How to load path names into next path?

Attached vi is a routine that is supposed to act as follows:
1) Open a file for manipulation and conversion.
2) Perform calculations to derive velocity and accel values from displacement (this part not shown for simplicity).
3) Open a new file path dialog box that is preloaded with the path as well as default filename (taken from the input file name).
4) Allow the option of changing or adding to the output filename (this made possible by using a 2nd dialog box).
5) Add the proper extensions to the filename and save 3 separate files.
What I have is a vi that asks for an input filename then automatically without user intervention, changes the extensions and saves the output files.
I need to be able to edit the base filname (without extension) before adding the correct extensions but my program does not produce a dialog box at save time.
I'm confident that I need to create another single dialog box for the output file and wire it to all three output file writes. I can't figure out a way to load the default filename into the dialog box or to even install a dialog box that will automatically pop up but not be shown on the screen. This whole vi has to be run as a sub vi and be invisible to the user
except the open file dialog which is a control that is passed to the sub. I think this has something to do with property nodes but I just can't get my hands around it. Could someone help me with this?

I tried it again, at least what I interpret that you are saying. I put a control on the front panel (I don't think I can put it in the block diagram). Here is the revised vi. It now opens my first input dialog box, processes the info and opens the newly added output file dialog box three times. Each time it is blank. Apparently I misunderstand you.
Using the file I provided, I run the pgm, select the input file dialog box and select "Input Data.txt"
After processing I want one single dialog box to appear with the default file "Input Data.txt". The method I used here invokes the dialog 3 times and there is no defualt name.

It's also important to 'prep' the excel file prior to connecting to it.
Give the data tab a meaningful name
Make sure the column headers are unique and that every column has a header
Delete any blank tabs
If you have trouble with Excel changing the data type of a field (say, a social security number you want to be a string value rather than a number so you don't lose leading zero) an alternative would be to save the spreadsheet file as a CSV, create a schema.ini to specify the data types for each column (example below) and use the same steps to connect except instead of choosing Excel 8.0, scroll to the bottom and choose Text. You have to make sure the CSV file is in the same folder as the schema.ini file that defines the columns.

How to load an image into blob in a custom form

Hi all!
is there some docs or how to, load am image into a database blob in a custom apps form.
The general idea is that the user has to browse the local machine find the image, and load the image in a database blob and also in the custom form and then finally saving the image as blob.

Hi, I created an manual DTP upload to my planning infocube and it works fine. The transformation rules convert 0CALMONTH into the relevant Calendar and Fiscal characteristics. So all of my Time Characteristics are fine, both Calendar and Fiscal.
However, When using the "How to load a file into BI-Integrated Planning and use WAD 7.0" solution, only the Calendar Characteristics are populated and not the Fiscal. The upload application somehow knows to populate the 0CALMONTH2, 0CALQUART1, 0CALQUARTER, and 0CALYEAR.
How can I get the upload to populate my Fiscal Period Characteristics?
Would it be best to modify the "Upload Application, or can I write a planning function to update the fiscal characteristics, or some other way?

My planning data is being uploaded via the SDN Planning File Upload Solution. What I did was end up modifiying the upload class ZCL_RSPLF_FILE_UPLOAD Method EXECUTE.
I added the following code if anyone is interested.

Hello,
We have followed the 'How to Load Flat File into BW-BPS using Web Browser' guide to build BSP web front-end to upload flat file. Everything works great but we have a requirement to populate the Planning Area Variables based on BSP drop down list with values. Does anyone know how to do this? We have the BSP coded with drop down list all we need to do now is populate variables. We can populate the variables through the planning level (hardcoded) but we need to populate them through the web interface.

Hello Gary,
We have acheived the desired result by not too a clean method but it works for us.
What we have done is, we have the link to load file in a page where the variables can be input. The user would then have the option to choose the link to load a file for the layout in that page.
By entering the variable values in the page, we are able to read the variables for the file input directly in the load program.
Maybe this approach might help.

Document will be of ASCII characters right?? but image data will be in binary format. as per database concept it is stored as binary large object. But in datawarehousing the back end is also going to be some database such as Oracle or other DBs.
which can take blob's. so it would be possible to store the binary data.
If any one has faced this situation can reply.to this ques.
can post the step to load image(jpg/bmp or any image format) data in to info cube??

aha, ok now i have a problem in duplicating nested movie
clips. like if i have made a movieclip using the code (lets name it
OUTSIDE) and another one inside(lets name it INSIDE) it, when i
duplicate the movieclip OUTSIDE the INSIDE one doesnt exist in the
new copy. i think the reason is something related to the depth but
i'm not sure where is the problem. here is an example:

I am loading data from flat file(TEST_GRET.DMP) to oracle table.
while the Target Oracle table has four coloumns, in which one is File_name.
I want to load the FILE NAME into that table too. as there is no ????

