How to load Elements 10 trial?

I'm sensing this is a dumb question with a simple answer... but I can't crack it. So, I downloaded the trial for photoshop elements 10 to my iMac (10.6.8), and when I open it, I open a bunch of folders, and I spent about half an hour clicking around in there, looking for the program, but without any luck. I also tried rebooting and reinstalling. Should it be so difficult to get the program to load? I'm no techie (obvs) and I'm accustomed to simply clicking on an icon to load a program. What am I missing here?

Hm. That doesn't sound familiar. What I'm seeing is a blue disc shaped
icon on my desktop which says photoshop elements 10. When I double click
it there are five icons to chose from - Adobe photoshop elements 10 (blue
square), and a bunch of Read Mes in various languages. When I click on the
elements 10 icon, I get 4 folders, Deploy, Install, Packages, and Payloads.
These are the folders I've hunted around in, trying to load the program
(and where I tried clicking on various dmg files). Incidentally, I've
installed the program twice.

I followed instructions to install elements 11 trial software. I was given a serial # and was never prompted to enter the number. What ,when and how do I do this now?

Hi kjbplumb,
When you launch the software it will prompt you to enter the serial number.
Else you can launch the application and navigate to the 'Help' menu at the top and select 'Activate'. The activation screen would come up seeking the serial number from you.
Enter the serial number and the trial would be converted to full version.

Have you applied the updates to Elements?
Try going to the Help menu and selecting Updates.
In the editor, go to the Help menu and select About Plug-ins -> Camera Raw to see which version you have installed - you need 6.3 or later.

How to load my Elements program on new notebook

The notebook has no CD reader so I copied the program onto a flash drive and loaded it that way. When I try to open it the 1st message is License Agreement. Accepting that pops up a "Your EULA has been declined. App cannot continue and must exit" followed by "User name, organization and S/N is missing. App must exit". I'd be happy to supply that info but there's no opportunity to do so. Any clues?

I have a new Lenovo Yoga running Win 8.1. I'm trying to load Elements 5 - I know that's old but perfectly sufficient for the photo use I have. I've just ordered a usb external cd/dvd player so I can utilize the original discs for several reluctant programs - Office, Word and a PrintShop.

I need to load a set of properties from a propertie file from inside and EJB. I need to do so that I don't set the full absoulte path of the property file. In brief I don't want to be dependent on the file system struture instead I want to read the property file relatively to the package path name.

How to load BeginningBalance and movements into HFM via FDM from ERPI

I have a file generated by ERPI with the columns of |AMOUNT|BEGIN_BALANCE_DR|BEGIN_BALANCE_CR|PERIOD_NET_DR|PERIOD_NET_CR|
among many other columns.
How can load them via FDM into the Custom1 dimension in HFM, which contains BeginningBalance, Additions, Disposals, etc.
So basically I will have a trial balance, which I can compare with GL and OBI.

Elements 10 trial doesn't show guided edit and other menus

I've just downloaded and installed the Photoshop Elements 10 trial for the second time.
I shut down my firewall and internet security while installing.
The program loads fine but when I click on Guided edit, the panel on the right is blank.
This is the same for Quick edit.
The help files also won't load.
I'm running a Windows 7 on a 64 bit machine.
Please help!

Try clicking the re-set panels button on the top menu bar and see if that makes any difference. Have you tried with an image open. Certainly the Quick edit module remains grayed out usually until you have a photo in the main window.
If that does not fix it you may need to rebuild the editor preferences to resolve any conflicts.
Hold down the Ctrl+Shift+Alt keys and simultaneously click on the Edit button on the welcome screen. Release the three keys and look behind the welcome screen by closing it.
You should see a pop up box with the words: Delete Adobe Photoshop Elements Settings File?
Click on Yes
Close down Elements and re-open it in the normal way - then wait whilst it rebuilds the preferences.

My suggestion is to create a new class that has a String (for your line of text) and an Image or ImageIcon for your picture. Store the instances of this class in the vector, and then add the appropriate part of the items in the vector to your list. Then you can just get the item in the vector corresponding the to index of the selected item in the list, cast it to your new class, and grab the String or the image as needed.
