will be reflected in the ultimate file sizes on disk when you save master documents (e.g., PSD) in which you maintain all the layers and other information used by Photoshop.
The size in "megabytes" of a flattened TIFF on disk (the second of the two numbers you showed in your first image above).  This was a quick defacto shorthand developed by early people doing film scanning that described how many bytes on disk a flattened, uncompressed 8 bits/channel TIFF file would take.  It is always 3x the size of the image in megapixels, because it's the number of horizontal pixels multiplied by the number of vertical pixels multiplied by 3 colors per pixel (red, green, blue).  This usage of "megabytes" is often confused with the size a file actually does take on RAM or on disk, but they can be very different depending on file formats.
The size on disk of the actual file you saved, as listed by Windows Explorer.  Since you did NOT save the image as a flattened, uncompressed 8 bit TIFF file, but probably as a PSD or JPEG file, each of which embody data compression, the file actually saved on your disk ended up smaller than the projected TIFF file size.  The amount of compression usually differs depending on the image content, so you might find this size varying.  The file size on disk is what will be important to web publishers.
For what it's worth, I prefer to think primarily of the size of an image document in pixels (horizontal x vertical).
I always keep my mind on the pixel count while editing. Then, when I'm preparing to use the image for a specific purpose, I think in terms of output size.
Photoshop's Image - Image Size... dialog is where you set sizes. If you choose to resample, you change the pixel count. This can be appropriate for downsampling an image in preparation for web publishing, where you want the image to be a certain size on a screen. If you don't resample, you are changing metadata kept in the document that instructs Photoshop how large you want a print.  The size of an image in pixels DOES affect the size on disk, and the File - Save process for some formats (e.g., JPEG) puts up a dialog to allow you to choose a compression quality level, which additionally affects the size on disk.
Hope this helps illuminate what you're seeing a little.

  • How to know used space(size) of database or user?

    Hi
can anyone let me know how to caluculate the used space(size) of the database ans user(schema).
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
For the used space of the database you may use the following query:
select sum(bytes)/(1024*1024) "Mo" from dba_segments;For the used space of the Schemas you may use the query below:
    select owner, sum(bytes)/(1024*1024) "Mo"
    from dba_segments
    group by owner;Hope this help.
    Best regards,
    Jean-Valentin

  • How to create (print) Architectural size sheets in Adobe X?

Prior to upgrading to Adobe X we used to have the ability to select Architectural paper sizes in Adobe PDF properties which allowed us to create/print to larger scale sizes.  W/ the new version of Adobe the paper standards tab is missing and we can only print to large PDF's from AutoCAD or if the files we have rec'd are already formatted in the larger scale size.  Is there some kind of update we need to do?  Help!!
    Thanks
    Elaine

It's a much better workflow to create a PDF from an authoring application like AutoCad than to create a PDF from existing PDF using the Adobe PDF Printer. You could loose a lot of valuable information in the file  -- like layers and hyperlinks, etc. Are you saying that you no longer see the Page Size option dropdown options?

  • How do I print actual size?

I am trying to print a CD jewel case image. Every time I make sure under page setup it says "scale = 100%", but it prints this monstrosity that is way too large. This occurs if I print it within the gimp or the eog image viewer.
What do I have to do? This is so annoying.

Sorry, I didn't mean for you to import the image into some other tool to make a document then a pdf - I mean't just print to pdf from gimp.  This would allow you to see exactly what would be printed, and I assume it'd be too large.
This would be because of the size meta-data which is what I first asked about and was trying to get at - alphaniner has shown exactly this.
