    Hi,
In tcode SPAD, goto "Utilities --> For device types --> Import".
There are specific notes regarding specific manufactures, search the SAP portal for notes in application area BC-CCM-PRN-DVM.
Check SAP Note 8928 for a start.

You will need to create separate device types for each printer family installed at your installation or if each printer family require either simplex or duplex printing.
    1. Go to ‘Spool Administration screen’ by using transaction code SPAD from the initial screen of SAP.
    2. From the SPAD screen choose menu path Utilities-->for device types --> IMPORT (or you can run RSTXSCRP program from SE38, too).
    3. In the initial screen of “SAPscript Export to Dataset/SAPscript Import from Dataset” enter the following:
    a) Check Radio button for device type.
    b) In the Object Name field enter object name of the device type file (please see the table at the end of this document for object names)
    c) MODE must be IMPORT
In the Ctrl parameters for file operation
    d) Check radio button for "From/on frontend" ( Generally this would be the default)
That's it. Don't enter anything else. Execute by clicking execute button or function key F8.
    4. In the “Create Object Directory Entry” window that pops up, enter your development class and press enter
    5. You will get a pop up Window “Import from a Local File”. Browse through the Window to enter the filename in your local directory and click ‘Transfer’ button.

  • How to uninstall print drivers Canon MF4150 issues

Hello all, I am having a nightmare of a time getting my Canon MF4150 to print. It looks from all of the threads on here it was a less than ideal choice for a Mac owner.
When I first bought the unit I managed to get it to print, everything seemed peachy.
Problems arose when I wanted to use the unit to scan. I downloaded a variety of third party software and drivers in an attempt to get the scan function working. I had mixed results, and this process seemed to upset the printing side of things. Once I scanned a document, the printer would then not work.
I abandoned the idea of scanning through the MF4150 and have gone back to dedicated Epson scanner.
Since then I have not had any luck getting the printer to print again.
I have gone through all the MF4150 related threads on these boards I can find, and followed the process to installed outlined here - https://discussions.apple.com/message/7657893#7657893 but to no avail.
I really just want this thing to print and it's driving me nuts.
I have the printer attached directly to my MacBook Pro running 10.5.2. I'm not trying to print through the Airport.
I would like to know how to completely uninstall any UFR II drivers and related software / information and start this process from the beginning again.
So far, using the answer provided by PAHU here https://discussions.apple.com/message/7657893#7657893
    I have -
    1. Open System Preferences > Print & Fax
    > DONE
    2. Select the MF4150 printer and press the minus " - " button to remove the printer. Do the same to any other printers that are in the printer list.
    > DONE
    3. Hold down the Control key and click in the empty printer list. A window showing 'Reset printing system' will display. Click this.
    > DONE
    4. Close the Print & Fax utility.
    > DONE
    5. Run the Canon UFR2 v1.70 installer and select Uninstall when the Easy Install menu appears
    > This is where I get snagged. I'm not offered a Uninstall option. I have attached a screen grab of the window I am presented with. I am currently trying the "o1141enx_m_ufr224" version of the UFR driver. I have continued to complete the points below regardless of the fact i cannot uninstall.
    6. Restart the Mac and run the v1.70 installer again to add the UFR2 files back onto your Mac
    7. Go to Applications > Utilities and open Disk Utility. Select the Mac OS X partition in the left pane and select 'Repair Disk Permissions'. When this has completed, quit Disk Utility
    8. Open Print & Fax and add the MF4270 again
    9. Open TextEdit, type some simple text and select to print.
    10. Report back if the above doesn't get you printing.
I have also attach a screen grab of the process I go through when adding the printer.
Any help with this would be amazing. I've tried everything I can think of.
My latest idea is to try and remove any trace of previous printer drivers and go from there. You can see in my list of available drivers in the file attached I now have all sorts of UFR drivers in the list.
Again, if anyone can throw me a line on this that would be great.
    Thanks & Regards
    Coz

    Hello Coz,
It's been a while since you've posted, I hope you have not given up.  I was having grief with my MF4150 as well, but got it working.  There is a more current driver - search for Mac_UFRII_V230_uk_EN and install it.
Then, when you go to add your printer through System Preferences > Print & Fax, make sure you click the "default" icon in the top of the dialog.  It should show your Canon MF 4100 series , then use the bottom drop down menu to choose your driver and select Canno MF410 Series UFRII LT (UK) from the list.

  • How to download printer drivers, how to download printer drivers, how to download printer drivers

I have migrated from Microsoft to Apple and need to know how to find my printer drivers.  I downloaded new driver for Mac OS from Brothers website, but can't find my printer anywhere.  It said the download completed by no where to be found.  Please help.

Under Lion, you should not install the printer driver directly.  Let Apple find it for you via software update.
Here's the detailed article that will help:  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4670
You basically have to have your printer connected to your Mac (for example, by USB or on your wireless network).  Then let Apple find the appropriate driver software for you.

