How to listen internet radio?

Hello friends,
Presently I am developing a player which listing internet radio stations and when user select any station, that station should be play.
Please guide me if anyone has any idea on this topic...

if these don't suit you just go into itunes and search for "radio"

You can't listen to iTunes Radio. However, if you purchase the 2.0 upgrade, you can use such apps as AOL Radio (free) or Tuner (purchase) to listen to streaming internet radio.

How to record internet radio for free?

I have a macbook pro, and I would like to program the macbook to record a short radio show everyday for 5 min. And listen to it when I am free.
Right now I am using the
1. energy saver schedule to program the macbook boot at 7:20am everyday.
2. on the users and group, login item I added chrome & audacity to start
3. I set the default page on chrome to am1430.com/live/pop_live1430.php
4. get the driver call soundflower to redircet the input and output audio link to audacity
5. set the audacity input and output to soundflower 2ch
6. set the audacity transport timer recording to the start time and duration
7. once it is done can export and save the audio to mp3.
But my question is? is there a better way to do this. Any free app can do that?
Can automator be able to do all this?
what is the worst case that if I really want to use this as my first program to write something, what is a good starter to do something like this

How to listen to radio when the iPod nano is docked?

On the iPod, the antenna for the radio is the cable of the earspeakers. However the earplug is on the same side as the docking plug. Is there any accesoire for that or should I make my own design?

If your docking station has a line-in input, you can get a male to male audio cable and it will act as the antenna. I just did this with my nano and it works fine. Only prob is you can't adjust the volume with your docking station remote and the vol on the nano only goes so high. Hope this helps.

I've just checked with clause 2.8 on the terms of use and I think we're okay to discuss this, so long as it's for your personal use. OS X offers no built-in way to record streaming audio. You will need third party software. You will need software to record the audio, Audacity is excellent and free. You will also need software to route the audio from the soundcard to Audacity, Soundflower is what you need - also free.

Playing internet radio on computer cannot connect

I am trying to listen Internet Radio using iTunes in my Windows pc. But, when select a station gets a new window "Opening URL" with the message "connecting..." and stays like that forever. How can I fix that conection?

First, i am sorry for my bad english. When I publish swf for Flash 10 player all stations in my list works. If I publish them for AIR 2.0 stations with adress end ":XXXX", where XXXX is port number, they cannot work. What is problem? Thanks in advance.

In the station list I named only those that use HTTP protocol and mp3 format, cause I know the limits of Flash in audio streamings. If I publish FLA file in SWF for Flash 10 player all the stations can be listened.. If swf file is made for AIR 2.0 there's a problem: the stations with adress http://xxx.xxx:xxx/<something> can be listened, and those without extension behind the port number (:xxx) can not. The Internet radio in iTunes works because you have an Internet connection.
Your iPod classic does not have an Internet connection. It's just a media player. Therefore, there is no way to put Internet radio on an iPod classic.
If you want to play regular (over the air) FM radio on your iPod classic, you can use the iPod radio remote control.

Lightweight internet radio app

I am currently using banshee to listen internet radio-stations. I have there a customized small list of my preferred stations and can easily select one. However banshee is a to blown up for this purpose. So, is there any more lightweight app where I can have such a small customized selection list of stations?

This will play both remote playlists (download and play) and local playlist files. Now that I look at it I could probably improve it but it has been working just fine so as the saying goes, do fix what isn't broken

I don't know if this is what you really want, but I created a Playlist for Radio, and add some of the stations I like from websites. (If you click on the web-links they load into iTunes in the Sidebar). And you can also add individual Radio stations from the top right,(under Apple) to a Playlist. That's the only way I know to have them in the Sidebar.
Z_ZS-B, You also helped me to find the old Radio list! I didn't even know it was up on the right, under Apple. I haven't liked this version of iTunes so I hadn't even bothered to try and figure it out until now, but because I just bought a my first iPod Shuffle I'm determined to bend this version to my will. ;-)

I love my new Mac. I would like to be able to listen to some internet radio stations in itunes. Unfortunatelly, they all only audio in wmp or real player.
Could any one help to find a solution?

iTunes can play any MP3 based streams. You can find a wide selection of streams at shoutcast.com and live365.com.
