How to limit the search help in the selection screen?

Hi All,
I got a selection option in a selection screen,
say SELECT-OPTIONS KSCHL FOR VAKE-KSCHL.
I want to limit the output list of the search help of this field, e.g. 33 entries for a specific application and usage.
What should I do ?

The user can only make an entry on one line. Calling the additional "Multiple Selection" screen is not supported and no pushbutton for this appears on the selection screen.

Effect
The selection option is displayed on the selection screen without a 'to' field. The pushbutton for calling the "Multiple Selection" screen appears immediately after the 'from' field.
This addition thus allows you to generate a simplified display on the selection screen. This is particularly useful if you are not making any range selections for this selection option.
Notes
On the "Multiple Selection" screen, you can also enter ranges for selection options with "NO INTERVALS".
By combining this addition with "NO-EXTENSION", you can restrict the user to entry of a single value for the selection option, but with the possibility of also choosing single value options like 'Greater than' or 'Less than or equal'.
By using the addition " NO INTERVALS" with SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF BLOCK, you can activate the simplified display for all selection options in a block.
The function module SELECT_OPTIONS_RESTRICT allows you to restrict the set of selection options available for a SELECT-OPTION (for example, only single values and patterns, i.e. 'EQ' and 'CP' are allowed). You can also forbid the leading sign 'E' (= 'Exclude from selection'). This means that you can considerably restrict the selections which can be entered on the selection screen.
Just now tried it out to limit the search help u have to use NO-EXTENSION.
Try this simple code.
Tables: mara.
SELECT-OPTIONS: s_matnr FOR MARA-matnr NO-EXTENSION.

Fetch all the data which from the table which you want to show in the search help and pass the value to the FM

can any body helpme how to change the selection screen i.e i want add some more select options to the exisiting roport .
how can i add more select options to the exisiting one

In the program ...we can find the following chunk of code..
selection-screen:begin of block B1 with frame title text-001.
Parameters : ....
select-options:.....
selection-screen:end of block b1.
if we need to add any more user inputs we can write the code inside the existing
selection screen....end of block .
or create a new block ..just the block name should be different...
if we are using select options...we need to declare the table name using the key word for the field on which we are giving select options ....
Tables : BSIK.

there are many options available in selection screens..like creating check box,radio button etc..

Split your text into different lines to fit it.
Create a text element for your text and write it as comments.

How to customize the selection screen of Get Objec

I'm developing a program for sap hr.
I use the 'Get objec' to creat the selection screen.
and I wanna limit the date selection.
The defaut display is the 'Period' of radio-button group.
and I want only the single field 'Date' for input insead of a period with starting and ending dates (manuelly we need click on a button to switch to 'Date' input).
How can I switch automatically to the 'date' when I initilize my program?

goto attributes, click on 'HR Report category'
now make sure that, 'Master Data (Infotype)' is changed accordingly your requirement.

How to disable the selection screen element?

Hello Colleague,
I have a report which has a checkbox in the selection screen. Currently I need to create two transaction codes for the report. When Tcode1 is executed, the program will execute in normal way. When Tcode2 is executed, the checkbox should be selected and greyed (not ready to input).
To implement the requirement, I think I should control the screen in the INITIALIZATION event according to the SY-TCODE. But when I tried to use LOOP AT SCREEN, I find SCREEN is empty.
I search a lot of threads. They all introduce the selection control after screen is displayed.
Can any expert help me on the problem?

         my requirement is in one of the screen while i will press a push button it will call one transaction and it will fill the selection screen build order number field and skip the first screen i.e the selection screen it will show the output of that report directly.

How to create the selection screen dynamically

I have a requirement to create the selection screen Dynamically. All the fields that should appear on the selection screen will be available in a custom table. So, based on the entries available in the Z tables, the selection screen should be built. Eg. If there are 10 records available in the Z table, the selection screen should consist of 10 fields. If there are 100 entries, the Selection screen should contain 100 fields. and the logic to build this selection screen should be carried out dynamically in the program.
Could anyone of you please share the valuable inputs on this. If anyone has the sample code to do this, please share.

I want to print the variant selected on the selection screen as a report header in the report painter.....Kindly help....The variant selected prior to generating the report painter output must be displayed on the final output screen as the header on the screen...

Just pass parameters for report_name                 as repid

Check the attributes of the report program where you assign the LDB. You can see the parameter Selection Screen press the F4 and check the LBD is provided any Blank screen or not.
For some LDB's you can find the Report Category in the attribute section of the report. either you can create the new screen or standard screen might be provided with Blank.
Check there ..
If you don't find you can use LOOP AT SCREEN..ENDLOOP to hide the fields of LDB.
Which LDB you are using.

How to hide the selection-screen Begin of Block

I copied the standard program into my new 'Z' prog.
But i dont need a selection-screen begin of block and end of block i.e. I have to hide the entire block from the output screen.
I can delete the selction-screen block , but the field which is present inside the block is used in several places of program
and i dont know the purpose of the fields.
Can any one help me to hide the block.

Use keyword NO-DISPLAY with the select options or parameter which u want to hide in the selection screen.
No need to comment statements Begin of block or end of block.

SELECT-OPTIONS: s_month FOR isellist-month no-display .
PARAMETERS: p_email LIKE somlreci1-receiver no-display.