  • How to uninstall printer drivers

I have a 64Gb MacBook Air and installed the printer drivers for an HP printer.  Within a few hours of using the printer, three major faults occurred, so I returned the printer and got my money back.  I'm going to buy a Canon printer now but first I want to remove the HP printer drivers and all references to it.
    I'm using OS 10.7.5.
None of the information I've picked up through the communities works for me becasue they refer to menu options that don't exist on this machine.
    Any help gratefully received.
    Thanks.
    G.

Thanks very much mende1.  I followed your very clear instructions and it worked - all the HP references are now consigned to the dustbin.  Just a shame HP don't consign their model HP2050 to the dustbin!

  • How to install printer drivers manually?

When I installed Leopard, I opted not to install any printer drivers apart from the one for my own printer.
Then my printer died and I got a new printer -- a Brother HL-4070CDW. I assumed I could download the proper driver from Brother's website. Nope! At the website it just says, "Mac OSX 10.5 contains the appropriate printer drivers for your product."
Using Pacifist I was able to extract a folder called BrotherPrinterDrivers from the Leopard install disks. But that folder contains a bunch of files, and I have no idea where to install them on my machine.
Any help from someone who with a good understanding of printer drivers in Leopard would be greatly appreciated.

    Gabriel,
If you do not know where to place them using Pacifist, Follow the instructions listed in this link. Expand the Printer Drivers by clicking on the disclosure arrow, and choose the appropriate manufacturer.
Although the document I linked describes 10.4 installations the procedure will be the same for 10.5 You will find the Optional Installs.mpkg inside the Optional Installs folder.

  • How to remove printer drivers and associated software?

I'm fairly new to Apple, so please bear with me...  I recently upgraded to an Airprint-compatible all-in-one (HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus) and have given my previous Canon MG6150 all-in-one to my daughter.  Now I want to remove the Canon software and the printer driver.  There's no uninstall routines, I've searched the Internet extensively but despite looking carefully in Cannon and Apple sites, haven't found anything that documents my circumstances..
    The software includes
    - Canon IJ Network scanner (currently in menu bar at top left of screen)
    - Easy-Photo Print
    - Canon Solution Menu EX
    - Canon OnScreen Manual
    - MP Navigator EX
    - MP Navigator EX Opener
Most of these seem to be in the Applications folder.  Is it just a case of deleting these from the Applications folder or is there something else to do?
Then there's two drivers (printer and scanner) for the MG6150 all-in-one.  There a *massive pile* of files within Library/Printers/Canon within folders called BJPrinter and IJScanner.  One of these is the Canon IJ Network software referred to above.
    Would appreciate advice...
    Tim

First, resetting your printing system is a good start: right-click on any printer in the System Preferences and click on the command.
Next, while in System Prefs, remove anything printer/scanner related from your Login Items list, e.g. the IJ network scanner.
Log out and back in, the menu item should be gone now.
Now you can go and delete all apps manually, as well as anything Canon related from all Libraries, or get the free "AppCleaner" and drag and drop each app onto it - what's eventually left you can live with.
Restart, then install the new software.

  • Windows 7 pre-installed generic HP printer drivers

I have a Photosmart C7250. When I plug it into my machine, Windows 7 (release client) autmatically finds drivers for Photosmart C7200 series. Some of the functionality of my 7250 is not available such as automatic double-side printing. Also, instead of printing one page-per-sheet, it prints 2 pages on one side as if it is supposed to be a booklet.

You can either wait till the official Win 7 drivers are released, or follow the workaround in the How To Install Printer Drivers in Windows 7 thread, which is stickied to the top of the Win 7 forum here.

  • Printer Drivers and Oracle

We would like to know how to put printer drivers into an Oracle database for download later.
What our aim here is...to always have the latest driver (.exe or .zip) stored in Oracle so we can retrieve it as needed. We will probably set up a web based application to access the drivers from the Oracle database.
    Any ideas? :)

I hava a Point of Sale (POS) System, running SUSE Linux on it alongwith oracle 11g. Been years since I last worked with POS.. using MS-DOS and IPX with ODI drivers. :-)
    1. is it a possible task? I mean, does oracle allow this serial communication from database? It is not Oracle that is doing the communication, but Java.
Have a look at the Processing Architecture in the Oracle Concepts guide (sorry, OTN acting up and doc URLs are timing out so I can't get the applicable ones to post - go to http://tahiti.oracle.com for list of manuals).
The Java VM resides inside the Oracle server process that is servicing that database client. Now for code in this VM to access the kernel (and interact with hardware devices), I would expect holes to be punched into the VM to allow that access - as that VM runs in a sandbox.
    2. is there some error in my code? From what you have posted, does not look like it.
    3. do I need to set some security permission (some kind of init parameter) to allow this kind of operation?Yes, that's my guess. You likely need to use the DBMS_JAVA package to enable that Java code to step outside of the sandbox and into kernel space. But be sensible about security when implementing this though in production.
You want to use the minimal security settings for Java. Ideally you want this to run in a non-user Oracle schema - in other words a schema that owns the Java and PL/SQL code, does not allow interactive sessions, and then in turn grant execute access on selected PL/SQL procedures it owns to application (or user) schemas.
    4. or there is some other way arround to do this. I mean can I call that java class from OS level from within PL/SQL?Yeah.. that can also be done. You can use Java to execute command line calls. You can also use external procedure (EXTPROC) to do the same.

