How to list all names in JNDI?

Hi,
the following program does work with J2EE, but does not work with
iPlanet. I am very disappointed with iPlanet, it has many bugs, some
functions in the tools provided are still not implemented (try to delete
something you have deployed, thins brings up a window, saying "Not
implemented yet"), things, that work with other J2EE-Servers do not work
with iPlanet.
public class Ctx {
public static final void main(String[] args) {
InitialContext ctx = null;
if (args.length != 1) {
System.err.println("Please specify naming root, e.g.
java:comp/env/");
} else {
String root = args[0];
System.out.println("NamingRoot: " + root);
try {
          // only for iplanet
Hashtable env = new Hashtable();
env.put("java.naming.provider.url",
"iiop://localhost:9010");
env.put("java.naming.factory.initial",
"com.sun.jndi.cosnaming.CNCtxFactory");
          // only for iplanet
ctx = new InitialContext(env);
NamingEnumeration enum = ctx.list(root);
while (enum.hasMore()) {
System.out.println(enum.next().toString());
} catch (Exception e) {
System.out.println(e);

    How to list all the files in a given directory?

    A possible recursive algorithm for printing all the files in a directory and its subdirectories is:
    Print the name of the directory
    for each file in the directory:
    if the file is a directory:
    Print its contents recursively
    else
    Print the name of the file.
    Directory "games"
    blackbox
    Directory "CardGames"
    cribbage
    euchre
    tetris
    The Solution
    This program lists the contents of a directory specified by
    the user. The contents of subdirectories are also listed,
    up to any level of nesting. Indentation is used to show
    the level of nesting.
    The user is asked to type in a directory name.
    If the name entered by the user is not a directory, a
    message is printed and the program ends.

  • Urgent: How to list all alias for a server throw DNS query?

    Hi
    Is there anyone know how to list all alias for a server by asking the network DNS. Is that possible?
    It doesn't work with InetAddress it return a single result.
    Best regard

    InetAddress will not get you the aliases, but you can certainly find all the different IP addresses for a specific host name using the getAllByName() method.
    You won't be able to get the aliases since those IP addresses (assuming there are more than 1) will all be cached as mapping to the name you passed to the getAllByName() method and you can't clear the map cache until the JVM exits.
    So your best hope is to get a list of IP's and either exit your app and restart with a new mode, or save them to a file for another app to read.

  • How to list all properties in the default Toolkit

    I would like to know what kinds of properties are stored in the default Toolkit (Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit()). I don't know how to list all of them. Toolkit class has a method getProperty(String key, String defaultValue), but without knowing a list of valid keys, this method is useless.

  • How to list all active local ports where a server/services is listening?

    How can I list all local ports where a local server or services is listening?
    The listing should contain the path and program name of the listening server/service.
    So I need something like:
    port=22 /lib/svc/method/sshd
    port=25 /bin/emailprgm
    port=1049 /ust/local/bin/myserver
    How can I do this?

    lsof (compile, sunfreeware.com, blaswave)
    it wont show full path i think (man lsof for more) however it gives pids/ports/exe name, so you could take that and script it or do something with the output.

  • How to list all the fonts in an FLA?

    Hello all,
    I want to find a way to list all the fonts in my FLA files. I want to see that the developers get the fonts they need before the problems crop up - wild idea, I know. Using the edit/font mapping option seems to only show fonts which are missing or have been re-mapped. How do I get the FLA to give me the name of every font it's holding?

    Not the answer you want, but the closest you're going to find:
    Open the Movie Explorer (Window/Movie Explorer). Select the "A" button at the top of the panel and deselect all others. This gives you a list of all text in the FLA, with the font listed at the end of each line.

  • How to list all filename in excuteable jar file?

    Hi there,
    i've been googling around for hours, but found no good answer :(
    i want listing all file name in my excuteable jar file
    Firstly, i use
    File f = new File("/sounds");
    String[] filenames = f.list();
    and use these filenames to load some resouces from url
    //ex
    URL url = getClass().getResource("/sounds/"+filenames);
    No problem occurs when i run it normally
    but when I put it in excuteable jar file, NullPointerException appears
    i think it's because : "File f = new File("/sounds");" doesn't work in jar file (somehow, i don't know why too)
    is there any alternative way to listing all filename in this situation?
    thanks in advance

    There are jar handling classes in the standard library under java.util.jar. I think JarFile is the one you want.
    Hower it's not good practice to list jar contents in order to read resources. It's better to have some kind of resource file in the jar which lists your sounds or whatever. A simple text file with one file name per line suffices.

  • How to list the name of recipient in Sent mail folder

    In the Gmail folder in Mail, is a Sent Mail folder. It lists FROM, SUBJECT, and DATE RECEIVED. My wife is the only account using the Mail appl. She would like to know how to have the name of the mail recipient listed, rather than her name as the sender since she already knows that info.
    Thanks.
    Jerry

    Jerry,
    That should happen automatically in Mail.
    Click the Gmail Sent folder. Where the names of the columns is displayed, there should be a dot next to the first column name. Right-click or control-click to get the menu. Click to check To. If you don't want to see From bring up the menu again and click it to uncheck.
    Done.

    2) I click "edit" button;
    3) owb show a new window,I click "browser" button;
    4) I choose a source datebase link
    so owb should list table name of src db,
    but owb don't list table name of src db,why?

    Hi,
    You can get the details from table "T001K". to fulfill your requirement.
    Hence forth if you want field name : you can click on that field and then hit key "F1",  and then click on icon "Technical Information".
    Hope so this solves your problem.

  • How to list all documents that has linked a image file?

    Hi everyone,
    I'd like to know if there's a way to find all linked file to a file: i have a logo image that a lot of inDesign files have linked to it and i'd like to find all those inDesign files.
    I know that Bridge CS6 can list all linked files of a .indd file but i'd like the opposite
    Regards,

    You might be able to do it via scripting. If you have to search an entire volume it would be impractical, but something like this AppleScript would open all of the ID files inside of a chosen folder and its sub folders. Once the ID file is open it could check for a specific link and if it exists leave the file open otherwise close:
    global mylinkname
    --change YourLinkNameHere to the logo link's name
    set mylinkname to "YourLinkNameHere"
    tell application "Finder"
        activate
        set the thisFolder to (choose folder with prompt "Choose a folder. The extension of all files inside will be hidden.")
        my ProcessFolder(thisFolder)
        tell application "Adobe InDesign CS6"
            activate
            display dialog "Done"
        end tell
    end tell
    on ProcessFolder(thisFolder)
        set theseItems to list folder thisFolder without invisibles
        repeat with i from 1 to count of theseItems
            set thisItem to alias ((thisFolder as text) & (item i of theseItems))
            set the iteminfo to info for thisItem
            if folder of the iteminfo is true then

  • How to list all reports in Infoview

    We have over 2,000 reports avaiable in Infoview. We can see the reports via the CMC.... and we would like to export that list to Excel or at least get a list of all reports available in InfoView on paper.
    Ideally, it would be nice to know the last time run and who ran the report as well.
    Is there a method to list all reports or a SQL query that can be run to show all report names?
    Thanks!

    Sorry to say I don't know anything about the Query Builder, but will do some research on that and the Auditor.
    And though I appreciate the suggestion of VBA and Excel. I am not familar with VBA/Excel to pull this one off. -nor could I tell which one on that page you are referring to as the link goes to the BOB and does not narrow down what in that forum works.
    I am surprised this task is not so straightforward and requires Excel and VBA.
    thanks again.
