How to know the SIM card is BIS enabled or not?
Hi
I have developed a http connection based BlackBerry application.
I am able to download the application and install properly on the device. But I am not able to make http connection through the application. Programmatically all the connections were proper. Throuth the Simulator I am able to make http connection.
Can you please suggest me that will I have to change any settings in my BlackBerry device? I heard that to make http connections the SIM card should be BIS enabled. How can I know programmatically or manually that whether my SIm is BIS enabled or not?
Thanks in advance.
I've no clue. I suggest you check the Developer sections of this forum site:

Good luck!

I keep getting No Service when trying to connect my unlocked phone to a new carrier. I know the SIM card works so it is an iPhone or AT&T issue. Can anyone help me with this please?
You must complete the unlock process with the ATT SIM in the phone. Follow the directions you received with the email saying that your unlock was approved.
At the end of the process you should have gotten an message saying that your phone was succesfully unlocked. -
when registering my iphone on itunes the message - the sim card insertedin this iphone does not appear to be supported - can anyone shed some light on this and tell me a way around this problem? the phone itself is an english phone and tried to register with a spanish sim and that message appeard, so i tried with my iphone sim which is english and the same message appeared!

I was trying to insert a SIM card into my iPhone 4 without actually knowing how to do so. I assumed that I was to remove the back of the phone and find a slot for it near the battery. I removed the battery in an attempt to find a SIM slot, and was obviously unsuccessful. I put the battery back into place and screwed the phone back plate back on. Note: the battery was fully charged and the iPhone was working perfectly fine before. After screwing the iPhone back into place properly, I thought, I attempted to cut the phone on and it would not do so. I put it back on the charger, and the screen came up that says "Connect to iTunes". I obviously couldn't do so if its plugged into the wall. I plugged into the computer, connected it to iTunes, went through the Recovery mode process, and it still won't turn on. The computer says that the iPhone is in Recovery mode, but iTunes can't do anything because it has already been restored. When I disconnect it from the computer, I hold all buttons in all possible combinations, but it won't turn on at all. When I plug it into the wall, it again says to connect to iTunes. I don't know if I damaged the battery or any part within the iPhone, but I was sensitive in my approach to removing the battery and putting it back in, and there is no visible damage whatsoever. I am extremely frustrated and in desperate need of Apple-Pro help.
do you have a cdma iphone 4? becauase cdma iphones dont have a sim card slot... the providers that use cdma technology here in the us would be verizion, sprint, criket, ect... if you want to use your iphone 4 on att or tmobile (gsm carriers). then you would need a gsm iphone 4 (has sim card slot). a gsm iphone 4 is different than a cdma iphone 4 (they have different radio chips). maby you missed the sim card slot? sim card slot would be on the side of the phone.. never inside (unless it has a removable back cover like the galaxy s3 or s4), if you dont see a sim card slot on the side of the phone than you have a cmda iphone 4. can you tell me what carrier you are trying to use?

How do you insert the sim card to iPhone 4
On the side of the phone, you should see a little slot that you can see in this picture:
Place a bent paperclip or sim card removal tool if you have one into that black hole and the sim card tray should pop out. You can then insert a new sim. -
The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported.
The SIM card that you currently have installed in this iPhone is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server. This is not a hardware issue with the iPhone. Please insert another SIM card from a supported carrier or request that this iPhone be unlocked by your carrier. Please contact Apple for more information.Or if you've recently got the phone unlocked then you'll need to connect it to itunes and then do a fresh restore to unlock it ,although for most users simply connecting to itunes for few seconds did the trick.

How do you update the SIM card on your account?
#1. < Edited for language by Host >
I just thought that needed to be said.
I had a texting problem with my iPhone and found out after 6 hours on the phone that I needed to get a new SIM card. I went to the store and picked it up. I asked them to help me activate the iPhone with the new SIM card. The people at AT&T tell me they can't touch my iPhone. ***? Why sell it then?! Well anyways...They tell me I need to go home and get on iTunes and update the SIM card on my account. I have been looking for 2 hours now and can't figure out how to do this.
If anyone could tell me how to update the SIM card on my account, it would be so greatly appreciated.
Thanks all. Sorry for the venting up there. You just install the new SIM card into your phone and then attach the phone to your computer using the dock or USB cable like you normally would. The phone will be recognized by iTunes and activated for use with your new SIM. (It's just like the fast re-activation that happens after you do a restore. If you blink, you'll probably miss it.)
If you've plugged your phone in and now it's sitting there saying "iPhone sync complete", then it's done. -

HT5163 does the sim card store pictures automatically?
I just did a software upgrade on my 4s, and after the 3 hours that it takes to do it finishes up, the phone says it needs to be restored!! Now, earlier it said it backed up everything but I'm not sure.
As i try to restore it, the phone comes on to show that I need to plug it into itunes and when it extracts the software, itunes says my phone is not found.
Help please!!!The sim card in your iPhone does not store any of your data

I need help, I use my phone for everything enclusive to work. I appreciate if you can help. I'm from Brazil. My name and giullia.Did you purchase this device from Apple or an authorized reseller? It sounds as if you had a device that was jailbroken/hacked to operate on your carrier. Upon updating the iOS, it is now locked back to the original carrier the device was locked to.
Only the carrier the device is locked to can authorize an unlock. You will need to make contact with that carrier and see if they provide unlocking services, and if they do, if you qualify for an unlock. Otherwise, you are out of luck. One that carrier can take care of the unlocking. -
