How to Locate organizational unit ?

hi all!
I am trying to assign my ZPROFILE to my organizational unit.
now the problem is i do not know that is my org unit.is there a way by which i can figure it out.
any help wud be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sachin,
You have the partner no. with you right.
Goto the table BUT000 and enter the partner number to get the partner guid.

What you said is absolutly correct. I realized that a bit later, those org, structures and Business Partners need to be created in all environment and started doing it.
could you please clarify one more thing, i have created organization determination rules for sales and service organization determination.
Since i dont have ABAP knowledge i saved those rules under $tmp package. Now those rules cant be transported.
Is there any other way to reassign the package and do the transports.

Hi,
You need to create assignment between Org object type and org unit. Use txn PFOM - Create Assignments for the same.
You can then try the std rule 30100012 also.

How to link Organization Units and Entities in Oracle Designer 9i 9.0.2.8 ?

Hi,
I am working with Oracle Designer in a project where we need to asses the Business Process Model of the customer, mapping it in Oracle Designer.
The Customer wants to see the relationship between Business Entity and Organization Units and Processes.
We are following this approach:
- define Entity
- define Organization Unit
- draw process models with Oracle Designer Process Modeler, defining the single process steps and indicating the Organization Unit who performs that activity;
- draw a Data Flow Diagram for each Entity with Oracle Designer Data Flow Diagrammer, including the business function we have defined as process steps within the Process Modeler.
Process Modeler allows us to link process steps to Organization Units, while Data Flow Diagrammer links Entity to business functions ( which are equal to our process steps). So we expect that for the "transitive properties" Organization Units should be linked automatically to Entity.
At the end, using Oracle Designer Matrix Diagrammer we only see the relationship between Business Functions and Entity and not the one between Organization Unit and Entity .
In fact, if we open Object Repository Navigator and check the property "Business Unit Entity Usage" of the Business Unit, there is no evidence of the entity related to the business function performed by the Organization/Business Unit.
Could someone helps us to understand how to use correctly the Oracle Designer Tools ?

I would recommend the 10g version anyday over the previous versions. If you use any of the other supporting apps (forms, reports, portal....) your already at a much better release :)
Is there a reason you would want to use the prior version?

My business requirement need to create a Organization unit with a customised report.
That customised report need to be developed in which i will be incorporating the code to create a new orgganization unit in sap
and also to assign it in the organization structure.
Please suggest me the Function Module to create it...or any sort of Standard report which is already doing that

If I understand you correctly, you want to create a PROGRAM to create an Organization Unit (IT1000) and it's relation to it's parent Org.Unit (IT1001 with relation A_002).
Check out program RHCOPY00, and create a Z version adapted to your needs.

Hi Solani,
You were getting the error beacuse we don't have any field like org unit in the Contract Document and the method you used is not there in the API's.If you want to access the Master Agreement Org unit in Contract document then you have to get the MA bean and then you can fetch Org unit in your contract document.
Code as follows:-
masterBean = doc.getParentIBean();// to get the MA bean
orgunit = masterBean.getOrganizationalUnitRef(); //this wil give the orunit of the MA
businessUnitHome=IBeanHomeLocator.lookup(session,orgunit);
businessUnitBean=businessUnitHome.find(orgunit);

How to change organizational unit .

I have a rule in which some responsibilities are defined. Could anyone please tell me how to change the values in the Rule like I want to change the persons listed there to someone else.
Also if there is any way to change the organizational structure and what will be the steps.

Hi
To change rule go to PFAC and make copy of this rule.Later go to edit mode and change it (eg Function module that is used there or values in container tab).
To change rule result you can also in workflow schema change Binding between rule and task (you will find there import parameters that influence rule result).
to change organizational structure (eg in SAP CRM) you have to go to tcode ppoma_crm and make changes.
later launch special report to attach those changes to transport.

Hi. It might be a bit tricky, but if you go to transaction PP01, select org unit and stick the org unit number in, then highlight "Relationships" and press change.
There is a field called "Priority" at the bottom.
When you move up and down in rank it is this field that gets changed.
If you can put in a prioity higher than the place you want it to be in the org structure, it will move.
I would try this in a test system first to try and get a feel for it.

Organization Unit Replication..

Hi All,
 we are doing upgrade srm3.0 to srm5.0.
i am facing a problem in Organization unit in srm5.0.
my question is how to replicate organization unit between two SRM systems, say for example. SRM3.0 instance is 'A' and SRM5.0 instance is 'B'.
is there any way or t.code avilable to replicate all organization unit from 'A' system to 'B' system.
generally when i create new organization in any system, transport request will not ask so i cant do by transport request, then how can we replicate organization unit between two system.
please this is very urgent one.

Organizational unit transfers ,how to deal with the person in it ?

if an organizational unit has been transfered to another upper organizational unit ,and there are already persons assigned to different positions of it,so how to deal with this problem?are those person's IT 0000,0001should be changed too?and how to maintain this kind of change?is a personnel action necessary?or there is some other more efficient way for it?

In IT0001 You have a Position which is linked to a Org unit. If you want to change the org units reporting relationship then you have to change it in OM by creating a new relationship with the upper org unit.
All the person are assigned to position so nothing needs to be done in PA.

How do I activate the object history for an organizational unit ?

Dear experts,
we're using organizational units, positions, persons and users of the
organizational management (Transactions PPOCE and PPOME) for
the determination of (possible) agents in our Workflows.
The objects seem to have an object history, at least you find such an
option in the "find by" window on the left hand side of the maintenance
transactions, but in our system there are no entries and I can't figure
out how to activate history entries to be written.

Hi,
In OM all relation have a validity. I think you mean this with object history.
If you double click an organizational unit for instance and then open the detail tab (if it wasn't open already)
there you'll see Valid On with todays date this is the date which is used for determining the organizational structure, also you'll see No Periods with a green square to the left of the text.
Just above the text Valid On, you'll see a button, when you click on the display periods button you can change the date to see what the relation of the object was at that time.
You can also search the HR forum for more on organizational management.
