How to load another internet browser (Curve 8330m)

How do I go about loading another internet browser?  I downloaded the Opera Mini and tried to make it as the default browser but couldn't seem to get it to work properly.
Can anyone point me to some documentation (nothing seems to be in the Blackberry Technical Solutions Center) or give me some step-by-step instructions on how to do this?

OK, sorry., I guess I misunderstood your initial question.
So what is NOT working.. you've installed Opera Mini and you open to use it.. what happens?
Details, please.

  • How can I add Internet browser back/forward buttons to the main toolbar?

    The developper of the software I'm testing manages to open
    web-pages in a window within our software. We find this a great
    feature, although it has one downside: no back/forward buttons the
    users have gotten used to thru standard Internet browsers.
    Is there any way to add these classic Internet browsing
    buttons to the main toolbar of a WebHelp output? I've noticed them
    on some other outputs (HTML-help if I'm not mistaken).
    I've noticed some similar topics in this forum, but the seem
    to discuss the browsing sequence buttons, which we find less
    usefull.
    Thanks for looking into this!
    Greetings,

    Hi Olivier
    Take a look at my Skinny on Skins file. There are

  • How to load another page in a frame?

    Hi!
    I have a frame with a page where is a button. I need to load another page in the frame when I click the button. How can I make it on the ADF? I work on JDeveloper 10.1.3.4.

    I found example. Thank you for help. Refresh works very well! This code:
        protected void refreshPage(String refreshpage) {
            FacesContext fc = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
            ViewHandler ViewH = fc.getApplication().getViewHandler();
            UIViewRoot UIV = ViewH.createView(fc, refreshpage);
            UIV.setViewId(refreshpage);
            fc.setViewRoot(UIV);
        refreshPage("/transfers/ClaimForm.jspx");

  • [S] How to load another keymap in initramfs with busybox (loadkmap?)?

    Loading programmers dvorak in initramfs with busybox.
    Solution:
    Download the keyboard map. Other keyboard maps you can usually find in "/usr/share/kbd/keymaps/"
    wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jiangmiao/dvp/master/dvp.map
    Now convert that map to the binary format that can be used with `loadkmap`. Make sure you run it with privileges, otherwise you'll get the "Couldn't get a file descriptor referring to the console" error
    sudo loadkeys -b dvp.map > dvp.bmap
    Now you can load that map in initramfs using `loadkmap`. I have a custom initramfs and init and here is the excerpt from it
    #!/usr/bin/ash
    echo "Starting the init script"
    #mount things needed by this script
    mount -t proc proc /proc
    mount -t sysfs sysfs /sys
    # and so on
    echo "creating the symlinks to busybox"
    /bin/busybox --install -s
    echo "loading programmers dvorak"
    loadkmap < dvp.bmap
    Problem
    I have a custom initramfs with Busybox in it. I want to load another keymap in there. Busybox has `loadkmap` utility, unfortunately it expects a binary file, so .map files don't fit in there. The goal is to load programmer's dvorak in busybox, but the problem is generic, because any ANSI .map format will not work with `loadkmap`.
    The map for dvp is here: https://github.com/jiangmiao/dvp
    Here it was talked about, but unfortunately the patch link is dead: http://mstempin.free.fr/index.php?2005/ … ry-keymaps
    How to load a keymap in initramfs with busybox?
    FTR, here is the quote from that blog post
    Unfortunately, This is not a trivial task in Busybox, as it uses a special binary keymap file format for specifying the keymap to use.
    The standard Linux way of handling keymaps is using the kbd utility package. This package contains most of the worldwide keyboard definitions in a keymap format. The two most usefull commands are the loadkeys and dumpkeys, which respectively loads an ASCII keymap file into the kernel's internal translation table and dumps this table to the standard output.
    Unfortunately, the keymaps file format (see Linux manual (5) for keymaps) is difficult to parse ,as it requires a full lex/yacc parser to handle it :-(.
    However, such a parser is included into loadkeys... And this utility also provides a -m option that generates a C-style output of the file...
    After studying Busybox's binary keymap format in details, it appears to be no more than just a file dump of all key translation tables for each state (ie. plain, shifted, controlled, etc.), preceeded by a binary map of translation tables.
    So, I decided to write a patch to the kbd package to add a -b option that provides a binary keymap dump capability to loadkeys. Here it is!

