How to link folio to web-based app builder?

Hello,
I'm building a native Android app through the web-based App Builder (on Windows machine). That part went well. But how can i link my folio from within InDesign CC to that app? I expected the App Builder to ask me where to find it, but it didn't. So now, i created just an empty app ... Anybody?

In the General tab, you specify the Application account and password, as described in the Building native Android apps help article.
Application Account / Password. Select the Application account (also referred to as a "Title ID") used to publish the folios that will appear in the app library.
Have you used the Account Administration tool to configure and Adobe ID with an Application role? And have you used Folio Producer to publish one or more folios in that account as Public? If so, those published folios will appear in your native Android app when you download it and add it to a device.
You can also download the Android version of the Adobe Content Viewer from the Google Play Store to test folios in your account. Keep in mind that the native viewer is still catching up to the iOS viewer's feature set. Again, these limitations are described in that article.

  • Cannot log in to web based app builder

I have created an app for iOS and would now like to do an Android version, so following the instructions on the Adobe site I try and log into the web based app builder but get the following message 'ERROR This account does not have permission to access App Builder. Learn more about how to resolve this problem.'
The log in I'm using is definitely the account administrator, I have even given admin privileges to another member of our creative cloud team and tried logging in with these details but alas, the same message appears.

RE: Make sure the account you use to sign in to App Builder has a "DPS App Builder" role assigned to it. Use the Account Administration portal to assign roles.
    Hi Bob,
I am having the same problem. Could u tell me how to check that I have DPS App Builder role?

  • How can I distribute my web-based app properly?

I created a web-based application that contain CWGraph3D.ocx and CWAnalysis.ocx. My ComponentWork's version is 6.0. During development and compilcation, there is no problem (I developed my app. in VB6sp5). After that I use Package and Development Wizard of VB to create HTML page and its cab file. During this operation, I got the message mentioned that my CWAnalysis.ocx (only this ocx) doesn't match with the register in the registry. I just clicked on 'No' to accept this. Finally, I create LPK file to include in my html page file. My LPK file includes runtime licenses of CWArray, CWMatrix, CWComplex, CWDSP, and CWGraph3D. After I uploaded my app to web site, the other computers can load my web page, but it is the bla
nk page because something wrongs in the components. There is no any nofication or error from Internet Explorer. So I tried to test something to find out the problem. I remove CWAnalysis and redo all processes, it doesn't work. I remove CWGraph3D and redo again, it works! So I moved back CWAnalsysis, and redo it again, it doesn't work. I assume that there are some problems in ComponentWorks. But I don't know how to solve this problem.
    Thank you.

So the error message basically says that CWanalysis control does not match with the information in the registry. Did a re-install help any? Is this the only development machine causing the problem. One thing to try is re-installing the control, by uninstalling Measurement Studio, unregister the cwanalysis.ocx ( using regsvr32), delete the ocx file, reboot and then re-install Measurement Studio. This would make sure that the controls get installed correctly.

  • Web-based app builder error

    hi!
    what does it mean?
    thank you

Hi, can you please help us track down this problem by sending me a private message with the following info:
The initial title you gave to the application when the error was triggered
    Operating System
Browser and version of the browser
Any installed addons you know of that may interact with the page elements.
Also, can you please tell me if the error is easily reproduceble:
Edit the app, change the application title to what you originally intended and see if an error is shown next to it (you should see an exclamation marked inside an orange triangle). Cancel the changes since this is just a test.
    Thanks and best regards,

  • E72: Web-based apps try using connection other tha...

I bought my wife an E72 yeasterday. After we charged the battery up and turned it on, everything seemed to work alright. I set up the WLAN connection on my wireless at home, and I tested the use of Facebook, MySpace, etc. Her SIM card needs to be topped up, so the phone keeps saying "SIM Registration Failed." We're going to top it up this morning, so no worries about that. This morning she tried using the Facebook app, but instead of conecting via WLAN, it says "Connecting via IDEAS" which is the Singtel SIM card here in Singapore. I've manually connected to my Wifi network here, and even went to the connection manager to set the priority to 1. The app still doesn't connect via WLAN, and instead tries to use the SIM. When she does top up her card, this could be a quick money waster, especially when we have an abundance of Wifi connectivity....so how do I get the web-based apps to use WLAN over anything else?
    Thanks in advance!

