How to know the advance of the copy and paste directory in LabVIEW?

Hello,
I am ussing the "copy vi " to copy a windows directory in a different location and works vey well, but I would like to show to the application user the advance amount of the directory copy performed by my LabVIEW 8.2 application, as windows do (or better because normally windows is not accurate in the remaining time).
Does any body know how to do it?

You basically have to do this yourself. You would need to first get a count of the files so you can accurately determine your current progress. The Recursive File List VI can give you a total number of files. Then you can use a progress bar to show the progress. Do a search on the forum for "progress bar". Examples have been posted over the years.

I have decided to dedicate this thread to the wonderful errors of Lion OSX. Each time I find a huge problem with Lion I will make note of it here.
Today I discovered a new treasure of doggie poop in Lion. No Save As......
I repeat. No Save As. In text editor I couldn't save the file with a new extension. I finally accomplished this oh so majorly difficult task (because we all know how difficult it should be to save a file with a new extension) by pressing duplicate and then saving a copy of the file with a new extension. Yet then I had to delete the first copy and send it to trash. And of course then I have to secure empty trash because if I have to do this the rest of my mac's life I will be taking up a quarter of percentage of space with duplicate files. So this is the real reason they got rid of Save As: so that it would garble up some extra GB on the ole hard disk.
So about 20 minutes of my time were wasted while doing my homework and studying for an exam because I had to look up "how to save a file with a new extension in mac Lion" and then wasted time sitting here and ranting on this forum until someone over at Apple wakes up from their OSX-coma.
are you freaking kidding me Apple? I mean REALLY?!!!! who the heck designed this?!!! I want to know. I want his or her name and I want to sit down with them and have a long chat. and then I'd probably splash cold water on their face to wake them up.
I am starting to believe that Apple is Satan.

Why does the "fix" for firefox copying and pasting not work?

I did the fix a few times and restarted firefox, with no success. Also, I installed the latest version of firefox and it is slower now. I have to use firefox for school, otherwise I would just find another way.

In what way is Firefox slow?

Hi,
Check if PDF document has renderable text. Go to Tools -> Text Recognition -> In This File.
Then you should be able to copy the text from PDF.

How the heck to I copy and paste keyframes (scaling, rotation, etc.) in motion 5?

Trying to figure out how to copy keyframes from one object to another obejct in Motion 5, and I'm left screaming pulling my hair out.
It USED to be so easy... where is the paste attributes option here?
Or can I duplicate the object and relink it to another object? Going crazy here. Any help would be great.

There are several ways to copy and paste keyframes:
1. Select the "source object" and go to the animated parameter in the Inspector (position for example).
2. Click and drag the parameter name you want to copy to the destination layer in the layer list via drag and drop. The values (including keyframes) will be copied to the appropriate channels.
OR
1. Select the source object.
2. For each channel that is animated (position, rotation, scale) go to the far right side of the parameter in the Inspector and select "Show in keyframe editor."
3. Select all the keyframes you want (I use a simple click and drag to create a box an select all of the keyframes) and then copy (command-c).
4. Now select the destination layer, position the playhead where you want the keyframes to start from and paste (command-v).

If you just need to match the animation of another layer (Position, Rotation, Scale) try using the Match Move behavior.

If this question is about TextEdit, I don't think you can do it in TextEdit, after pasting the image. TextEdit is meant to be a basic text editing program.
You will have to open the image file in an image editing application. You can use Preview for doing this, or something more fancy. If it's Preview, just open the image file. From the menu bar, under Tools, select Adjust Size. Make the image the desired size. Then, select (outline) the portion of the image you want in the Preview document window. Copy it, and paste it into the TextEdit document window.

Those links in the Edit menu are only highlighted if there is something to do:<br />
Paste should be enabled if the clipboard has data placed on it by a previous Copy or Cut and you have set focus on a text area or field that allows to paste that data.
Copy works if some text is selected.

I"m not sure exactly what you mean, but if I go into an appointment and open that appointment. I'll then see an 'edit' button. I tap on that to bring up a pop up with the details of the appointment. In there I can select and copy text, then I can make a new appointment and paste that text into a new appointment on a different day.

Is there anything special about your drop downs (lots of choices)? Are the drop downs part of the selection? You may need to select all of the fields in the section then add the drop downs to the selection by using control-click (command-click on Mac).

What is the Best way To Copy and paste data from 1 book to another

I have 18 sheets in 5 different books that I want to extract data from specific cells. What is the best way to do this? Example: 1 sheet is called Numbers E-O1 data in 13:WXYZ. The data updates and moves up 1 row every time I enter
a new number. So let's say I enter the number 12. Through a lot of calculations the output goes in 13:WXYZ. To what I call a counter which is a 4 digit number. Anyways, how can I send that 4 digit number to a totally different sheet? To bullet

Enter in cell 2001:CDEF:

This assumes that the file is open in Excel. Otherwise you need to add the path:

Cannot copy and paste plot from LabVIEW to PPT

I am plotting a simple Y vs X curve using XY Graph and 2D Error Bar plot.
When I highlight the two plots, and do CTRL-C, and go to MS PowerPoint and do a CTRL-V, only the XY Graph is pasted.
My 2D Error Bar plot is NOT pasted, but I do see the label for it. This doesn't make any sense. Anyone knows why?

It's probably because the 2D error plot is an XControl, and not actually a "regular" graph.
Exporting the image will work, though.
