How to launch home page

since upgrading to Firefox 4, Homepage icon has disappeared

The Home button was moved the the right-side of the Navigation bar, next to the Search Bar. See the screen shot.

Safari sometimes won't launch home page under Lion

I installed Lion a few days ago, and the Safari started to behave in an erratic way. When launched, it sometimes opens the home page that I've set in preferences, but sometimes it opens the page that I was reading just before I quitted Safari last time. This is very inconvenient. What can I do to make sure that Safari always opens the home page when I launch it? Thanks to all who can help!

I installed Lion this past weekend and am having the same issue. I see that no one has rendered any suggestions or helpful tips to correct the problem, which makes me wonder if its just a few customers have this problem or what. But I agree its annoying as can be.
Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? I have set and reset my homepage preferences many many time with no luck. Help!

Photoshop Web Gallery - how to include home page link

I have included a web gallery (created in Photoshop) to my website. Everything works fine; however, after scrolling through the photos there isn't a link to help return to the site's home page. The only option is to click the back arrow many times until you get there. Any ideas how to do this?

Your IE7 settings may be the same as mine, for which I generally keep the Pop-Up Settings fitering level to "High", thus blocking all pop-ups. At this level, I find all of Geoff's links for his Aerial Photos (but curiously not those on other pages) and text links on the Links page are treated as pop-ups. At the Medium level that automatically blocks "most" pop-ups, all links open to a new window for me. IE7 treats all links creating new windows or tabs as pop-ups, and you can control how they behave by changing the Tabbed Browser Settings options for "When a pop-up is encountered". Here's how to get there:
IE7 Tools Menu (or Control Panel) > Internet Options > General tab page > Click "Settings" in the Tabs category and then check the option desired in the resulting dialog.

iPhoto creates its own homepage with its own address, you cannot change it. You might consider using something like tinyurl to promote a shorter URL though.

How to Customize home page of Oracle BPM Worklist

We are using SOA 11.1.1.5.
When we open BPM Worklist http://IPAddress:7003/integration/worklistapp by default it is showing Home page(home.jspx) and it is showing 3 tabs :- My Tasks, Initiated Tasks, Administrative Tasks.
(1) Our requirement is we want to hide Initiated Tasks and Administrative Tasks. We only want to show My Tasks tabs to the user.
I tried but couldn't find any solution.
Now when the user clicks on any task, It opens the task details in preview pane below and also it opens the same task details in new window.
(2) One more requirement is to disable the preview pane which shows the task details below.

When i searched in deployments in 7001/console I found 1 worklist.war deployed.
I found it at Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\base_domain\servers\soa_server2\tmp\_WL_user\worklistapp\r8n7fr\worklist.war
I also found home.jspx file at the location
Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\base_domain\servers\soa_server1\tmp\_WL_user\worklistapp\960vxc\war\home.jspx
which is using some page templates.
Can we modify these jspx pages as per our requirement ?
How can we achieve this?

How to fit home pages to screen?

we just had our HDD replaced, so i downloaded and installed firefox again...problem is, when firefox was installed, home pages does not fit the screen completely...it had like 0.5 margins on both sides...i already tried zoom but it only zooms the text, not the home page/website...what should i do? i never had this problem w/ my previous hard drive that also had firefox 3.6.3 on it...

Another option since Oracle10g XE does not come with Apache, you can replace the License page (index.htm) with this HTML code to automatically route you from http://localhost to http://localhost/apex/

You do this by replacing the index.htm found in the base directory when you ftp to the XE database. Also, to change the port from port 8080 to port 80 run

Can't launch home page

Hello there. when i click the go to homepage lin k, i obtain a big connexion error.
When i try to launch the database (after even before that), it happen nothing.

Oracle XE uses the embedded http listener that comes with the XML DB (XDB) to serve http requests. The default port for HTTP access is 8080.
It also supports the WebDAV protocol just as well as FTP.
You can determine the current configuration using the following commands when you connect to XE as the oracle user SYSTEM (or any other DBA):

How to configure home page in JSF application?

I have a JSF based application. The problem which I am facing is after logging in, I am not able to redirect to a page which I want. In my web.xml, I have entry like:

<welcome-file>index.html</welcome-file>
</welcome-file-list>I have a meta HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" URL = homepage.xhtml entry in my index.html. But still the page is not gettnig redirected to index.jsp.
Is there some way (preferably in web.xml) to navigate directly to homepage.xhtml after I successfully login to the application?

I have a separate login page which uses Spring based security for login. The problem which I mentioned is after I login to the application.
For example, something like Yahoo mail. After you login, you don't directly go to your inbox. There is an intermediate landing page. In my application, after I login, page is not getting redirected to the landing page which I defined, i.e. homepage.xhtml.
Has it got something to do with the entry in web.xml for <welcome-file>?

How come my home page won't pull up

My homepage yahoo mail login page. When firefox opens i get a yahoo search page. I can't get it to open the mail page or the main yahoo page even if I type it in the address bar. I opened my IE and it went to it just fine.

Were you able to figure it out I'm having the same problem, i download a bunch of mixtapes from datpiff. And they appear fine in my iTunes but they won't appear correctly on my iPad. When i search for them they appear on my device, i went to info and made sure everything was correct Artist spelled correctly. But still no luck ? Any Help ???

It might be a pref.js issue. These should give you all the information you need!

Check the adjacent thread regarding Leopard parental controls. I had the same issue on my iMac that you have. You will need to login in as an admin and change the account from "managed" to "standard" by disabling parental controls. Then iTunes will then work as advertised.
If this is an account that needs to be managed, you will have turn the parental controls on again. If you re-enable the parental controls (after turning them off), make sure to recheck all Safari settings. They get set to "wide open" when you set the account to "standard" and children would have access to everything. Hope this helps.
