I have an issue, i need to lock WBS element to a report or user to avoid double posting if other user is also running the same report.

I would like to seek your help on how to lock wbs element in a report program. Is there any bapi or function module for that? The requirement is to lock the wbs element when the user process/run that particular WBS. If the user exit to the report program, then that is the time that the other user can be able to process the WBS.

There is no BAPI or function module to lock on unlock a WBS element.Goto Tansaction CJ02,put in the WBS element and repsetive project.
in CJ02, go to EDIT->STATUS->LOCK/UNLOCK.

Did You ever use - iPhoto ?
Did You may be direct iPhoto to a different Photo Library
As iMovie tries to find the appropriate photo library - it can get lost if iPhoto direct it into a Library on a not connected external hard disk or to a strange location - And iMovie HANGS.
Do - When no other program is running that might interfere
• Start iPhoto - BUT NOW KEEP alt-key (option key) DOWN during the full Start-Up process
• Now iPhoto let's You select Photo Library
• Select the one in Your Account / Home folder / Pictures ! !
• Then iPhoto should start up OK
• Now Quit iPhoto
• START iMovie
Does it still hangs - then I would suspect - iMovie Pref. file
If it Run's OK - Then HURRAY !

Go to SE11, in the option 'Lock object' enter the name of your lock,
begin with 'E', suppose 'EXXXX' And create. In tab 'Tables' fill the
table name where the record you want to lock exist and select the
lock mode. Lock mode can be shared and exclusive. If 'shared',
when you lock the record, other can also read data, but can not
modify. If 'exclusive', when you lock the record, other can neither
read nor modify the record. After save and activate, you will get two
function module.'ENQUEUE_EXXXX' to lock record,
'DEQUEUE_EXXXX' to release lock on one record.
When use this function module it only lock one record at a time. It
does not lock the table.

The description of an SAP lock to a table is made via the lock condition and the lock mode.
The lock condition is a logical condition for the lines of the table to be locked. It describes the area of the table which the lock is to protect from competitive access. To avoid the administration of the lock becoming complicated, the lock condition can not be formulated as freely as the WHERE clauses: only fully qualified key fields related by AND may appear in the condition.
Via the lock mode you define which operations on the table are to be protected by the lock. The lock modes available are:
Read lock (shared lock)
protects read access to an object. The read lock allows other transactions read access but not write access to the locked area of the table.
Write lock (exclusive lock)
protects write access to an object. The write lock allows other transactions neither read nor write access to the locked area of the table.
Enhanced write lock (exclusive lock without cumulation)
works like a write lock except that the enhanced write lock also protects from further accesses from the same transaction.
In order to be able to define SAP locks for a table, you must first create a lock object for the table via Development->Dictionary.
If the data for an application object is distributed among several database tables, it is often necessary to be able to lock these tables simultaneously. It is therefore possible to include several tables in a lock object, althought they must be related via appropriate foreign key relationships. The tables involved in a lock object are also known as its base tables.

okay I've finally been able to get tor and all the other programs to work according to my plan the only thing that's still making problems is that iptables doesn't work as I want it to, when I start chromium without proxy settings privoxy doesn't seem to forward the information to polipo.. do I need to add another rule to iptables.rules in order for the program to know it has to reroute the information again or how can I get this to work? and is there any way to run rtorrent with proxy support?
anyway, problem 2 and 3 are still to be solved.
and does anybody know where i can get a good dansguardian blacklist that was not designed for 6 year old children and for which I don't need to subscribe? I'm still getting these partypoker popups -.-

I will +1 Pixelan's products. They are great, simple, and have about the best support that I know of. When you explore, say Pixelan's SpiceMaster, dig deeply. Things appear rather mundane, on the surface, but there is so very much power lurking, just below the surface. Lock WBS for time sheet users, allow expenses

Hi,
I have one project which is having release status.
Now as i have finished my hours for this project , so i want to lock WBS element for Time Sheet users.
But at the same time accounts user should be allowed to book expenses on this WBS element.
How and which status should i set in this case?

You can define the required User status in the status profile .
For eg your Network has a status profile ZPSxxxx and the status profile for the activities is also the same .
you can define your required User status within that status profile and define whatever business trnasactions can be carried out on assigning the User status .
Further more , i think you need to develop a user exit in addition to the User status .
When the user enters his time sheet the Logistic confirmations are posted only when the Time sheets are transferred to PS/PM/CO et...
so even setting the status might not stop the user from reporting time , but the hours would land up in COFC as erroneous confirmations .
So a user exit might help you to check the user status on the object and prevent the user in reporting time itself .

How to take WBS from table PRPS

I want to take WBS from table PRPS but what happening is
in POSID wbs is stored without seperating special charactrs (eg.-./)
eg. y.003.02 is stored as y00302
and in POSKI it strored as it y.003.02 but problem is here limitation is 16 char and long length WBS are stored upto 16 char.
then how to read WBS having more than 16 char. POSID is having 24 Chr limit but here valus strored without seperatrs.
I want to extract whole WBS with seperater characters.
Please tell exact filed / table (If anu other) and how to get it.

Use following conversion exit in ur programe............
CONVERSION_EXIT_ABPSN_INPUT
CONVERSION_EXIT_ABPSN_OUTPUT
Then WBS ID wil be shown with special characters.
