Hi,
Here are some workbook tcodes, tables and an OSS note ....
RRMX_WORKBOOKS_GARBAGE_COLLECT -- identifies and removes orphaned workbooks.
RSWB_ROLES_REORG -- deletes favorites attached to deleted workbooks.
OSS Note 385219 -- identifies many workbook cleanup programs.
Table RSRREPDIR -- Directory of all reports -- queries and query components only.

  • How does location services work?

I recently found an app called "mapswithme" and basically it downloads maps and I can use it offline. I don't really care about the criticism about how apple maps suck because I personally don't use the 3D features. I can drive perfectly fine even without that 3D or the routing, I just don't want to pay extra for 3G or 4G or LTE or whatever you want to call it because I have no use for it except on maps; which is stupid because "mapswithme" can download an entire country's map for free. Will location services still work even if I don't have 3G and Wi-Fi on, and only relying on cellular data? FOR EXAMPLE: I have a SIM CARD on my iPhone with "GSM only", will location services still be able to find my position? I have heard of others being able to see the blue dot(which represents where your location is) and grey background(which represents that maps has not yet been cached because of no internet) previously on iOS 5 on google maps. Because if it will work, then the grey background won't be a problem because the entire country's map is already downloaded and I do not need 3G service anymore, I only need the location services.
*PS: I am considering buying an iPhone 5 and I have never owned an iPhone before, just iPods. If location service will not work relying only on cellular data then I wont buy and iPhone anymore. PHP50,000 is a heavy price to pay for an iPhone here in the Philippines and I don't want to waste money.
*PPS: There is also a 4G LTE plan here in the Philippines, but I still have to pay around PHP2000 to PHP4000 every month aside from paying the iPhone, which is again wasting money because I will only need the internet service on iPhone on maps.
*PPPS: No, I don't use Twitter and I only visit Facebook for the notifications. I don't use Weather, Stocks, Game Center, Mail, FaceTime and other apps from Apple that do not make sense. I have a computer at home and I can do internet surfing there. I also don't plan on jailbreaking because there are a lot of paid apps that become free on App Store every week.
I really need help on this one. It would change my overview on whether I would buy just an iPod touch or an iPhone 5.
    Thank you for your replies.

I see, the app does require data connection but only on the first use because it still needs to me to pick which map of a country I want to download. Other than that, it does not require internet connection at all, only GPS. I first saw this app on my friend's android device, he only had GPS turned on. 3G and Wi-Fi were turned off and still worked. It could point his position and maps were not a problem because it had already downloaded the whole country's map.
This really helped me. Thank you.

You don't in the condition it's in. You will either have to get the phone replaced by Apple or pay a 3rd party to repair it.
there seriously should be more than two ways to solve this other wise apple is useless and we will never buy another apple product.
    Seriously? It's physically broken!

  • Just got a new mac - how can I keep working on my old iWeb site??

    Hi friends,
I just migrated all my old data from an external hd onto my new MacBook. I see my website data, and I put it in the Sites folder, but opening iWeb prompts me to start a new website. How do I continue working on my website, i.e., open my old files in iWeb?
    Thanks!

iWeb '08 stores your website data in a domain.sites2 file located in Home Folder/Library/Application Support/iWeb.
You need to copy this to the same location on your new Mac and then double click the domain file to launch iWeb for the first time only. After that you can launch your site from the application.
If you open a new site in iWeb first you can save the blank domain file in a new folder for starting new sites.

  • How does point system works?

    Dear all,
I am wondering how this point system works? I had 915 points this morning and now end up with 905. Instead of going up, it fluctuates from time to time. Initially, it use to show up next to my name with 915 but then that went down to 514???
Is it only me or someone else has seen this behaviour?
I am not points buff but it seems pretty strange that one day infact in the same day the numbers fluctuates like they do in stock exchange.

Nope, in this case, Kartik already has "the hard way" behind him.
During an investigation into a nest of points gamers in October last year, Kartik was investigated as well for having for having participated in one of the threads. There were many being investigated. Other symptoms matched (we have some strict rules for this) - so the mistake was perhaps understandable - but on the other hand I should perhaps have looked a bit further to see that Kartik's post patterns were different to those of the others (who were not located very far away from Kartik..).
Anyway... as they faded away into the annual ponits total of those who are being transported into the world where the A.G. calendar is used ( Anno Guestus ) ... Kartik's ID faded away with them.
Kartik contacted me about it and I took his word for the expanation that he was not involved. I am very glad that I did that, as he has been a big help in the ABAP forums.
I don't have the exact figures, but last I heard we have deleted more than 50 thousand user ID's for ponits gaming. I am always very carefull when investigating this and there are other people who check it as well before any action is taken.
To date, to my knowledge, Kartik has been the only mistake we have made. Others have begged for mercy, but that is different. Hence my comment that he should wear the difference like a "battle scar" caused by the "journal entry", until Micheal can possibly fix it.

