Hi Florian,
I believe if SAP does not want the table to be maintained manually it has done so for a purpose (may be i am wrong).
And for your observation on maintaining the table through SE16N this is because in the table attributes it must be "Entries can be maintained".

    Can anybody help me to know, how to maintain entry in table V_T160M_CS?
    Raj

    Hi Raj,
    Have you tried OPJB.
    1.'New entries'.
    2. Enter version as 000, application area (the first two digits of the message no, for BOM it would be CO ), & message no.
    3 Under category maintain as E Or W.
    Check if it work. So far I know you can not update Change Message type of BOM from customizing.

  • How to maintain entries in table T158G? Please help!

    Hi Experts,
        We want to maintain new movement type entries in the table T158.
        How do we maintain entries in this table? is there any tcode or FM to do that?
        Please help.
    Thanks
    Gopal

    Hello Gopal,
    You should go through the transaction OMJJ by creating a new movement type as copy from a standard movement.
    Table T158G contains which transactions can be assigned to BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE.
    Each transaction has a GM code (assign code) for BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE.
    With this method, the system does not support goods movements that are initiated by other application components via BAPI.
    I hope this information helps you.

    Hi Joshi,
    Thank you verymuch for your quick reply. I think these views are not helpful.

  • How to create entries in sm30 without transport request

    Hi all!
    I would like to make entries in a  table using sm30 but I dont want  transport request popup to come up.
    Is it possible to disable the transport process for that table?
    I have been told that if I change delivery class from C to A the problem will get resolved .
    But it is still askinf for transport request.
    Regards,
    Rachel

    Hi Rachel,
    Ideally when we give the delivery class as 'A' and create tab.maintenance generator with the radio button 'No or User Recording routine', it will not ask you for the transport request.
    When we want to transport the entries, you need to change the class as 'C' and also change the radiobutton option in tmg screen as 'Standard Recording routine'.
    If the problem still exists, please regenerate the tab.maintenance and the entries in the table with del.class as 'A', and select radiobutton option to 'No or User Recording routine'.
    This should help.
    Thanks,
    Guru

  • Mass Maintain entries in tcode OKB9

    Hi,
    How to maintain entries in OKB9 - Default Account Assignment...
    We want to maintain the entries as per Business Area / valuation area against respective Cost Element...
    We have approx 500 Cost Element and approx 40 Business Areas....and it's very time consuming...
    Can we Upload in Mass with new Business Area...any BDC / LSMW is possible for that...???
    Please guide...

    Hi,
    Tell me one thing that, do you want to upload all 1000 entries with single click or what???
    For any BDC/LSMW, you must create an EXCEL file in advance to upload them.
    Even to design BDC/LSMW also takes time...
    Just prepare the excel file with below columns and COPY and PASTE into OKB9. (But only 21 rows at a time and SAVE and again 21 rows...and so on)
    Comp code
    Cost Elemant
    <BLANK COLUMN>
    Cost Center
    Order
    <BLANK COLUMN>
    Profit Center
    Cant expect more than this solution.

  • Maintain entries in SE16

    Hi,
    How to maintain entries in SE16 for a particular table when there is no maintenance view and also tell me the posibility of transporting those entries to another clients.
    Thanks
    Gayathri

    Hi Gayathri,
    Goto SE16N.
    Enter table name.
    in the command field write &sap_edit and push enter button.
    Then execute the entries.
    You can change the entries as you wish and then push the save button .
    Then go to SE01.
    Create a workbench request manually.
    Program ID : R3TR
    Object : TABU
    Object name : Table name.
    Press key button. There press table contents button. Select entire table.
    Thus you can transport table contents.
    However, as long as possible, I would advise you to update entries in a table via table maintenance screens.

  • How to maintain Ztable using function module instead of SM30

    Hi Friends,
    please tell me , How to maintain Ztable or view using function module instead of SM30.
    Thanks,
    Veerendra.

    Hi,
    You can design your report and use Function module VIEW_MAINTENANCE_CALL for that.
    You need to use Action type as 'S' for displaying and 'U' for maintaining the table.
    Ex:
    CALL FUNCTION 'VIEW_MAINTENANCE_CALL'
      EXPORTING
        ACTION                               =  'S'
        VIEW_NAME                            =  'Table Name'
    EXCEPTIONS
       CLIENT_REFERENCE                     = 1
       FOREIGN_LOCK                         = 2
       INVALID_ACTION                       = 3
       NO_CLIENTINDEPENDENT_AUTH            = 4
       NO_DATABASE_FUNCTION                 = 5
       NO_EDITOR_FUNCTION                   = 6
       NO_SHOW_AUTH                         = 7
       NO_TVDIR_ENTRY                       = 8
       NO_UPD_AUTH                          = 9
       ONLY_SHOW_ALLOWED                    = 10
       SYSTEM_FAILURE                       = 11
       UNKNOWN_FIELD_IN_DBA_SELLIST         = 12
       VIEW_NOT_FOUND                       = 13
       OTHERS                               = 14.
    Hope this helps.

