You probably have data corruption. You may want to do a Restore, as the simplest fix. The Restore button is on the iPod's Summary screen in iTunes. It will erase the iPod, reinstall its software, and set it to default settings. All data will be erased, including whatever is taking up space as "Other."

25GB of not-visible files on bootdisk after backup-how to find and delete?

After backing up my iMac G5 internal HD to an external Firewire HD, the internal HD has accumulated an extra 25 Gigabytes of hidden/invisible files.
** How can I locate and delete presumably unnecessary hidden files?
iMac HD had 100GB used. I used Carbon Copy Cloner to clone iMacHD to iMac backup, which had been zeroed with Disk Utility. After several failed partial clones using CCC, I erased iMac Backup -without zeroing- MacOS Extended (not journaled), and successfully made a bootable clone, excluding only .Spotlight-V100
Did the failed clone attempts create hidden temporary files? Each time I tried, I would get more folders cloned, including the files at which it had hung, without error messages (mostly).
Visible folders total 95 GB -exactly the same on Imac HD and iMac backup
Using
sudo ls alh /.Spotlight-V100
.Spotlight-V100 totals 185 MB on IMac HD
Just before the above history, iMac HD had been zeroed, Tiger reinstalled, updates taken, and other data restored using Migration assistant, from iMac Backup, which had been the boot disk because iMacHD had twice, in the last 6 months, developed bad disk sectors ( invalid leaf count in Disk Utility, surface scan errors in Techtool Deluxe. iMac HD has just passed both those tests, for now.)
If this happens again, Applecare promised me I get a new HD.
(Applecare Australia works the same hours I do M-F, so I get to talk to them only on Saturdays)

I restored the phone so had no apps on it at all and there was still this certain amount of space used up by documents ! I've already had it in to the apple store and they didn't seem to have a clue either ! Ugh ! ICCID unknown is a critical failure, usually caused by hacking or jailbreaking the phone. It can not be fixed. The phone will need to be replaced.

HELP!! How can I find and delete duplicate mp3 files.

I have a zillion copies of songs and I want to find and delete duplicate mp3 files. I have used MediaRage to find the duplicate files (16 thousand or so) but it can't delete them. It will take a million yrs to delete them manually. Does anyone know a way to do this quickly or a program that will do this for me. I have a 15 in Powerbook with OS 10.5.3

Temp/Cache files in OAS/FORMS

Hi,
I'm running out of disk space in an old server and, after searching for the biggest folders, I found two that take most of the space:
C:\app_1\application1 ----> In this folder there are other subfolders (cache, fmb, fmx, icon, lib, mmb, mmx, rdf...), being cache the biggest one.
C:\oracle\ora806\FORMS60 ----> There are lot of files here, having random names starting with s (s43o.5, s1ak.6, and so on)
Do you know if it's safe to delete those (apparently) temp/cache files in cache and forms60 folders?

How to archive and then delete these messages ?
Does accumalation of past messages affect the speed and performance of the system?

Steps to create an Endeca Application are clearly given in Getting Started Guide.

If you want to create an endeca application so as to integrate with Product Catalog system such as ATG using ATG 10.1.1 or above , then create an endeca application using the discover-data-catalog-integration reference application. Steps for doing this are documented in ProductCatalogDTGuide

To delete an Endeca Application that you have created in Windows/linux
1. Navigate to the control directory of the application that you want to remove and execute the script
runCommand.bat --remove-app (Removes the provisioning information with EAC admin console)
2. Remove the instance configuration files for the application using the emgr_update command line utility
emgr_update.bat host localhost:8006 app_name My_app action remove_all_settings prefix My_prefix
3. You can then explicitly delete the directory in the Endeca_apps directory where you have initially created your application.
If you are using discover-data-catalog-integration, you can remove the CAS Record Store Instances by navigating to CAS/bin directory and executing
./component-manager-cmd.sh delete-component -n {YOUR_APP_RECORD_STORE_NAME}

How to insert and delete fragments by clicking a button and how to script it?

I have a question on livecycle. I am collecting the inventor information as a bunch of text fields, each asking for a certain details. Please see below
Now I have grouped them all in to one fragment called inventordetails and saved as .xdp file, so I could reuse this entire block. I want to add a button underneath this block, “ADD MORE INVENTORS” and when clicked this will insert another block and so forth and so on. However I was not sure as to how to insert and delete a fragment. Do you think you can help with this? I appreciate any help in this regard.

1.       I have a subform1 which is flowed
2.       I have subform2 inside subform1 which is positioned
3.       Inside subform2 I have two buttons 1. ADD INVENTOR 2. DELETE INVENTOR
4.       Also inside subform1 I insert a fragment called inventor
Now I want to script the buttons so that when clicked the inventor fragment either gets inserted again or deleted.
I greatly appreciate any help in this regard.

How to REMOVE AND DELETE saved customizations applied to different accounts

I have created and saved a customization called *'Hidden Graph'* through the front end (under page options)
I saved this customization against different application roles (BI Consumer / BI Author)
Now I No longer need to apply customiaztiion *'Hidden Graph'*
Can someone tell me where these customizations are saved so I can REMOVE AND DELETE it ?

To find the location and deleting from catalog, try to use catalog manager and use search xml for text 'Hidden Graph'
You can find them in sub folders of _selections folder in catalog
ex:
\users\weblogic\_selections
Just in case if you want to delete then you can do finding files like
Hidden+Graph
Hidden+Graph.atr
Nowhere mentioned deleting other than clearing check this doc once
