When we receive stock through MFHU transaction it becomes sales order stock. The movement type used to receive these into stock would be 131 for MTS & 131 E for MTO. My question is how link Material Document (MKPF/MSEG) with Sales Order because later using that sales order and line item I want to get the planned order number in SAP from PLAF table.

To refer to Sales order you have to go to Purchase order .
Step1 -From MSEG table you can get the EBELN ( PO) EBELP
BWART (Movement Type).
Step2-Now go to EKPO and retrieve all the PO EBELN, LABNR corrresponding
to the PO found the MSEG table.
Step3-Now go to the VBAK for Sales order Header record and compare the field
VBELN = EKPO-LABNR+0(10) and to rerive Sales order item go to VBAP and
copmpare the fields VBELN = EKPO-LABNR+0(10) and
POSNR = EKPO-LABNR+10(5).

How to change material classification for class type 023

Hi Expert,
I want to change class ZSK_EXPIRY_DATE to ZSKK_GR_DATE under class type 023 in classfication tab (MM02). Understand that the same class also assigned to material and batch in MSC3N. So i'm sure it's not as easy asdo the direct change in CL20N. Can i anyone please guide me step by step to change it? What is the pre-requisite and the impact of the change that i have to care of..

Hi Crystal,
You consume all the materials created with the earlier batch classification and then try to change it. or keep the assinged class and then create your new required class and then assign the new class to the material in classification view and start using the new one.

Here are the simple steps to follow to link the material to class. The steps also include set-up for creating material to assignment.
1. Create Material
Menu Path: Logistics Materials Management Master Data Material- Create
Transaction Code: MM01
[Enter the material type as Configurable Material.
Ensure that check box Material is configurable is checked (i.e. MARA-KZKFG has value X) in Basic Data view]
2. Create Characteristics
Menu Path: Logistics Central Functions Classification Master Data Characteristics - Create
Transaction Code: CT04
All the required characteristics should be created before proceeding to next step.
3. Create Class
Menu Path: Logistics Central Functions Classification Master Data Class - Create. Transaction Code: CL01
Enter name of class.
Enter class type as 300 - Variants.
Enter description and other relevant details.
4. ASSIGN CHARACTERISTICS TO CLASS
Menu Path: Logistics Central Functions Classification Master Data Class - Change [Transaction Code: CL02]
Note: Assignment of characteristics to class can be done while creating class also, if all the characteristics are created before creating class.
Go to Characteristics tab and assign all the characteristics in sequence in which you want them to appear logically.
5. CREATE CONFIGURATION PROFILE
Menu Path: Logistics Central Functions Variant Configuration Configuration Profile Create [Transaction Code: CU41]
Material to class assignment is created via Configuration Profile.

Link Material Document generated for material movement due to production

Hello Expert,
I am creating a zreport for Material Consumption during Production. I am assuming Confirmation entry in PP module as a base of this report and linking to Material Movement data in MM Module. But I am not able to link this data from tables.
Can you pls guide me how to link Material Document generated for material movement due to production confirmation entry and actual production confirmation entry.

Hi Shilendra ,
You can create a report with the logic. That all the materials which are created due to backflushing confirmation are created with movement type 131 and the component material are consumed by movement type 261.So you can create the report with this logic.

How to restrict Material Class in Sales Contract Doc

Hi,
I need to restrict Material Class in Sales order based on Item catagory, Material group4 and Sales contract Document type.
If the above 3 fields having a particular value then the system should restrict all the other classes of that material and display only a particular class and it's related characteristics.
If any one come across such a senario then pklease let me know.

How to get ATINN value based on material number and Class Type ?