  • Validation: How to maintain the entry in GB02C

    HI FI GURUS n EXPERTS,
    My requirement is that - We want to restrict Negative posting for some GL i.e. For some GL balance should not be Zero.
    When I have made the search on SDN, I found it can be done with the help of Validation: OB28 & GGB0.
    Currently we are not using any validation. When we use T-Code GGB0 --> Financial Accounting --> Line Item --> New Validation
    System shows a pop-up window to select Boolean Class & Message ID.
    I also found that this information is maintained in Table GB02C.
    When I use Se16 to see the detail of the table GB02C, I found there is only one entry Bool. Class: FP1 & Message ID 7F.
    But I don't know How to maintain the entry in table GB02C & What is the T-Code for it. which message ID I have to create.
    Please help.
    DSC

    Dear Alex,
    When I use: GGB0 --> Financial Accounting --> Line Item --> New Validation
    System shows a pop-up window to select Boolean Class & Message Class, I select the Message Class 9 and for Message Class Press F4 and select any message class. System gives an error message: Message ID must start with 'Z' Message no. GB116.
    Basically, My question is that: Which T-Code we have to use to maintain Boolean Class & Message Class.

  • SM30 - V_TIBAN . How to maintain ?

    Hi ,
    While trying to maintain an entry for view V_TIBAN , following error message is coming.
    View/table V_TIBAN can only be displayed and maintained with restrictions
    Message no. SV792
    Diagnosis
    You tried to call a maintenance dialog for the view/table V_TIBAN, for which the table maintenance is only allowed with restrictions. You can only edit the data in the environment of another program or a view cluster.
    How to maintain an entry for it ????
    The need is to edit a particular IBAN value from the system.
    Thanks in advance,
    Jai

    This table is common to many "objects"
    - Customers
    - Vendor
    - Society bank account
    So SAP restricted the use of the maintenance dialog, better use the transaction which maintain the data above mentioned.
    The dialog maintenance main purpose was initialization, since OSS [Note 983944 - New FIBAN transaction|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/983944] transaction FIBAN should be used.

  • How to maintain table t180v and t180z

    hi all,
    when we customized va05 by copying it to zva05, SAP system prompt to maintain entry in both t180v and t180z. please advise the proper way to do that. thanks.

    Just sharing for the benefit of everyone.
    I had a similar issue when I was running an SD transaction VA45 for list of Contracts for Material and a Customer combination.
    The error message read "Please maintain an entry in Table T180Z." However I was not sure what entry had to be maintained. I debugged to see what entry was missing and then I was not sure how to maintain an entry in that Table. TCode OVBE is for Table 180V and in SM30 you can maintain T180V because it was a view table.
    Finally I was able to find transaction VXKP for maintaining the entry in table T180Z. This is where you maintain a default layout too.

  • How to maintain the data in the view cluster

    we are doing upgrade, we have one view cluster app_log in this object scwb
    and subobjects is swtlo1,02,03 like i have some subobjects in 4.6c we transported the view cluster to ecc6.0 in ecc 6.0 i have object scwb  but subobjects doesn't exist how to maintain the subobjects in view cluster.

    Definition
    A view cluster is a group of maintenance dialogs which are collected in one maintenance unit for business or technical reasons. They allow related data in more than one table/view to be maintained consistently.
    Use
    Whereas only 1:1 relationships can be processed in maintenance views (except for language-dependent texts), key extensions and relationships of cardinality N:M can also be handled in view clusters. Maintenance dialogs with no key, or partial key-dependence, can also be combined into view clusters.
    Grouping dialogs into one maintenance unit has the following advantages for data maintenance:
    Navigation: A view cluster contains convenient standard navigation between the individual maintenance dialogs. This simplifies the maintenance of the data in a view cluster.
    Consistency: The view cluster ensures data consistency when deleting, copying, saving, retrieving and manually transporting data. For example when an entry in a higher-level view is deleted, , it automatically ensures that all dependent entries in lower-level views are also deleted.
    You can first split tables with a lot of fields into various views and then collect them into a view cluster.
    Use tabs to format very wide tables with a lot of fields.
    Structure
    Navigation in a view cluster is usually based on the hierarchy of the tables/views on which the dialogs are based. A view cluster usually consists of one or more root dialogs and the at most 14 maintenance dialogs which depend on them. A view at a lower level has one or more additional fields in its key compared its higher-level view. Each data record at the higher level has several dependent data records below it.
    Each maintenance dialog is an independent unit consisting of an overview screen or an overview and a detail screen, depending on the dialog type. As well as the data to be maintained, the overview screen contains a navigation area, in which you can go to higher or lower level maintenance dialogs.
    One-level maintenance dialogs only contain one screen, the list screen, in which all existing data records are displayed in a table. In a two-level maintenance dialog, double-clicking on a data record in the list screen takes you to the detail screen, which displays all the fields in the selected data record.
    Generate a maintenance dialog for each view before you call the cluster maintenance (SM34). When you generate the maintenance dialog, flag the key fields which are identical in the view and its higher-level in the cluster, with the maintenance attribute S. The system fills the key fields when you go from the upper to the lower level, with the values of the data record selected in the upper level. Go to the transaction SE54 to define a view cluster.
