How to link into flash from outside

This is something I have on my todo - or lookinto list if you
will - for a long time.
Is it possible to push commands into a flash site from the
outside? For instance navigating to a specific frame inside the
flash movie? I haven't a way myself, or seen sites that do this
trick yet, butperhaps AS3 will allow this?

Link INTO Flash Site?

My photographer wife just posted her brand new Flash site.
And it's great.
But, we just noticed that other specialist sites linked to
the relevant page of her old site. Is there a way to create links
into Flash sites without creating separate HTML pages? The idea
would be to go to a specific navigation point.

to your exact section on the flash movie. I just forget what's the

How to link into certain part of swf file through XML?

I wonder if we can use XML to link into certain section of a SWF file?
I have purchased a carousel which is composed mainly by AS3 and XML, it contains of 6 images linking to 6 different section of a swf file. From where should I modify to add-in the sub-button onto the carousel image? How should I modify the XML when I click on the sub-button, it will link into certain section of a swf file?

Ready - made carousels usually need very little customization work limited to uploading your own images and writing the path to them in the xml file, you're supplied with.
Some carousels will include options for customizing the text displayed in the buttons. You just need to look for this section in the xml file and change the text accoridng to your needs.
For example if you have the following xml:

you can specify 2 texts for image description and it's place on the server

Can not foward into voicemail from outside call on CUE and CUCM 8.6

I have CUE Utility and CUCM 8.6.
I can call from local, if user busy or go out office then call will foward to voice mail.It is ok.
But when i call from outside to my phone(direct line), then call can not foward to voice mail on CUE.
Please help me some solution.

A couple of things to check. Have you set the Forward Busy/No Answer "External"
on the DN config page in CUCM?
Are the calls coming in using a codec other than g.711?

Why do images brought into flash from a psd appear differently when publish

I am creating a flash banner using a layered psd. The account team is happy with the look of the psd. BUT, when I bring the images into flash and publish the file, the colors look different. I import them into flash at the highest quality yet they don't look the same. Any advice?

The answer relates to color spaces (profiles) and color management in Flash.
In the other creative suite applications you work with a color space to define the colors your using—i.e., if you have #ff0000 full red this will be a different color in sRGB (an RGB color space) than Adobe 1998 (a different RGB color space). You need to have a color space (profile) to make sense of the color values.
Flash doesn't honor profiles currently, which means it ignores these profiles. By default in Flash Player 10, and the only option in all players before 10, it gives these color numbers to the operating system without a color space, so the operating system is in charge of making sense of these numbers. In Windows it will assume these numbers are in the sRGB color space, on Mac it will assume that these numbers are in the monitor's color space (on my macbook this is Color LCD, which I believe is the color space for all macbooks by default).
The way to get the colors to look the best in Flash is to make sure that the document is sRGB before you bring it into Flash. In Photoshop you can convert the colors into the sRGB color space, which will change these color values into the sRGB color space, by going to Edit -> Convert to Profile, and find sRGB in the RGB dropdown. Another way to do it if you are saving just a flat image is to use File -> Save For Web & Devices and check the Convert to sRGB checkbox on the right. Now when you bring the image in to Flash and publish it it should look right on Windows, and probably better on Mac.
Flash Player 10 adds a feature where you can say that all the images are in the sRGB color space and it will hand the color values to the operating system as sRGB numbers. This makes it work better on Mac, if the swf file is viewed in an environment that honors profiles (Mac and Windows honor profiles but most browsers still ignore profiles, but that's getting better). You can turn this feature on by putting this code into your Flash file: stage.colorCorrection = ColorCorrection.ON;. I have a requirement where i need to call below webdynpro application from outside (for ex CRM,ISA..) environments

I am not getting any error, but the backend call not hapening. I put a debugger in the backend BAPI and run the webdynpro application , no input parameters came or call came to the the backend BAPI.

How can I stop flash from preventing keyboard shortcuts, such as Ctrl-T?

If a tab is open and any flash object is highlighted, Shortcuts such as Ctrl T do not work because the flash object is monitoring the keyboard.
How can I prevent this behavior? I wish firefox KB shortcuts to have primacy.

If a plugin like Flash has focus then you need to use the mouse to set focus to an element outside that Flash object. There is currently no way to do that with the keyboard.

How to - invoke OAF function from outside oracle with parameters?

I have an oaf page, that does simple create/update/view functions for set of records based on custom db.
currently user has to login to oracle apps, go to resp> invoke the page> search the part number > look up all the existing records(part#,set#,rev)> click on view link to view details of specific record.
The requirement is : to invoke a set of record outside oracle.
for example : user goes on network folder and opens a doc file from : /folder-2010/AAA-101-pqr.doc
contents of doc file :
revision = 1
setNumber=2
partNumber : ABCDEF* --this needs to be a link invoking the function call to the oaf page with these set of parameters :revision, part number and set number.
....and a few more....
What I did was : I gave the OAFunc=xxxxx guest grants (http://mukx.blogspot.com/2008/07/creation-of-anonymous-page-introduction.html)
so it invokes the main page from any file outside oracle, without login required. but i still have to search the existing records for a part number and click on view link.
How can I pass the part#,set#,rev to the link so that it opens up the view page directly ?
any help would be appreciated.

I've just re-read your original question - If you want the BI Server accessible on the internet you need it visibile outside of your firewall - Your network people should be able to set up any routing you need to achieve this.
Chances are if you have a VM running on an internal server, you wont have this access by default - there are various security hoops to jump through to get this working.

You are posting in the Mac App Store forum and as stated you cannot gift apps from one country to another, at least not easily. However, your question sounds like you are actually asking about purchasind an Apple hardware product, such as a Mac or an iOS device. That is also a bit difficult directly with Apple, but it can usually be achieved by making your purchase through an Apple Authorized 3rd party vender, such as Amazon.com and you can often use international bankcards to pay for the purchase or even a PayPal account funded by your bank card. I would look into that possibility.

How do I stop Flash from changing sound volume?

I've got a sound in WAV format embedded in a FLA file which I intend to export into a SWC and instanciate in code.
The sound is too loud! So I made it quieter by running "amplify" in Audition (I also tried Audacity) and setting it to something like -10db.
The new sound is much quieter when I play it in Audition or windows media player, but when I embed it in a FLA and play it in the little previewer, it's as loud as the original. Same goes when I export it to the SWC. I thought I was going mad for awhile until I realized Flash must automatically normalize all sounds to a particular volume. But I can't find any references to this or any setting that stops it. Is this new in CC? Is it a bug?
I thought I remember "Use Original Settings" being one of the choices for compression in CS6 but it seems to be gone. File size isn't an issue in this case, so is there some way to ask Flash not to mess with my wav files at all?

Thanks for verifying that I'm not losing my mind Rob. I've reported the bug. This is only a test sound, so hopefully my sound engineer can fix the issue before production. If not I can build the swc using CS6, or as a final resort set the volume in the code.
I have other quiet sounds that don't get mangled by Flash. As a test I opened those working sounds and this broken one in Audition and normalized them all to 0db. The working sounds seemed unchanged, but the broken one became loud. I don't understand why this is, but I assume Flash CC is doing something similar.
