How to lock email sounds/alerts

Hi there. Got my first iPhone 5 on launch day...
Is there a way/feature to be able to lock in max alerts /tones out side of ringer volume.
Seems like I somehow get the email sounds/alerts maxed out. But at times they manage to get lower somehow.
Any guidance?

O.K. thanks. I didn't want it to be obvious that I didn't want anyone snooping. My wife is the only other person that will use this computer. If I make her sign in as a guest, then she'll really wonder what I'm hiding. ....Not that I'm hiding anything.
Thank you!

  • How do I Email Report Alert?

I am trying to figure out how to email the alerts set up on a report to the user.  I have only managed to send an email that indicates an alert has been triggered.  But how do I  send the alert details in the form of an email?
    Thank you,

Thank you for your suggestion.  I do not know what platform my CR is running on.  I know that it is a Progress server but other than that I don't know.
I have downloaded 'Crystal Delivery' from the link you provided and I will see if I can figure it out from there.  I have been receiving alert notifications, however the default viewer must not be available since it does not reside on my computer's hard drive.  I will see if this works, but I am a little confused about how to set it up.  Perhaps I will know more once it is installed and I can look around.
I had actually looked into this yesterday after my post but wasn't sure if this was going to interfere with the Crystal Enterprise scheduler that is currently being used.
    Thanks again,

  • Turning off email sound alerts?

Is there some way to turn off the sound alerts just for email?  I don't really need them and they are most annoying at night ... My cell is my only phone and I prefer to leave sound on at night in case of emergencies but have resorted to either tuning it off or putting it over to vibrate as e-mails "nags" come in at all hours...

You can change the notification tone in the email application to silent.

  • How to stop constant sound alerts?

I've turned off everything I can think of, but still getting contant sound alerts approx. every 30 secs.

You can disable sound at the same place in the Settings app. As far as taking the notification off completely, I guess Apple didn't give users an option to do that. There is no where else I was able to find an option that controls texting alerts. I thought that by doing what I wrote previously it would disable any pop-ups but I guess it doesn't. Apple did not give users that option to disable it completely.

  • How To Silence Email Tone Alerts on Nokia E72

Does anyone know how to silence the email alerts on the E72? On my old E71, any keypress would silence the ringtone, but the same does not apply to the E72 and the ringtone keeps on going for the full 3 minutes of its length! The only solution I can find is to change my normal full lenght mp3 ringtone that I have to alert me to emails, to one of the very much shorter built in tones that only ring for a second or two anyway, or to change the profile to 'silent', but again, if I leave the 'vibrate' on, it keeps on vibrating for the full length of the ringtone!!!!

Thanks for the reply, at least now I know that it isn't a fault on the phone, and it's not something I can't get round but it's just annoying! I actually upgraded from the E71 to the new N8 but was very dissappointed with it and all the email problems it had (see my posts regarding the same) and ended up returning it and going for what I thought would be an upgrade from the amazing E71, but sadly have found that it feels more like a downgrade.........................not only with the tone problem, but with the way emails are displayed, the problems using links within an email message and even downloading attachments. I find that some attachments open immediately but others, even if they are not very big, will not download for love nor money and I have to actually open a browser and go to my gmail that way and download from there!!!  Sometimes I just give up completely and go back to using my trusty old E71 in offline mode and use wifi to retrieve my emails!!!!

  • New email sound alerts not working

Hi, I have tried setting up a rule to make a sound effect play when a new email arrives but whatever i do it does not seem to work - has anyone tried this? I just want a little noise to sound when a new email arrives but I get nothing with a correctly set up rule. . . . . .

It works fine for me, selecting a sound there in Preferences. If all you want is for any arriving email to trigger a sound, that is all you need, rather than trying to set up a rule.
Two things you have probably tried: One, make sure your sound is on, rather than muted. Two, delete any rules you may have tried setting up to play sounds and try it with only the Preference enabled; it's possible the rules you've set are interfering with the Preference doing its job.

  • How do I enable sound alert for messages

When I get a message it shows as a sient notification. Is there anyway to enable an Audi me alert

There are a couple of things for which to check here:
    1.  Make sure that you have audio notifications enabled.  Go into Skype and choose "Settings" from the menu.  From there, choose Notifications and make sure that "Notification Sound" is checked.
    2.  If you're still not hearing notifications for chat messages, make sure your phone is not on Vibrate or Priority Mode.  If you've got the Android 5.0 update on your G3, then we will obey the "Priority" notification setting for sounds and not play them on incoming chat messages, but the phone will ring audibly.  When you change the volume using the volume buttons, you can choose "All" instead of "Priority" below the volume slider and notifications should then come with audio.
Let us know if that makes a difference

Have them install Quicktime on their PC's from Apple's website, that's the easiest fix.

  • How to configure email Alerts in OEM Cloud 12c for Database Servers up/down

    Hi everybody,
How to configure email Alerts in OEM Cloud 12c for Database Servers up/down status?
    Regards,
    Miguel Vega

    Hi Miguel Vega,
    Information regarding the notifications:
    ==============================
Configuring notification rules in 12c is different from earlier releases.
The concept and function of notification rules has been replaced with a two-tier system consisting of Incident Rules and Incident Rule Sets :
    1. Incident Rules: Operate at the lowest level granularity (on discrete events) and performs the same role as notification rules from earlier releases.
By using incident rules, you can automate the response to incoming incidents and their updates.
A rule contains a set of automated actions to be taken on specific events, incidents or problems.
The actions taken are for example : sending e-mails, creating incidents, updating incidents, and creating tickets.
    2. Incident Rule Set: A rule set is a collection of rules that applies to a common set of objects, for example, targets, jobs, and templates.

I have a new iPhone 5C, have the sounds alerts set up. But I'm not getting sound alerts for new voicemail, only the red circle on the screen.  How can I make the sound alert work?

I have had this same problem for weeks now with my 4S.  I just got a new 5S after being extremely frustrated and the same thing - no sounds.  After searching posts all over, I couldn't find a solution. I just told my friend of the issue and he asked "Do you have the Do Not Distrub on?"  I didn't even know such a function existed.  Upon looking that was exactly the issue.
To resolve, go to Settings> Do Not Disturb> Manual.  If it is green, turn it off.  You will now get phone calls and text alerts.
This functionality is also on your quick access utility menu (slide up menu).  I assume this is how it was enabled on my phone.
I will post on other sites since I searched for weeks for this solution and didn't see it anywhere.  Good luck!

Open the Calendar app, open the event, tap Edit and change the Alert times.
If you want to change the default time, Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, scroll down to Calendars - Default Alert Times.
