How to look up a value from a list

I have a DVM with 1 domain and a list of values such as
country.dvm
domain: Country
values: Italy
French
Spain
The reason I use DVM is I want to add new countries in the future during runtime.
I receive a country and I want to check if that country is on this list or not. If so I'll set a flag to true.
Do you know how to do this?

Here's what my business requirement is. I have a message containing a list of countries and if any of these countries match one of the countries on the list of the DVM then I'll proceed and process this message. Otherwise, I'll ignore it. So that's why I thought of using DVM for its simplicity and I'm planning to do this in normal BPEL swith/while/assign activity
Can you elaborate more about the service option please? What do I need to do?
The list of countries can grow/reduce in the future so I want to be able to add or remove in the future.

How to get multiple values from the list

Lets say the item that i selected from the list is 'Xplace' and I clicked on the Select District button,
what I got is this error message:
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to convert string 'Xplace' to class java.util.Vector for attribute usrTDistrict: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Property Editor not registered with the PropertyEditorManager
So where is going wrong and what the message means?. Any help very much appreciated. Thanks

These are just guesses that might hopefully steer you in directions you haven't looked in yet.
I presume you used triangle brackets (< >) to avoid having the Jive Forum think it was the "italics" tag?
Are you certain this: dbaseInfo.getcurrentDistrictID(nstate,vselectedDistrict);
expects a Vector as its second parameter? And returns a Vector?
I don't believe you've shown how you use the javabean, or its code? Perhaps it should be rewritten to accept an array of strings instead of a Vector?

The findElement method allows various attributes to be used to search. Take the following two examples for the element below:

I can find the element based on its name or any other attribute, I just need to specify what I am looking for. To find it by name I would do the following:
Set x = RSWApp.om.FindElement("ProdType","SELECT","Name")
If I want to search by id I could do the following:
Set x = RSWApp.om.FindElement("testProd","SELECT","ID")
Usually you will use whatever is available. Since the select element has no name or ID on the Empirix home page, I used the onChange attribute. You can use any attribute as long as you specify which one you are using (last argument in these examples)
You can use the FindElement to grab links, text boxes, etc.
The next example grabs from a link on a page

How to extract an element value from a String of HTML

I have a web service that returns a fragment of HTML that contains a number in a table. The return parameter type is a string. I need to get this number and use it in a BPEL while loop, as the condition for the loop (while the number > 0).
I have tried using the function bpws:getVariableData() but the BPEL PM faults and says: XPath expression failed to execute. Error while processing xpath expression. I think this is because I am trying to apply an XPath expression over a String variable.
The return value from my web service looks like this:

I realise too, a root element will be needed. This is not a mission critical problem as we could change the web service at the other end. i have one input table and two output tables (name it as output1, output2). Selected rows from input table are displayed in output1 table. The data in output1 table is temporary(means the dat wont store in database just for display purpose).

Use NVL or COALESCE:
NVL (col_a, col_b)
Returns col_a if col_a is not NULL; otherwise, it returns col_b.
Col_a and col_b must have similar (if not identical) datatypes; for example, if col_a is a DATE, then col_b can be another DATE or it can be a TIMESTAMP, but it can't be a VARCHAR2.

Below execute statement should work along the parameter mapping which you have provided. Also try specifying the parameter size property as default.

Add a script task to check ssis variables values using,
Msgbox(Dts.Variables("User::strExtractStartDate").Value)
Do not forget to add the property "readOnlyVariables" as strExtractStartDate variable to check for only one variable.

Just think of dynpros as windows into the global memory of your program... so if you want the value of a field on dynpro 1234 to appear on dynpro 2345, then just pop the value into a global variable (i.e. one defined in your top include), and you will be able to see it in your second dynpro (assuming you make the field formats etc the same on both screens!).

What kind of web page do you have? Do you have possibility to for example make RFCs? Then you could trigger events (with parameters that could "return" the values) and the workflow could react to those events. For example your task can have terminating events.