I have below SELECT stmt code which gives the correct value of atwrt based on materil no and ATINN.
However in quality system, it is failing because in quality system "atinn" value is not 0000000381. It is different.
So how can I get ATINN(Internal characteristic) value based on material number and Class Type?
-Obtain the batch characterstic value for the Material******************

How to generate Outbound idoc for Material Reservation

Hi Experts,
I want to send outbound IDoc when a material reservation is created with tcode MB21.
I have been working on this issue and finding the solution in SCN for a week...
I found some messages similar to this but I could not find out the correct way how to do that.
At this moment, I configured BD64/WE20 referring the following topic which seems to be feasible solution but could not find any outbound IDocs created, unfortunately.
Implement ALE_RESERVATION_CREATE
I appreciate if someone can help me how to create outbound IDoc with MB21 or advice some possibility of missing configuration or steps.

where i m creating a IDOC in XI and sending it to R/3,
i have done all settings to send the IDOC from XI to the R/3,
i also have the function module to process that IDOC in R/3,

FOr this u need to go to transaction WE41 for inbound and WE40 for outbound there u assign the function module.
Now u go to WE20 transaction for partner profile and u can assign the proces code to the inbound message.

How to send a Material Idoc in format XML to SQL Server DB?

I am creating a Material Idoc in format XML and I need send the same to a SQL Server DB.
In the transaction BD10 I create the XML Idoc, but the same is stored in the SAP Server and I need send this to an external SQL Server DB.
Somebody knows how to send automatically the XML Idoc to a SQL Server DB?

Hi,
All your XML idoc will get store in App layer,you can ask your Unix expert to write the unix code to fetch these XML idoc files and transfer to destination based on time period set by conjob.
This is simple & easy job for any UNIX expert.

View material from several classes with characteristics

I'm wondering if there's a transaction where you can show material from several classes at the same time, and also see the characteristics to be able to sort amongst them.
My experience is that when the characteristics are shown I can only get the materials from one class, and when having a view of the materials from two or more classes I can't get information enough (like characteristics).

1. Yes... several broadcasters can publish to a single server. Configuration will be dictated by your application architecture and anticipated usage requirements. You can republish the live streams to multiple servers to accomodate large audiences.
2. FMS 3.5 does not multicast. Each client will consume server side bandwidth at a rate equal to the bitrate of the video stream
3. FMIS (interactive server) supports authentication through a C++ architecture, and through server side actionscript. Authentication is not built-in... you'll need to develop your own authentication mechanism (see the recent thread on the topic).
4. You can caluculate bandwidth by multiplying video bitrate by the number of clients publishing and/or subscribing to the stream. User capacity will be govorned by the capability of the hardware, and by the available throughput of the network interface. Unless you're running 10gigE network cards or very low end servers, chances are you'll max out throughput before you max out hardware.
At 10,000 concurrent clients, you'll definitely need more than one server. For that volume, I'd plan for at least four, and plan for developing an architecture for distributing the live streams across multiple servers. A good place to start is here:

I am working with O.Pelat and I would like to give you more informations about the question asked.
We have many IDoc to maintain and we have also "normal" interfaces abap program.
After that we would like to generate for all of our interfaces, application log via SLG1 and send an email to the flux responsable person with SLG1 log attached.
It is not a problem to generate SLG1 with the "normal ABAP interface", but we don't know how to link the application log SLG1 to an Idoc.
We heard and we saw before application log posted by an incomming IDoc. So our question is:
It is possible to link/connect (by customizing action our SAP transaction) an application log SLG1 to an Idoc? (with same messages find in Idoc monitoring)
Maybe you have an other simpliest soluce ..

Transfer of Material Class characteristics into Batch

Hello,
Is there a way to transfer the material specific class characteristics ( maintained in material class 001) into Batch, while creating a new batch?
For e.g. for Material A, i have Material Class Characteristic = COLOR, with a value RED.
So if i create a new Batch for Material A, the COLOR characteristic in Batch should get defaulted to RED, instead of manually entering.
Pl let us know, if this is possible.

You can use function module exit EXIT_SAPLV01Z_014 SAP enhancement SAPLV1ZN when assigning characteristic values to batches with EXTENDED_CLASSIFYING parameter. You use this to classify user-defined characteristics in the background when creating a new batch using the central function module VB_CREATE_BATCH during activated batch classification.

To add spec. limits to a class characteristic:
1. Select the characteristic
2. Click on overwrite values icon
3. Enter the spec.limits as 9.995 - 10.005
4. It is worthwhile ticking the box for "Additional values", otherwise out-of-spec results will not get transferred.
Try that and let me know if you have problems
Note: if you need require LSL and USL to be passed to your MIC rather than a target value apply OSS note 119708 (QM: No Intervals can be derived in Configuration).