My guess is that you won't be able to do much if you threw away the serial number before using it.  The serial number will not have been externally visible on the box though... doing that would make it available for use by anyone who sees the box in any store.
    To locate the serial number:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html
If you remain unable to locate the serial number you might need to head back to wherever you purchased the product to confirm whether or not you might have thrown out the serial number or if it could even possibly have never been provided.
Beyond that you need to resolve serial number issues with ASdobe Support directly.  Here is a link for chat:

  • How does relative RPATH work ?

    Hi,
    I'm using ld 5.8-1.294 on solaris 8.
I have a shared object with the following traits:
    - run location: /net/A/B/C/D/E/libx.so
    - install location: /net/a/b/c/libx.so
    - dynamically depends on: /net/a/x/y/liby.so
If I need the runtime loader to find liby.so without having to specify a absolute search path (in production software /net/a will be replaced by another location, for example), then should this be the correct options on link line:
-R../../x/y -ly // relative to the location where libx.so resides
    or is it:
-R../../../../../a/x/y -ly // relative to the location where libx.so is run from
If the latter is correct, then how do you suggest that we record relative search path information since the location where the pprogram/library is invoked from is not going to be known to the person building the program/library.
    Thanks for help,
    Prabal.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the prompt response!
However, I don't think $ORIGIN can help much here.
Let us say, the producion software is installed at:
    /net/cad-org/platform/tools/lib/libx.so
    and it depends on:
    /net/cad-org/platform/tools/utils/lib/liby.so
The user can run the software from any place and provided the program that loads libx.so does so by an explicit dlopen (it can figure out the path to x.so by backtracking to the installation root - /net/cad-org/platform/tools in this case), then there is no need so far to know anything about the "current location".
However, since libx.so does not dlopen liby.so, but instead loads it via the runtime loader, the relative position of liby.so w.r.t the "current location" (or, working directory, where the program is run from) is no longer constant. Instead it depends on the current location. So, I don't see how $ORIGIN would help here.
Please correct me if I missed something here.
    Thank you,
    Prabal.

  • How to locate files

    Hello,
I am new to Aperture, I am trying to keep all my pictures on an external drive connected to my iMac, in addition work on them via share with my MacBook. My question is how do I verify within Aperture of the location of an entire Project or a individual photo? And when importing do I need to double check any settings to make sure that any new imports are being saved to the external hard drive?
    Thank you,

Thank you for replying to my question. I still do not understand how to locate file, I did not see or could not find any Destination Project in the Import panel on the right side. I admit I am not even sure where the Import Panel is either. I found how to see Project Path, but even when looking at that I could not figure out how to see the entire path name. I wish there was a way to click on the picture and have it open in location folder. I do need to verify where my files are before continuing. I am new to Mac and Aperture, I have been over 15 years of pictures that I am finally trying to organize and I realize I do have duplication, but I do not want to delete anything until I am 100% sure of what I am doing

  • How DHCP scope will work between two Wireless contoller

    Dear All,
I would like to inform you that we are going to deploy Wireless Network with redundancy of Wireless LAN Controller and we need to figure out how DHCP scope would work during fail over  any one of Wireless LAN controller and DHCP Server .I have two site where Two Differenet DHCP Server would be palced with different DHCP socpe. So My query is that if Site-A(according to attached diagram) DHCP Server and controller fails how Wireless  client will take the DHCP scope from Site-B(according to attached diagram) DHCP Server as it has been configured different DHCP Scope. Can any one tell me whether i can configure same DHCP Scope at Both Site's DHCP Server.
Is there any way to configure same DHCP Scope for two sites. For your infromation client wants two Different DHCP Server with different scope for Two Site and how redundancy would be ensured if any one WLC or DHCP goes down.
I am eagerly waiting for your reply as early as possible. Please help to figure out the solution.
I am going to attached Sample Design for your reference.
    Thanks and regards
    Erfan

    Erfan:
My query was that if one wireless client already associated
WLC-A with one IP block of Location-A (DHCP Server) using SSID named TEST. If DHCP-A or WLC-A goes down then how that same client would associate with WLC-B and get the IP Block from Location-B (DHCP Server) using same SSID name TEST.
In this case the clinets connected to the APs in location A will disconnect (if the WLC went down) and they have to connect again when the APs join WLC-B. They will get IP address from location B block then.
If DHCP went down when new clinets try to connect the primary DHCP is down so they are referred to the secondary DHCP. connected clinets will disconnect only when their DHCP lease times out. They will try to renew but the DHCP server is not available. They will disconnect then and connect again and getting IP from B site.
    1. How we will create same policy for that two different block using same SSID.
    what policy? where?..etc?
    2. client would be connected with Access point but they will get the IP through VLAN interface of the Controller and we have to assign IP helper address in the interface vlan.So how the the client would get the IP block if we assign two IP helper address in the interface vlan in case of failure of DHCP and WLC of one location.
    3. If we assign two IP helper address then which DHCP Server will release the IP for client and we can make delay between two DHCP Server to release the IP address.
If two IP helpers are configured the switch will send them both the client's request and they client receives two offers. The clients chooses one of the offers. Usually the clinet will accept the faster DHCP server to respond.
If you are using the DHCP on the WLC then it is different. The WLC will always try to reach the primary DHCP server as long as it is reachable. If the primary DHCP is not reachable then it falls back to the secondary DHCP server.
Note that when you use IP helper then you usually disable DHCP Proxy feature on the controller. Do you have it disabled?