Hadimassa, thank you for pointing me in the right direction! I was able to do this for the Facebook app, and now it works without any problems. Can something similar be done for the Ovi store, or other services, like downloading languages for the dictionary app? Both of these options attempt to use the Singtel IDEAS method to connect, but because it's a prepaid phone, it's not possible. Any way to make them use the Wifi, or can this not be done over this type of connection?
    Thanks in advance!
I'll bet you can. Check the English manual on page 137 about Accesspoint Groups and Priorities.

  • Why ipad safari freezes while other web-based apps work ok?

    Hello ozziozzi,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Have you tried quitting the Safari app and launching it again?  How about restarting and resetting the iPad?
    Restart or reset iPad
If something isn’t working right, try restarting iPad, forcing an app to quit, or resetting iPad.
Restart iPad.  Hold down the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPad. To turn iPad back on, hold down the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
iPad may be low on power. Connect iPad to the USB power adapter to charge. See Charge and monitor the battery.
Force an app to quit.  Hold down the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPad for a few seconds until a red slider appears, then hold down the Home button until the app closes.
If you can’t turn off iPad or if the problem continues, you may need to reset iPad. Do this only if you’re unable to restart iPad.
Reset iPad.  Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
You can reset the word dictionary, network settings, home screen layout, and location warnings. You can also erase all of your content and settings.

  • Web-based apps not connecting

My son, who lives 90-miles away from me with my ex, has had a problem with his iPod touch. Ironically, we just had it replaced do to a hardware failure last week.
Web-based apps, such as facebook, (or his favorite, iFunny), will not connect to the Internet, despite him connecting to wi-fi. Very strangely, browsers, such as Safari, and Chrome, do not have this problem.
I am hoping there is some setting I don't know about that he has toggled that will fix all this and save me from a 90-minute drive to the genius bar.

Does the iOS device work OK when connected to other networks?
Do other devices connect with those apps?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • How do I convert a web based file to a PDF file?

How do I convert a web based file to a PDF file? I know that you "Print to File" but for some reason that is not working for me.  I have Adobe Reader X, shouldn't that be able to create a PDF like this, or is there another program that I need to do this?  Thanks.

    Hi, gfrerichs.
Reader X cannot create a PDF file - it can only view and print existing PDF files.
In order to create a PDF file (for example, print a webpage as a PDF, as you mentioned), you can purchase our CreatePDF service. This service includes a CreatePDF Printer which can print web pages to PDF.
Or you could purchase Acrobat, which can also convert webpages to PDF.

My question is... exist some method or some kind of code with I can do the connection?
    Can someone help me, please?

SQLLite is only available in AIR apps.
The preferred method for a web-app is to use some kind service architecture to expose your data. I wouldn't be able to offer any specific advise without knowing more about your deployment environment.

  • IPhone 5 unable to connect to internet or use web-based apps like Facebook or Tumblr

About two days ago, shortly after using my iPhone 5 to upload a picture of my son eating a donut to Facebook, I seem to have lost all ability to connect to the internet or update content on web-based apps like Facebook or Tumblr.  I tried to restore my iPhone in iTunes on my computer but could not do that without first turning of "Find My iPhone," in the iCloud section of my settings.  When asked to enter my password to turn off this feature the phone is "unable to connect to iCloud."  It doesn't seem to matter if I'm connected to WiFi or using my cell data - I'm getting a strong signal in either case, but the phone is unable to connect to anything.  I CAN make phone calls and send texts but that's just about it.
I recently updated to IOS 8.1.1 but it worked fine for several days before this problem started.  Any ideas?

I reset my network settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings) and rejoined my network, and that seemed to fix it. Apps are working on wifi and on data, and I can once again send imessages. Since I couldn't find a similar post very easily, I wanted to post this for whoever needs help with this problem ;D

  • Capture iPhone camera and microphone using QuickTIme in a web based app.