    Are you talking about displaying a webpage directly inside of an Oracle Form or simply opening a webpage (in a browser window) form a Form?
    If you want embed a webpage in a Form, then this can only be done by extending Forms functionality througha Java Bean.  Take a look at this Java Bean:  A Full Web Browser Java Bean .
    If you just want to open a web page from Forms the MST is correct.

  • How to change E71 internet browser settings?

    I bought a new E71 whilst visiting the UK and now using it in my home country in South America.  Wireless internet hotspots in my country require you to change your internet connections LAN settings within the internet explorer browser to "Automatically detect settings".
    I just need to know how to do that on the E71 because I am picking up Wireless Hotspots but cannot use them until the LAN settings are changed on the phone's browser!
    Is there any way I can do that? - HELP!

    Nokia's Wifi is set to automatically detect settings....
    However if you can't access the internet through it you might have to manual change the server ip address etc... but you need to know those details.
    On your E71 go to MENU - TOOLS - SETTINGS - CONNECTION - ACCESS POINTS - Select the access point you want to edit - OPTIONS - EDIT - OPTIONS - ADVANCED SETTINGS.
    But once again would require you to know the DNS etc settings.
    You might be better off knocking off the Wifi connections in your ACCESS POINTS (link above) and then setup the connection points again from the main screen.
    How do you connect to wifi in SA? Do you connect to the wifi and then a page opens up where you type your username & password? Or do you have a connection with a WPA type of key that you've already configured on your laptop?

  • Can another internet browser be installed on a 3GS ?

    Hi there,
    for some reasons I need to have two browsers on my iPhone (running 4.3.3).
    Anyone know if that is possible?
    Thanks,
    L

    Just type "web browser" into the search box in the AppStore.
    Personally, I use both iCab and Atomic.
    I'd suggest you start a new topic about the Hotspot feature, so that people familiar with that can help.

    Everytime I try to open firefox on my desktop it says "Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible." So now I cannot open firefox at all and I can't figure out how to get a profile. I just had to delete some programs to gain memory on my system and that is when the problem started. I don't have another internet program

    Hopefully this helps!

  • HT5730 After I installed 10.8.48.4 Internet browsing slowed down to the pace of a dial-up connection.  How can I get back to normal operating speed?

    After I installed 10.8.4, my Internet browsing slowed down to the pace of a dial-up connection -- unless it froze up completely.  How do I get my system back to a normal operating mode?  Can I dump 10.8.4 and go back to the one that at least worked?

    Please answer as many of the following questions as you can. You may already have answered some of them.
    1. Have you restarted your router and broadband modem since you first noticed the problem? If the answer is no, do that now and see whether there's any change.
    2. Are any other web browsers installed, and are they also slow?
    3. What about other Internet applications, such as iTunes and the App Store?
    4. Are there any other devices on the same network that can browse the Web, and are they also slow?
    5. If you can test Safari on another network, is it slow there too?
    6. If you connect to your router with Wi-Fi and you can also connect with Ethernet, do that and turn off Wi-Fi. Any difference?

  • How to Use another JSF page that I load by XMLHttpRequest?

    Hi everyone, I'm a newbie of JSF and curisous about how to load page content seperately by AJAX.
    I saw example of Java Blue Print. It's load some data to use in page. What I want is to load another JSF page when click a link or button, (Like include another page). And work with functions privoided by loaded JSF Page.
    My example is, In a main page. I request a JSF page and set it into a div layer.
    var requestURL = "/admin/customer/customer-list-body.faces";
    var content = postDataWithoutContent(requestURL);     divContent.innerHTML = content;
    All JSF components are required under <f:view>, thus action of form is set as "action='"/admin/customer/customer-list-body.faces'"
    But my page is main.jsp. Each time I click command button in customer-list-body.faces, the url will change to customer-list-body.faces, I want to request and hold in main.jsp.
    What can I do then? Any advices?

    Hi,
    the list doesn't seem to be your problem. You need to track down the illegal argument exception. Once you have that sorted out, expose the method on the AM so it gets shown as a method binding. The return values then could be picked up in a managed bean to create the select Item list
