Agreed. No native linux support. The only ways you could run iTunes with a primary linux system would be to a) dual boot, b) virtualize Windows with VirtualBox, VMware, etc., or c) attempt to run iTunes in Wine (which doesn't usually work very well). Dual boot would give you the benefit of complete support and usage of hardware and software, but virtualizing is a bit more convenient, since you would not have to reboot your linux host.

How to load iTunes with my playlists?
I accidently erased my HD by installing Leopard when it was already installed! The good news is that I have my Library backed up on an external hard drive and on DVDs. When I opened iTunes all of my playlists were gone, my Apple TV is not there either in the list. How do I get my iTunes back to how I had it?
I followed those directions to a "T", my entire library loaded up but none of my playlists came back. Also what am I supposed to do with the iTunes Music Library.xml file that I dragged to my desktop? Do I put it back in my iTunes Music folder or trash it?
Now I am afraid if I hook up my iPod its going to take away all of my playlists on there and put all the music in my big playlist. Also My Apple TV is not showing up either. -

If you have a song in your iTunes library, and need to find the file, right-click the library entry and use "Show in Windows Explorer." It will take you right to the folder!

I am trying to load iTunes and keep getting a error 126 and reinstall program. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice and keep getting the same error message. How can this be resolved?
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

Ok i have the Iphone 5c and a Dell laptop. I loaded Itunes to both i bought a digital copy of a movie. Loade it to my Itunes on the Laptop. how do i put it on my phone? I try to finish downloading or uploading it and it states interupted go click availble
iTunes and Apple's devices work as an ecosystem. iTunes is designed to sync with Apple's products, not anyone else's. You'll need your songs in a format compatable with the Samsung phone and to use the software transfer program supplied/recommended. It is essentially not an Apple/iTunes problem. You may have better luck finding the information you need on Samsung's forums.

You may be getting this message if you are trying to activate your new iOS device using an older instalation of iTunes on your computer.

Hello. I've seen on the internet that you can load itunes onto the PS3, but not how. Does anyone know if there is a special download you need?
Thanks for your help.There is no version of the iTunes application that will run on a PS3. Are you possibly talking about loading music you've purchased from the iTunes Store in to your PS3? Those instructions should be in the PS3 manual. As long as the tracks were purchased within the last two years, they should play fine. Older tracks with DRM will not work.
If the drive with your music on it shows up on your home wireless network, you may also be able to stream it through the PS3. -
ITunes worked fine on my Windows 7 machine. Had to rebuild the machine but all the data remains. Downloaded a new version of iTunes and cannot figure out how to load all of my music currently on my hard drive. Tried moving "iTunes Library" file. Did not work. Never had trouble like this before.