    Hi all.
Can I capture video from iPhone's camera and audio from the mic. using QuickTime in a web based app. ? Of course on the iPhone 3G and 3GS. I need this because I want to let users to use the iPhone for a web based video chat. So theoretically my point is to use QuickTime to capture an a/v signal from a Mac camera/mic. or iPhone camera/mic., to encode that a/v signal (QuickTime knows to encode to H.264/AAC right?) and to send the encoded stream to a server. Is this scenario a realistic one? Can it be implemented ? (I don't have any experience in programming with iPhone and Mac...)
Btw. do you know any emulators for iPhone that runs on Windows 7?
    Thanks,
    Tudor

  • Following iPhone 2G update to OS 3.0.1, cannot use web or web based apps

I recently updated my iPhone and iTunes. iPhone is now running OS 3.0.1. I use o2 as my service provider.
I have had a few problems, all of which have been solved by these discussion forums, so I am hoping this final, highly annoying thing can be sorted.
I cannot access the web. If I enter Safari, a message pops up saying
"Could not activate cellular data network - you are not subscribed to a cellular data service"
Now, for a start, I'm not entirely sure what they mean - is it a problem with the phone or with O2?
I have a little circle next to the carrier name, which I believe (having gone through a troubleshoot on the Apple website) means I have a service of some kind, or my phone recognises a service?
(I'm not technically minded, can you tell!)
Obviously I have no web connection, so I cannot use any of my web based apps either, which is highly irritating.
I'd be really grateful if anyone can help. Thanks in advance.

Hi there. I too had this problem after upgrading an iPhone 2G from OS 2.1 to 3.0.1. I solved it by doing the following:
Select Settings > General > Network > Cellular data network and then change the Cellular data APN to: mobile.o2.co.uk (assuming you are an O2 customer). I think that resetting the network settings under Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings also works.
    Hope this helps.

  • Help NeEDED. How to link to soap web service from objective c

    Hello , HELP
I'm trying to connect to a SOAP based web service using objective C as my programming language. Although the little bit of information on the Apple Dev centre documents is should be straight forward, im struggling like **.
What im trying to do is connect via a small username and password text-box plus 'login' button from interface builder to
    https://api.betfair.com/global/v3/BFGlobalService.wsdl and parameter called login.
then pass it my username and password from the interface text-boxes plus a few other standard set bits of information which are required.
in turn the soap request will pass back a session token which i need to store.
I've tried using WSMakestubs, which builds successfully the classes, but when calling them method nothing happens.

    Hello Etresoft
Thanks again for coming back to me.. I would like to add that maybe on my first thread i wasn't as clear on what i was asking for, and also what avenues have have stepped down before asking for help.. Believe me i hate nothing more than not being able to resolve something myself. I'm currently reading 'another' programming in cocoa book by Arron Hillgrass, although he touches on the web service call to a Amazon web service example, he doesn't go into detail about how to actually do this.
So again thank you for trying to help me.. its greatly appreciated.
Ok back to the subject, and your response below.. I will try and be as informative as i can.
I'm want to create a application using the interface builder which has a username and password textfield plus a button called <login>..
On entering the username and password and pressing the login button, i was to send a request to the a .wdsl (SOAP) web service and login.! the webservice in return will send back a session token, which i need to store for further web service calls.
In xcode i have been trying now for 1 week..!!! and the more i read up on how to make the Soap request call the more i fail to understand if this is simple or complex.
    * A bit more info if i may, on clicking the login button i need to send information to the below address as a soap type request.
    https://api.betfair.com/global/v3/BFGlobalService.wsdl
i need to also tell the request the method name which is loginreq
and also i need to pass these parameters in the request.
    username (from textfield)
    password (from textfield)
    productId = '82'
    vendorsoftwareId = '0'
    locationId = '0'
    ipAddress = '0'
The stage I've got to is, I've used wsmakestubs and I've tried 'wdsl2objc' to create the classes required. I have then created a app controller class and a interface build app with the textfields and login button. I have then linked up the textfields and button to the nsobject appcontroller with a action ibaction loginreq etc. On build and go the app builds without error's but fails to do anything when i press the login button.. (more i think about this the more i think its either two things, one im not passing the parameters and two im not invoking the loginreq method from the class.)
I feel like im wading in treacle and getting nowhere fast.!
All i would like is for some help from someone to point me the correct direction..
Im thinking that with all the Soap web services out there in the WWW, this must now be a easy thing to do in xcode. Im starting to think im stupid..
    Thanks again for you Help
