How to load images when loading application from Jar
Hi,
my program runs fine and all the images load from within Netbeans but the images dont load when I run the application from the executable Jar I created.
In netbeans I used:
Image image = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage("images/fractions/image1.png");This works when run from netbeans but not from the Jar file.
I created the Jar file using Netbeans Clean and Build function. Should this include the image files (which are located in an image folder 1 directory below the src folder were the .java files are located) or do I have to somehow explicitly say that the Jar should contain the images? or is there another reason the images aren't loading?
Any help appreciated

In netbeans I used:

Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage("images/fractions

You should be use the getImage() method that takes a URL as a parameter and use the getResource() method of the class to get the URL to the Image:
URL imageURL = getClass().getResource("images/fractions/image1.png");
Image image = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage(imageURL);See:

You can start by looking at java.net.URLClassLoader. -
How to load data from a flat file which is there in the application server
HI All,
how to load data from a flat file which is there in the application server..Hi,
Firstly you will need to place the file(s) in the AL11 path. Then in your infopackage in "Extraction" tab you need to select "Application Server" option. Then you need to specify the path as well as the exact file you want to load by using the browsing button.
If your file name keeps changing on a daily basis i.e. name_ddmmyyyy.csv, then in the Extraction tab you have the option to write an ABAP routine that generates the file name. Here you will need to append sy-datum to "name" and then append ".csv" to generate complete filename.
Please let me know if this is helpful or if you need any more inputs.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities
The disc drive of the MacBook Pro does not support mini CDs, so you need to get an external DVD drive that supports mini CDs. After connecting it, insert the mini CD and install the application you want.
If you have got another PC with a DVD drive, you can use Remote Disc > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5287?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US -

I need how to load data from MS Excel(csv format) to NW Excel
Hi,
I am doing Migration project from SAP MS to NW Manually.
I need how to load data from MS excel (csv format) to NW excel .
For example 2008 budget data.
Could you please help me in this.
Thanks and Regards
KrishnaHi,
You need to create a transformation file and a conversion file if required. First upload the excel (csv) file into BPC using Manage Data and Upload File option.
Create the transformation file (refer to the sap help on how to define a transformation file). You need to specify the mapping correctly and include all your application dimensions and map them to appropriate columns of the flat file.
Before running the import package, do validate the data in the flat file you uploaded into BPC with the transformation file you created.
Thanks,

How to load data from Quikbooks into PeopleSoft General Ledger module ?
Folks,
Hello.
My client's data is currently stored in Quikbooks.
After install PeopleSoft FSCM 9.0, I need to load the data from Quickbooks into PeopleSoft General Ledger module. But I don't know how to use PeopleSoft Integration Broker to integrate with Quikbooks.
Can any folks tell me how to load data from Quikbooks into PeopleSoft General Ledger module ?Hi,
If the data load is one time process, then you can use PL/SQL or datamover to load the data to PeopleSoft application.
If you want to load the data in real time, then you need to create In-bound and out-bound nodes to perform the transaction.
Thanks

How to load data from a ODS to CUBE Request ID - by - Request ID?
<i>How to load data from a ODS to CUBE Request ID - by - Request ID?</i>
The problem is that... some requests had been eliminated of the cube and the delta control between the ODS and CUBE was lost. The flag "<b>data mart status of request</b>" of all the requests of the ODS had been blank.
Now it is necessary to load some requests from the ODS for the cube.
Notes:
- it is not possible to make a complete load selecting the data to be loaded;
- the PSA is not being used;
- considering the data volume it is impracticable to reload the cube completely.
Thanks in advance,
Wesley.Dear R B,
Considering the following:
-> the delta control was lost;
-> the data already are active in the ODS;
-> part of the data of the ODS already is in the cube.
The indicated procedure it only guarantees the load of the data that are in the ODS and that are not in the cube.
Tks,
Wesley. -
Loading resources from jar - problem
I've got a problem when loading resources from jar.
My code:
package game.player;
import javax.swing.ImageIcon;
import java.awt.Image;
import game.map.Map;
import game.map.MapReader;
import game.emptyclass.EmptyClass;
import java.net.URL;
public class Data
ClassLoader cl = EmptyClass.class.getClassLoader();
Image image1 = new ImageIcon(cl.getResource("data/sprites/man6.png")).getImage();
Image image2 = new ImageIcon(cl.getResource("data/sprites/man5.png")).getImage();
Image image3 = new ImageIcon(cl.getResource("data/sprites/man4.png")).getImage();
Image image4 = new ImageIcon(cl.getResource("data/sprites/man3.png")).getImage();
Image image5 = new ImageIcon(cl.getResource("data/sprites/man2.png")).getImage();
Image image6 = new ImageIcon(cl.getResource("data/sprites/man1.png")).getImage();
public Image tile1 = new ImageIcon(cl.getResource("data/maps/test/tile1.png")).getImage();
public Image bg = new ImageIcon(cl.getResource("data/maps/default/bg.png")).getImage();
public Map map = new MapReader(cl.getResource("data/maps/test/test.map").getPath()).getMap();
public int getImageWidth()
return image1.getWidth(null);
public int getImageHeight()
return image1.getHeight(null);
}I get a NullPointerException.
Thanks in advance!Hi ,
getResource() method argument is not begin with the
character '/' , ex.
Image image1 = new
ImageIcon(cl.getResource("/data/sprites/man6.png")).ge
tImage();
I thought of that, but it's not applicable here because getResource is being called on the ClassLoader, not the Class. -
Hi all,
My question is can we load library from jar file using System.load() method.
ex:
myJar.jar
|
|----com.test.common.Util
which conatins a method to load library from jar file itself, before that i used to load from File
|---libraries/MozillaParser/......
Iam able load from Local system,
File parserLibraryFile = new File("libraries/MozillaParser" + EnviromentController.getSharedLibraryExtension());
File mozillaDistBinDirectory = new File("libraries/mozilla.dist.bin."+EnviromentController.getOperatingSystemName());
MozillaParser.init(parserLibraryFile.getAbsolutePath() , mozillaDistBinDirectory.getAbsolutePath());
but i am unable to load from jar file
URL url = ClassLoader.getSystemClassLoader().getResource("libraries/MozillaParser" + EnviromentController.getSharedLibraryExtension());
URL url1 = ClassLoader.getSystemClassLoader().getResource("libraries/mozilla.dist.bin."+EnviromentController.getOperatingSystemName());
MozillaParser.init(url.toString(), url1.toString());
Thanks in advance.That's a really confusing post.
The easiest way to make sure you can use the classes in a jar file is to copy the jar file to the "/jre/lib/ext" subfolder of your JDK. These classes will be visible to all applications. -
Hi,
starting a couple of weeks ago, we get the following error(s) when running applications from a network share. We don't know what causes this, we are not aware of any major changes in our network infrastructure or client/Server configuration. We did upgrade
a lot of machines to Windows 8, but the issue also occurs on older Win7 computers.
We figured out a workaround though: The applications run fine when launching from a FQDN share (like
\\share.domain.Company.com) and only cause problems when running from
\\share directly. They have worked fine for years without FQDN though.
Any ideas?

>>The applications run fine when launching from a FQDN share
It sounds like a DNS suffix issue. When this issue occurs, please try to ping share on the client, then check if the corresponding IP address is correct. If the IP address is wrong, please adjust your settings of DNS to make sure that the client can resolve
the share correctly.
If it's very hard to change the settings of the DNS for some reason, as a work around, we can add the entry into the clients' hosts file.
Best Regards.
