Hi,
How to use/crawl PDF or Word documents as data readers and load it to bulk add/replace records to create dashboards with the data from PDF documents.
Suggest the better approach to go about using PDF documents.

Unable to load pdf documents on internet after downloading adobe reader XI

Hi,
I have just downloaded adobe reader XI. However when I try to load pdf documents off the internet there is an error message that says there is a problem with adobe reader with error 507:507. I am running on windows 7. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

my os is 32-bit windows 7 version 6.1 , i am using internet explorer 9. It works fine when i download it to my disk and open it from there.

I want process pdf document in clower ETL dataintegartor. I have created sample project and created ETL garph universal data reader, data i have imported pdf file, while openning the metta data information it's show encoding data format and invalid delimiter and while running error in the console
Please assist me how to process pdf file with unstructured data format.

Scan to pdf failed to load pdf document (wireless)

I have a photosmart d110a and I cannot scan wireless to PDF file (get error failed to load pdf document)
I am able to scan to JPEG,
This has always worked before.
This is on multiple computers: ChromeOS, and Mac operating systems.
I have checked to see if software update to date and it is.
I have unplugged printer to see if that would help and did not.
Printing works fine with no problems.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Tom - Due to feature limitations, the abilities you are looking for don't appear to be available with this printer. I would recommend a USB connection to scan.

How to link PDF document in Report Layout??

I need to display the contents of PDF document after the form letter report. I tried OLE object but at the runtime it does not display the content. Does any one knows how to attach PDF document in reports layout?

you will have to concatinate your report output with the static PDF document. in reprots 10g you can create a cusotm destination that could implement this functionality.
out of the box, reports does not provide the ability to add static content in PDF to reports' generated PDF output.

Any updates to the OP's question? I'm with a large government agency, and we're moving away from GoodReader for reasons I can't go into here, and the ability to add user-defined bookmarks within the app is a mandatory feature for the document reader we select. I have the latest version of Adobe Reader (11.6.1) installed on my government iPad, and the ability to add user-defined bookmarks still seems to be missing. Does Adobe have any plans to add this feature, or is it already present and I'm simply overlooking it?

Have you tried FOXIT? I think there is a trialversion. I tried Adobereader 2.5 but there is still no option to print.

Failed to load PDF document

I downloaded the trial version of Acrobat X. I have a couple of documents to load on a website. If the .pdf documents are created in word or from a file there is no problem. They up load and download just fine. If I scan them in Acrobat X, they are created fine but after loading to the website it gives the " Failed to load PDF document" error when I try to download them. If I view it from the website using Filezilla it views just fine. It won't load using Chrome, IE8 or Firefox. Any suggestions?

Edit: I exported the document to word from Acrobat, then saved it as a pdf in Word, lodaded it to the web. It downloads fine. I have run the "fix Acrobat" file.

I observe that you have declared lv_xml_data as TYPE xstring & string and get_data method probably expects data of xstring type.

Coldfusion 11 cfheader or cfcontent 'failed to load PDF document'

I have a website that worked fine with Coldfusion 10 and now I have updated to Coldfusion 11 and this code doesn't work:

If I type in the URL directly to the PDF file it loads fine, but if I try to get it through this code then I get the message "failed to load PDF document". Even if I change the code to allow me to save the file, I get a saved file but it won't open in acrobat.
I know the code is working code, I tried it with Coldfusion 10 again just to make sure. Something about 11 is stopping it from working. Any ideas?

How to load a document in Muse without linking it to anything?

I would like to load some documents to Muse before linking them to anything. Is there a way to do that?
So far I have been writing text and linking a new file / document from my computer to that text..... but I don't really need that text as I just need the document to modified an HTML and include it in table later on...

Document should be on the server at some www.baseaddress.com/WT_Intro.txt.
Assuming your XML is also on the server...
Make the call to load the XML, parse the XML and get the url for the text file.
Also Here you can read the names and pus them into an array list
arraycollection: {"Name":value};
For each url retrieved from the xml make a new call to the server and loat the
txt. On the response you should have the text. (It is better to make the calls
chained one after each other, since the response come back asynchronously, e.g
on the response of one call make another call...)
The names retrieved already can be passed as a dataProvider to a button bar
component.

One quick question, where have you stored the PDF? is it in MIMEs folder ?
You have 1 of these 2 options to choose:
1. Get the PDF data in Byte format, fetch the absolute URL and display it in an iFrame UI Element.
2. Set the property of Adobe Interactive form UI elemets property -
mode = usePDF Mode (This mode value does not change the original PDF document. The data source and the template for the creation of the PDF document are ignored)
pdfSource = Path to the context element containing the PDF document.

Open Reader by itself (look for its icon in the Applications folder, and double click on it), this should show you the EULA.