  • HP Color LaserJet CP1215 Printer drivers location

Where on my hard drive has the ljcP1215-HB-pnp-win32-en.exe file from the HP Color LaserJet CP1215 Printer support page installed the needed drivers?

    Hi @zenny ,
I can help you with locating the drivers on the computer.
Here are the instructions for running the Plug and Play drivers.
Click the Download only button and save this file.
Double click on the downloaded file. The self-extracting process will appear.
Click to accept the terms in the license agreement. Click Next.
Driver installation begins. Driver files are pre-installed during this process.
A screen pops up to prompt to connect the USB cable. Insert the USB cable.
Device is connected, waiting for PnP to finish installing driver.
Click Finish to complete software installation.
They extract to the temp folder on the computer.
Press the Windows key and R at the same time, to show the run command line.Type in %temp%. The folder should start with 7z.....
Depending which operating system you are using, I would suggest downloading the Full Feature Software and Drivers if you are still having issues with the Plug and Play drivers.
What operating system are you using? How to Find the Windows Edition and Version on Your Computer.
If you need further assistance, just let me know.
    Have a nice day!

  • How to Fix Disappearing HP Printer Drivers -- Disable HP CUE Device Discovery Service

I have a new HP G60-530US laptop with Windows 7 installed (less than 2 months old). It is connected to an HP 7410 All-in-One Printer and a Brother laser printer.
Three times now, the HP 7410 printer has mysteriously disappeared from the installed printers. The Brother printer does not disappear.
To re-install the HP 7410 printer requires disabling the AVS using the Services, msc utility (not just shutting down the AVS (Panda in my case)).  It takes 20 minutes or so to re-install the HP printer driver software.
HP tech support is clueless about the cause or cure for this.
The laptop people referred me to the printer support people and the printer support people referred me to the laptop support people. The last tech support guy suggested that I restore the system on the theory that if the problem persisted it would be a hardware problem and not a software problem. He seemed to miss the fact that the disappearing printer driver software only occured with HP printers.
    HP technical support was worthless.
Some internet forums suggest that this occurs when HP machines are connected to different networks. I noticed my problem occur after I took the laptop on a business trip and connected to a different wireless network.
On Vista forums, I've discovered that the disappearing HP printer drivers has been a problem for some time over a wide range of HP printers.
The solution identified on those forums is to stop and disable the HP CUE Device Discovery Service. Apparently, this service is used to detect HP printers and add them to the HP Solutions Center software.
In my experience, the HP printer drivers disappeared when my laptop comes into range of a "foreign" HP printer with wireless capabilities. For example, my laptop dropped my configured HP wireless printer when I went to an office that had a different wireless HP printer installed. The HP CUE service trashes the existing printer driver even though you do not intend to install and use the "foreign" printer. That would also explain why the printer drivers disappear when visiting a hotel or other location where any HP wireless devices exist. It would also explain why non-HP drivers do not disappear.
I've disabled the CUE Device Detection Service (using the Services utility). I'll see if that works.  From what I've read, the CUE Device Detection Service is not needed after you have installed your printer, but it remains in your computer's active memory just "in case" you want to connect to a new HP printer and install software for that printer.  Said differently, after your printer is installed, it remains as useless HP software that clogs your machine's resources.
A patch from Microsoft or HP (e.g., a patch that disables the CUE service) would be a big help to users if the number of posts on this issue are any indication of how pervasive this problem is.

This seems to be a common problem that exists for many HP devices, varying computer moakes and models and different operating systems. So, the conclusion must be that it is a HP issue. WHY ARE THEY NOT FIXING IT?
Based on this I am quite happy to buy a different make of printer so how does HP justify the continuing lack of support?
I posted a message about my C7180 All-in-one which had been causing problems but I put it down to me making (unrelated) changes to my system then noticed it got worse when I connected a new Trust digital pad. However, even when the pad is not connected I get the problem of disappearing drivers with the printer still visible.
What seems to happen to my set-up is it works when it is first reloaded and used, but the next time I open the HP software it fails and no other software is able to print/scan on the device.
Can somebody explain what the CUE is? I'll give it a try but I don't know what it refers to.
Who'd have thought that in the 21st century, software/hardware engineeers still can't make a simpy process for a computer. Whatever happened to the promise of plug'n'play?

  • How can I uninstall Xerox print drivers and then reinstall them again

Somehow I installed the wrong print drivers for our xerox printers running on the latest version of leopard and installing the correct driver doesn't seem to solve the problem. I want to remove all xerox driver files and reinstall the correct version of the driver.

    Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash. Most applications create preference files which are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder. Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space. If you want you can located them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application. In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder. You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder. You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder. Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item. Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder. Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences. Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab. Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term.
There are also several shareware utilities that can uninstall applications:
    AppZapper
    CleanApp
    Yank
    SuperPop
    Uninstaller
    Spring Cleaning
Look for them at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.
