how to keep radio stations out of a smart playlist

A cleaner solution is to create a playlist with your running albums, then update the other smart playlists with "Playlist" not in "Running Albums".
That way, you don't need to update each and every playlist when you add a new running album, you just need to put it in the Running Albums playlist.

  • How to broadcast Radio Station to Itunes

    Hiya People.
I am new to Itunes and want to know how I can upload (create) our Radio station's output onto Itunes (if possible).
At the minute we use Windows Media Encoder to broadcast our output onto the internet, but the don't seem to work on a Apple Computer! The error i am gettng is as follows:
Safari cannt find the Internet Plug-in
The page “107.4 Cityvibe FM - Listen Online” has content of MIME type “application/x-oleobject”. Because you don’t have a plug-in installed for this MIME type, this content can’t be displayed.

If by output you mean sound bites and such, convert your media files to mp3 format, update your XML file, and repost.
If, however, you desire streaming your station's daily program schedule, iTunes and podcasting is the wrong venue. Get yourself a Live365 account.

  • How add a radio station to atv3?

attempting to add new radio station to ATV3 using the iTunes playlist method described in hundreds of forum entries about ATV1 and ATV2.
radio station plays fine in itunes;  however, ATV3 sees playlist in Computer>Music>Playlist section but says "There are no songs in this playlist."

You cannot add a radio station to the Apple TV. The descriptions you've seen are probably for the Apple TV 1. As a workaround you can airplay the radio station from your iTunes library to the Apple TV.

  • How to listen radio without internet?

    Hello there,
I have been looking for a radio to listen music with no internet but there's nothing
Is there anything that I can do?

As the iPhone does not have an AM/FM radio receiver, the only way you can listen to "radio" is over an internet connection. If you don't have one, you'll need to buy an inexpensive radio.
    Best of luck.

  • How do I connect to radio stations for free automatic afternoon or evening of my favorite music? Do I  forget about it on laptop, and plan to only enjoy radio music off my iMac desktop??

Radio streaming is my preferred music system on desktop Mac OSX, but new birthday MacBook Pro does not understand this. So, I send this message from laptop, while listening to desktop. Please tell me how to get radio station lists on this laptop. I do not download, or purchase music -- only listen to it while doing other things (housework, art, journaling, and currently -- caregiving to 70-lb Toller/Retriever who busted his left rear knee.....).
Please help -- my stress level does not need further elevation!

  • Apple TV Gen 2: Adding extra radio stations

I had a look around but most info seems to relate to ATV G1 and syncing it from iTunes.
I have an ATV Gen 2 running FW V4.1.1 and a number of internet radio stations I listen to regularly on my Mac using iTunes are not listed in the directory of radio stations. I had added these manually to iTunes.
If I make a Playlist in iTunes of all my radio stations, I can browse to the Playlist on the ATV (Providing the Mac it is hosted on is powered up) and I can select the play list but ATV says the play list is empty and I should go to the iTunes store to buy some music...
So... anyone know how to add radio stations to the ATV Gen 2...?
    Thanks
    Andy

The easy way to have the benefit of Apple TV and the best in radio?
Add the free iPhone TuneIn radio app which has all the stations you would ever want - far more than the Apple radio facility and it's quicker to tune in to the stations.
Also add the free iPhone Apple remote.
Tune them BOTH to Apple TV. You can use them both together at the same time with no problem, to control Apple TV from the comfort of your armchair. So you can listen to the radio station you want and watch a display of photos from your library, for example.
It is also possible to blank the screen if you just want to listen to the radio. All using your iPhone!

  • Lost a radio station: Where is "Americana"?

Not sure if it got pulled, or something happened to it on my system. Re-installed iTunes, but no effect. Hmmm...anyone? Thanks.

Quite a few Internet Radio Stations have been (and will be) going off air thanks to the royalty rate hikes that have been proposed by the Copyright Royalty Board.

  • Radio Stations All Gone

I recently updated to iTunes 7.7.1 and now when I go to "Radio", it shows no radio stations at all. The list is totally blank. I can't find any way to refresh the list either (I'm sure previous versions had a Refresh list button...) Any suggestions on how to get radio stations back? Thanks.

OK, I'll partially answer my own question... I've discovered that Radio doesn't work behind a firewall and/or with proxies, which causes the list to show up empty. I'm inside a corporate firewall and have to use proxies to connect to the Web. As there are no apparent provisions for this in iTunes, it's a no-go. Does anyone know how to get Radio in iTunes to work behind a firewall and/or with proxy servers? What port/protocol does it use? Thanks.

  • How can I listen to Jazz FM (UK radio station) through iTunes please?

    Hi guys,
Does anyone know how I can add Jazz FM to my list of radio stations to listen to through iTunes?
I tried going to the website and copying and pasting what I think is the correct streaming URL into the 'Open Audio Stream...' option in iTunes. The radio station's name appears in the library but there is no sound and nothing appears to be happening.
    Hope you can help.
    Thanks.

    Hello, Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Are you using the following URL
    http://jazzstream.tlrc.net/jazzfmplayer/?region=4
From what I can tell. The website depends on Windows Media Player, Has a built in Web Player in their website. So it does not seem that this particular website has a link capable of broadcasting via iTunes via a stream as it depends on Windows Media Player.
You can contact the station and see if they provide an alternative link for iTunes or even submit a request to their web support team that this is something you would like to see.
You can also submit feedback to Apple and recommend Jazz FM as a station you would like to see listed as a choice of stations to listen to via the iTunes Radio
