How to Lock iPhone opened app

At one time, I saw a way to lock the iPhone 4 with an app open. It wasn't some external app, but came with an update. You had to do a certain button push or combination. Does anyone remember?

Is your network setting set to automatic?
"Once you select a network, iPhone uses only that network. If the network is unavailable, “No service” appears on the iPhone screen and you can’t make or receive calls or visual voicemail, or connect to the Internet via cellular data network. Set Network Settings to Automatic to have iPhone select a network for you." http://www.apple.com/iphone/how-to/index.html#settings.carrier

  • HT4623 With the new software update on the iphone, how do I delete a photo and also how do I close open apps so I dont wear battery down

With the new update for iphone, how do I delete a photo and how do I close open apps.  There used to be a delete button to delete a photo and I used to double click on the main phone button and then click on the x to close an app.

Wipe the drive using DiskUtility and download and reinstall Yosemite and set it up as a new Mac. Then purchase the Apps you require with your own Apple ID which you will enter when setting up the new Mac.

  • I want to know HOW to CLOSE Multiple Open Apps at ONCE. I keep mistakenly opening lots of things at one time.

I want to know HOW to CLOSE Multiple Open Apps at ONCE. If I have many apps going at one time and want to stop fast, surely there is a way to hit like(alt-F4 in Windows) and BAM! They all go down. I need a feature like that...

Alt+F4 in Windows only closes the active program.
Command+Q does the same thing for Mac. Just keep hitting that key combo untill all are closed.

How do i close open apps to save my battery using ios7

Double click the home button to bring up the multitask bar, hold one app icon until they all start to shake, hit the little minus icon to close the app. Click on the home button to get back to the home screen again.
In most of the cases deleting the mail account and setting it up again can cure the battery drain. There have been cases in which the mail app got stuck trying to connect to the server over and over again, causing the drain.

  • How may I enable open apps to relaunch at startup?

With Mountain Lion, how may I enable open apps (at shutdown) to relaunch at startup?

Thanks. Your suggestion is exactly that which I have already done. Interestingly, there is only one app not opening when booting up.
Any other ideas - greatly appreciated.
BTW - It's always nice to run across another who enjoys any heading from getting saoked on a beat to running full and bye. Sailing remains one of my great loves. I used to race Lightnings, and compete in the (old) SORC.

    Direct answer: you can't.
Here is what the User Guide says:
To close an application or a screen, in Card view (see Manage
applications in Card view), throw the card off the top of the screen. If
cards are in a stack (see Work with stacked cards), you can only throw
    one card at a time.
You close the apps by throwing the card away, plain and simple.
@direstrates:  Are you asking how to kill all running apps with one command?  Only way I know how is by doing the two-finger reboot.