If you are loading multiple files using a single interface, using variables, Bhabani's first solution and my solution are good.
If you only have one interface with your datastore, you know the file name and it won't change, you can use Bhabani's second solution or mine.
I did not test my solution but it is quite simple to test.
Just put the code provided for the mapping of your target column.
This solution has the advantage it should always work.

How to load rm file into ordAudio column?

Hello everybody,
I made many attempts trying to insert aa.mp3(3.63Mb) and bb.rm(3.58Mb) file into ORDSYS.ordAudio column respectively with the same way.
the result is: aa.mp3 was inserted successfully, but the bb.rm was not. It showed the error message: "java.sql.SQLException:ORA-01401:inserted value too large for column"
Why? How can I insert *.rm into the ordAudio column?

The error you get has nothing to do with the size of the media data. The error you are getting has to do with another field somewhere I think. The error you say has nothing to do with media data, but regular SQL.
It all depends on where the error is... Do you get the error on the media.loadDataFromInputStream(fStream);? I suspect, you are getting the error on the insert. and that id or filetype are too big for the column.
Could you tell me where the problem occurs? On the first insert? on the update?? I really can't debug with the amount of information here.
In general, for debugging problems, you need to break it down smaller to find the errror.
Pleas break down your insert to find the problem.
2.Would you mind telling me more detail step or code for copying ordAudio data from table
to another table with the same ORDSYS.ordAudio column property?
One media column to another would simply be
select sound into soundvar from oldtable where .....
insert into newtable(newsound) values (soundvar) where ...;
If from a lob....
select lob into lobvar from....

How to Load an SWF into the Parent SWF

Hi all,
I have 3 SWFs.
X.SWF - Parent application. Contains an empty movie clip for
loading external swfs using loadClip() method.
B.SWF - Has some text and pics. Gets loaded into the empty
movieclip on X.SWF. Also has a button saying 'Load A.SWF'.
A.SWF - Similar to B.SWF with a button saying 'Load B.SWF'.
When I start the main application (X.SWF) and load B.SWF into
it all is fine.
But would like to click on the 'Load A.SWF' button on B.SWF
and load A.SWF into X.SWF. And visa-vesa.
The problem is I'm not able to refer to the parent container
(X) from these child (A and B) SWFs.
Is there any way to do this?

First if you use

the movie try to load swf into B.swf because "this" mean the
button.Try with more ._parent or just if you X.swf is into the one
MovieClip in 1st stage _level0.SWF.loadMovie();.Also if you want to
load the A,B.swf into the stage simultaneously just create two
movieclips into the X.swf mcA and mcB and the path has gone to
_level0.SWF.mcA.loadMovie("A.swf"); :)

How to load firmware maualy into 7960 Phone

First of all , forgive my silly question.
Is there any way to load the firmware unzipped file(cmterm-7940-7960-sccp.8-0-8.zip) into a 7960 IP Phone without having to access to a CCM or TFTP server? An alternative Cisco CallManager is not available to run the executable installer program and the IP phone is MGCP and need to load SCCP firware into it.

Ok i will explain you this how it works
First you will be require xml file while u have to get it when u make router as a CME server.
Just configure router as a CME server by telephony-service setup do any configuration once done to the last step it will create a xml file copy that xml file to one folder and open the same.
Now go to CCM server and check CCM is using which load through device default load
Then download the same load from Cisco.com and copy on the same folder where you have kept the xml.txt file open that xml.txt into notepad and try searching the phone model number e.g 7960 once u will find that u will see the load information which is there by default just change the load information parameter to yr load without .load extension
and save it
Now on yr ip phone point to yr LP tftp where that u have kept yr folder with xml.txt & firmware.
It will work without have yr Cisco Call Manager it will update the same firmware image.

How to load new hirearchys into BW system from R/3

For PROFIT_CT & 0Account Hirerachies in R/3 source system,
a new hirearchy has been added and this new hirearchy need to load into BW system as it doesnt exists in BW system.
But in infopackage selection this new hirerachy doesnt exists,hence I tried to find this new hierarchy by REFRESHING in Infopackage Hirerachy Selection tab.Even then this new hirearchy doesnt exists.
But this new hirerachies exists in R/3 source system.
Can anyone let me know how to load this

This Tcode KSH3 is for Cost Center Hierarchy but not for Profit center or Account .
I checked in KCH3 & KDH3 tcodes for Profit center or Account hirerachies in R/3,
Both the hirerachies are mentioned in top node in R/3
But still these hierarechies doesnt exists in IP in BW
Can you let me know little further
