There are a couple of methods for using more than one iPod on a single computer. Tony, Make sure you are in Songs view. Then View > Show View Options, and check the boxes for "Bit Rate" and "Sample Rate." See picture:

Backup iTunes and the media on your computer the same way you would any other data on your computer.
External hard drives are a good option, copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder to the external drive.

You don't as far as I know. Windows Media Player is the proprietary player for windows devices, iTunes is the proprietary player for stuff purchased from iTunes.
The only way you can get files to freely transfer between the two programs is if they are not purchased from either service, but are ripped from a CD you own. Downloaded files have DRM (digital rights management) embedded in them that often restricts what you can/can't do.

I went to the support tab on the itunes page to search for ways to download itunes to windows because i tried pressing the download now button but nothing happened. No window popped up asking to run or save program as usual. Someone else was having the same problem so i reviewed the answers they have gotten. I guess i am running a newer software then them because turning off my anti virus and pop up blocker is not an option. please someone have a solution to my problem.