We have 2 locations using formscentral one location is working fine but the other location is experiening slow response (up to two hours) or the form not displaying? What should be looked at?
    Thanks
    Carleen

Can you describe what you mean by "experiencing slow response"? Do you mean that you don't see the new responses as they come in? Does it takes up to two hours before they show up in the View Responses table when they show up immediately at your other location? And what do you mean but "the form not displaying"? Are you talking about the fillable form or the editable form in FormsCentral?
Can you please add me as co-author ([email protected]) of the form so that I can investigate on my side.

  • SAP CRM - How does Communication Station work?

    Hi Experts,
Can anybody tell how the communication station work in SAP CRM?
For example if the service agent has performed the service at the field or customer location and uses the mobile client device to confirm the service, how does the data gets synchronised with the CRM server? How the connection to the communication station work?
    Thanks a lot!
    Regards,
    Swathi

    Hello Swathi,
Commstation sits between your mobile client and CRM server and acts as a channel of regulating  the data exchange.
On your mobile client, the application data is saved in IDES and when you need to sync that data with the CRM server, you need to run Conntrans.
Conntrans first connects with Commstation(which is a separate system) and then commstation allows conntrans to sync the data with Server. Commstation is basically a system which hosts a SAP CRM Transfer Service(a COM+ application).
On your client system, the first thing that conntrans does is initialize this transfer service on commstation and then the further data exhcnage takes place.
Commstation also doesn't allow CRM to be loaded with synchronization requests from several client machines. Imagine 1000 conntrans users sync the data with the same CRM server at the same time. Now you don't want the CRM server to be unnecessarily loaded with such sync requests. To limit this data exchange wherein only several(lets say 10) clients are allowed to sync the data via conntrans at 1 time, commstation comes in handy. As and when 1 conntrans session finishes and resources are deallocated on commstation, another client system can sync the data.
In the dcomcnfg->COMApplications->SAP CRM Transfer Service, right click and check the properties. Resource pooling is handled via this COM application on Commstation.
Hope that explains the function of Commstation to you
    Thanks,
    Rohit

  • Any ideas or thoughts on how to locate JUST the iTunes music?

I’d like to know if there is a way to run a program/script to identify the songs purchased from iTunes only?
I have my CD’s uploaded digitally to an external drive and purchased iTunes songs and I’m trying to organize what I have.
Any ideas or thoughts on how to locate JUST the iTunes music?

Found a solution, but it's not ideal or what I was really requesting. However it will work for now.
Add the "Kind" column and sort by "ACC Purchased audio file" and you can get what you need.
I was really looking for a shell script to do this.... If anyone has a way of doing this let me know.

  • How the star schema works

How the star schema works – Make A Simple Query – “Show me the revenue for customers  located in Sacramento for the Material Group ‘Electronics’ in the month of October”  - Sequence the order of execution
    a.     Access the Fact Table
    i.     Select all the records in the Fact table which have meets the given criteria
    b.     Access the Dimension Table
    i.     Access the customer dimension table and select all the records with city =”Sacramento”
ii.     Access the material dimension table and select all the records with Group =”Electronics”
iii.     Access the Time dimension table and select all the records with Month =”October”

    Kutti,
Your explanation is in the opposite way -
access the Dimension tables and find the relevant DIM IDS for the given conditions --> search for the DIM IDs in the fact ...
You cannot hit the fact directly since the DIM IDs will not be the same as SIDs unless you are talking about line item dimensions...
best way is to have a query on a cube - execute it through RSRT and in the execute and debug option - select "Display SQL Query" and there you can see the query being run..

  • How does Internet access work once I leave home?

Do I need to subscribe to a wireless broadband deal- such as BT's Openzone- in order to access the Internet on my macBook when I'm away from home ... or can I depend on dialling my ISP via a phone socket? How does Internet access work once I leave home?

BT Openzone looks a lot like T-Mobile wireless here in the States. I've got a T-Mobile account and password. When I go into a location that has TM, I open up my MacBook and look under my AirPort menu icon to select the TM network. Then I enter my account name and password and go.
Of course TM isn't everywhere, just as BT's service isn't. When I'm in a location that doesn't have it, how I connect depends on what does exist. I always travel with an ethernet cable because many hotels don't have wireless but do have ethernet connections. I've not had to resort to modem service is more than 5 years.
