I was on my yahoo mail using wi-fi. How do I log out and come back to the main mail screen where it just has a picture of yahoo mail, gmail, AOL etc..??
    Someone help.

To do that, you need to go out of mail and into Settings --> Mail, select your yahoo account, and switch it OFF (slider at top of screen).
When you next go into Mail, you'll be presented again with the setup screen with Y!Mail GMail .mac icons etc..

  • How to log out of mail on iPad

Can I log out of my mail account
    on the iPad iOS6

I think the reason that there isn't a way to login/out of an email account is because each individaul account can be enabled/disabled in the mail settings (settings / mail/contacts/calendars). You select an account and you can turn off that account there.
I have several email accounts that I keep off but only enable once in a while to verify a registration somewhere.
That is the closest thing you can ge to logging in/out for now.

  • HT201320 How to log out of mail

How can settings be set to sign in & out of email?

You can't, using the built in mail program.  Since the pad is designed as a single user device, once you get past the main passcode, the functions are open.
If you have an e mail account that you do not want others to see when they are playing around with your pad, simply turn the account off in settings, or delete it entirely, and access it using web mail.
(hoping for a change to this with a future iOS update, but you never know)

  • How to log out of Mail?

I set up mail on my iMac, so that it automatically retrieves emails from my aol mail account. Now, I realize that anybody else in my family using the computer will have access to my email.
How do I undo or delete this? I no longer want my iMac to automatically download my AOL emails for everyone to read.
Please help, as my privacy is at risk!
    Thanks.

You could disable automatic email retrieval in your mail preferences, but don't think that would accomplish your goal of protecting your privacy. Rather, why not create new accounts for each user on the Mac, enable fast-user-switching, and require passwords to enter another user's account. Go to system preferences > accounts > '+' to create a new user account.

  • How can i log out of mail?

Is there really no way to log out of Mail on a Macbook Pro? I can quit Mail but when I click to icon I'm straight back into my inbox. This means that unless I want everyone in the house to potentially be able to see my emails, I have to logout of my laptop every time I go out? This is crazy. How can I even plan a secret birthday present for my partner if my inbox is on display when he walks past the computer?

I didn't mean to sound rude. I do get that if I sign in i see my mail, and if someone else signs in their see their mail. But the logic is that once you've instigated Mail on your macbook, you are compelled for ever more to sign OUT of your account each time you leave the laptop, if you want you want your email to be private. Until now, I have never signed in or out of my user account - we just all browse using the same account (and log in and out of our own facebook and bank accounts etc) because there is nothing private associated with the account. But now, I've launched the Mail app and everyone has to fiddle around signing in and out each time. It's not that I have anything very secret but I'd still like to know the email exchanges I have with friends are private.
What I'm doing now - this for the benefit of those who come after who have made the same error - is create a new user account for myself and I'm transferring all files and preferences across. And then I just won't use the other account again.
So that is all a bit insane.

  • When trying to log into yahoo mail, I get the message saying 'The page isn't redirecting properly'. I deleted history/ restarted firefox. How can this be fixed?

When trying to log into yahoo mail, I get the message saying 'The page isn't redirecting properly'. I deleted history/ restarted firefox. How can this be fixed?

If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit)

  • I cannot use Yahoo's IM feature from Fire Fox when logged into Yahoo Mail; why?

I can, and do, log into Yahoo Mail to manage my e-mail while using Fire Fox as my browser, however, if while working within Yahoo Mail I decide to use Yahoo's instant messaging feature and click on one of my contacts who is online and available, the IM panel opens but, immediately a Bing search opens in the message area and blocks all further attempts to send an instant message to the person I wish to chat with. How can I overcome this problem?
